[Question] Oda. Do you think he can keep One Piece on this quality level for another decade?

No I'm pretty sure people will start to bash it when it's starting to end because things aren't going how they want just like naruto

Yes he can, there are a few big differences between One Piece and Naruto/DB

once Kishimoto ran out of elements to (ekhm) borrow from Togashi Naruto became less focused on set-up, he managed OK until the Pain arc but after he started to just pull stuff out of his a?? (like Kaguya), the one thing Naruto still has is Naruto v Sasuke so Kishi should stop f????g around and fix his manga

Toriyama also had absolutely no idea how to proceed since he wanted to end DB so he made up stuff as he went

on the other hand at this point One Piece has enough material for another decade of story telling even if OP was't initially planed to last this long, major plot-lines that were here for volumes:
- the Yonko (introduced in volume 45, of that Shanks in chapter 1 and BB in volume (I think) 34)
- Dragon and the revs (chapter 100)
- the Marines (introduced all throughout the series)
- the WG
- there's also the ancient weapons (Alabasta)
- the Final war
- Mihawk

and a LOT more story-lines that can easily fill 400 chapters without any a??pulls, even more these are the stories we all want, the most epic of the bunch, the best of OP is still to come

PS: don't let anyone ever tell you that set up is bad, for the story it's much better than action ;)

PPS if anyone can manage a story like this it's Oda and Togashi, they are the geniuses (among some others) of this generation, just ask Tsugumi Ohba/Takeshi Obata if you don't believe me ;)

Well, with the material he still has, like the Yonkos, the WG, Dragon, the final war I think the quality will improve.

Didn't Oda admit to making the manga up as he goes and the only certain thing he had in mind was the ending? If that's the case, then I really doubt it.

But he does have a lot of good materials to work with like the Revolution, Yonko, and Admirals etc.

That's dumb
Did it ever occur to anybody that Kishi always planned the final villain to be the reason why everybody has chakra
And there is some inspiration from HxH and yu yu hakusho but not enough to even really affect the plot especially to say that after he stop using it naruto went bad

Kaguya was introduced what? 30 chapters ago? he just keeps pulling villains out of his a??, so what if it was planned (which you don't know), it was executed abysmally

Your stupid post is filled with assumptions. Naruto only has minor themes from HxH. There's nothing plot depthening that was copied aside from the already popular "exam" theme. Everything is original.
I'm amazed that you can say Kaguya was pulled out his ass or came out of no where randomly and still worship One Piece seeing as how almost all the major villians come out of no where. If Kishimoto has been pulling things out of his ass, then what about Oda who has, in a sense admitted that he's been making a lot up as he goes.
You don't have any facts to back up your statement about Toriyama, so until you do, your opinion is void, as usual.

He's been writing OP since 1997 and OP is only getting better overall storywise. So yeah I think he can write OP while maintaining(improving TBH) the quality of the manga for 10+ years.

1. chakra aka nen, the exams with a pedo and scrolls aka number plates, sasuke aka killua+kurapika, ... though Kishi's best arc is original

2. you can't introduce a side-villain like enel 100 chapters prior and you can't introduce the last villain like Kaguya (or maybe more are gonna pop up) in the very last second (not even a droplet before that), if you wanna make a parallel of Kaguya to OP think BB or Akainu or the Gorosei, it's like if JK Rowling wrote in chapter 20 of the deathly hallows ''oh yea and BTW the main bad guy is this guy named Voldemort, he killed harry's parents ...'' and that would be the first we heard of him

3. it's common knowledge that Toriyama wanted to finish DB on several occasions and it's no secret that DB is very inconsistent, it might be a nostalgia-favorite but you won't fool anyone by saying it's good story-telling

PS: I'm done this is a thread about OP
