The thing is that most people dont realise how strong itachi was, not forgeting he was only about 18 and much younger when he whiped out the clan!!

Itachi was and still is by far my favorite character in the manga and I understand your point you're trying to make Dreamer, so I figured that I'd help you out a little and correct you by saying that Itachi was actually about 14 when he whipped out his clan, 17-18 when he kicked Kakashi's ass, and about 20 when he died. I honestly think that he could have kicked Jiraiya's ass if he really wanted to even though he said that Jiraiya would have killed him and kisame. People always bring up the fact that he said that buuuuuuuuut he also said that he wanted to steal Sasuke's eyes and a bunch of other shit that we know isn't true now. We didn't know that Itachi was a good guy then but with the information we have about Itachi now, we know that he wouldn't actually want to fight Jiraiya or take Naruto. If anyone thinks someone is stronger than Itachi I have one word...."Susano." Of course he's dead now so all we can do is speculate.
As for predictions, all I know is that Pein better not beat the damn 6 tailed kyuubi or I'll be extremely pissed.

Think about Itachi's gift, its only the only logical way for Naruto to control the nine-tails, especially in his berserker state as he is in now. The only thing with the power to completely control the Nine-Tailed Fox's power is the Sharingan's INFLUENCE...think about it. You should come to the same conclusion, why else would Masashi Kishimoto used the symbolism of the Shodaime's necklace being destroyed and the Kyuubi finally moving on its own.
(In Naruto's 4 Tailed-State he could not move, maybe because of the necklace, and maybe because there was no bone structure.)
(now it is apparent that the necklace restrained the Kyuubi's influence upon Naruto from the sealing jutsu it attempted on the Kyuubi-6-Tailed-Form, which failed and resulted in its breakage..XD )
Yamato can no longer use his influence upon the Kyuubi, he is not the Shodaime but rather a genetic *watered-down* true genetic clone. Only other option is for Itachi's gift to kick in, which may possibly be a two-part gift:
1-Control of the Nine-Tailed Fox's Chakra (This is now the only way for Naruto to control the Fox's Chakra, otherwise, he is no longer Naruto, but an unconcious vessel being used by the Fox itself.)
2-A Dying Message for Sasuke (this is certain, otherwise Naruto may not be able to retrieve him without de-corrupting him)

well u can't completely say that Itachi is the strongest fighter in shinobi world; that Susano doesn't mean anything, it will reveal its true power of Susano when Sasuke uses it against either Naruto or Madara by then you will see Itachi isn't that great that you can think of. People keep saying that Uchiha is the best clan and no one can stand 1on1 with the Uchiha...it speculates me a little bit because First hokage fought Madara(Sharingan) and he won the battle. this tell us that Sharingan is not the best. Mountain beyond Mountain, therefore you cannot say that Madara or Sasuke or Itachi is the strongest fighter. Remember that Jiraiya says Rinngan is the one of the best eyes, what happen now? Nagato is dying....
susanoo rinengain sharingan 9 tailed demon fox. they are all just TOOLS they are weapons but they are not what win battles shinobi win battles a pro with a rock can beat a novice with a kuni... i live by that in real life i truely believe skill beats out all else... truely deplorable....
You can't say Sasuke is stronger than Itachi, technically Sasuke didn't kill Itachi. If I am correct zetsu or madara said that Itachi was dying from a disease, he could have killed Sasuke but he didn't want to.
you were right that Itachi was stronger than Sasuke at the battle. however, Now Sasuke is much stronger than Itachi because with the gifts he has from his brother and his own techinques, not only that madara said that Sasuke has more potential than Itachi. If Sasuke has more potential than Itachi then he should be stronger than Itachi when he faces the final battle either Madara, Naruto or Naruto/sasuke vs madara.
I believe Madara just said that to convince Sasuke to join him, because Itachi was destroyed his entire clan at that young of an age, and Sasuke still couldn't beat him after all the training from Orochimaru. Also Sasuke hasn't really gotten stronger since the Itachi fight, besides being able to use ms techniques, which I bet still couldn't kill Itachi because he has had the ms much longer, more experience.
I am not trying to put you down here, but i dont really believe in "MORE EXPERIENCE" in Naruto world. As long as you are strong, you're rock! Look at Naruto, he does not have a lot of experiences than J-man but he knocked down 5 peins, However, J-man got only 4 peins. During his fight, I believe that naruto has not llearned much about the CODE or advice from the others. He fought Pein's with his own experiences.

How come Sasuke is the only one who is able to shut off his Sharingan? Itachi was able to shut off his before he betrayed his clan but after he killed his clan I don't remember seeing him with his normal eyes. Maybe this has been discussed before???
I have to disagree. It takes skills more than just brute power to win. Take Kakashi for example. He could have kill God realm if robot Pain didn't shield him. And Naruto is different when it comes to experience. He is able to multiply his experience thru shadow clones. Naruto could use a thousand clones to train for a day while it takes a person years to do the same.
I believe that both of them can shut off their sharingan. Remember when Itachi fights with the policemen, sasuke calls Itachi and he stops it.
another: I believe that Itachi was not able to extinguish the black flame during the fight with Sasuke... but Sasuke was able to extinguish it when he saved karen.
to train it takes time...but to fight i dont know about that; maybe you can prove to me when Naruto killed 5 pains....where did he learn that??? He returned to his village and he jumped into action right of the ground... he did not have time to have a little conversion or seek for advice but told Tsnuade "go and drink some tea"...I have to disagree. Pa toad taught him frog Katan(misspelled?) while he used shadow clones training the whole time in sage mode. Like Itachi said before, a person with a sword without skills is the same as using the sword like a club.

There are 2 ways the manga can go -
(1) Pain will captured Naruto
(2) Naruto will defeat Pain. But after this who will stop the 6-Tails Kyuubi?
(a) Konoha, Yamato
(b) Naruto himself
(c) With a Sharingan, most probably MADARA
I am hoping for (2-c) as to where the manga will go.
