oddly enough. I'd have to agree. i know a few Americans and most (not all) are extremely loud and obnoxious and think they know everything. u.u

I'm not going to bother reading past the first page so here's my general opinion of this topic:
I'm definitely Asian born American - I've lived in California my entire life, and was brought up with the culture of America.
I have to admit, in the past, we Americans did help a lot of other countries out particularly because several centuries ago we saw the injustice of an absolute ruler government, and we disliked it, thus fighting against the British and forming America.
So, based on that origin, we know that it's "bad" for other people to experience this, upon where we get kind of paranoid about a mass "communist" outbreak and influence in the world (the Policy of Containment, if you will) and make some rather unnecessary, and perhaps, stupid, mistakes in the past century, that may have lead us right to this global economic crisis failure and bad reputation, whereas we could have been one of the largest and dominant leading powers.
I have plenty of British friends, and yes, they all hate Americans (Though, I have to argue, if America did not step in to help them in both wars, where would they be now?). Why? Because of the stereotypes that Mizu laid out, upon which I agree to an extent that they are rather true.
Since I'm Japanese, I'll use my culture in comparison to the Americans.
We are rather spoiled, take a lot of things for granted, and know very little self-respect for one another. We are a consumer economy, where we are all influenced by a lot of propaganda to buy and buy and buy...thus, we "buy an iPod touch..."OMG! AN IPAD IS COMING OUT! *tosses the iPod we just bought not long ago while it's still clearly usable and picks up an iPod instead" whereas other cultures might just be fine with using that one iPod touch for several years until it's unusable.
Comparing American houses AND hotels to Japan, we need a lot of space. In Japan, I lived in a single apartment home that was about the size of my living room here, and I was sleeping with about eleven of my relatives in that "tiny" space. When I came back from Japan, I was thinking..."Dam, my house can fit like eighty people compared to how much space people use in Japan..." Think of capsule hotels too.
Now, I'll talk about the recent Earthquake event in Japan whereas I'm sure most, if not all, people know about. Right now, Japan has a shortage of food and electricity, and this system of rotation is going around Tokyo and other cities to conserve electricity and such. There is little food and water available, HOWEVER, everyone still lines up politely in line, they never bargain over food or try to steal from others. If food runs out, so be it, register and come back, it was first come, first serve, no? They even share amongst themselves and try to support one another.
Now, let's say the disaster happened here in USA. Wouldn't there be a riot already? Wouldn't we Americans think about saving our own asses first before others? I'm pretty sure there will be chaos over shortage of food too...
So, I simply labeled out two or so examples there. I can't blame everything on America as with most global problems right now, it's the cause of human desires for greed and power...but there are certainly ways we can improve comparing to many other countries.

America is basically the world rolled into 50 states. You will find every ethnicity of the world in America, and all the worlds problems are boiled down to the issue America faces.
Most Americans I know are actually stuck up shitheads. They think that everything in the world needs to apply to the way a common American thinks. I don't hate America, I just can't stand obnoxious *******s. Sarah Palin? Best example. Rush Limbaugh? Complete *******. Freedom of Speech? Overrated. Land of the Free and home of the Brave? Uh The Home of the Brave is Scotland and the Land of the Free? Talk about Land of the Fee!
