Well to be honest, what did naruto learn in the 2 1/2 year timeskip?
That one new rasengan, i believe its called oodama rasengan, and he has only used it once -_-
Besides that i haven't really seen anything different, besides when he learned the rasenshuriken and that was after the time skip.

He was able to get the upper hand on Kakashi, to get the bell.
3 tails when using the 9 tails Chakar...
And the jutsu J-man said not to use...
His timeing with his Shadow clones.

He's probably learned other new things like maturity (granted that comes few and far between with Naruto but he has gotten more mature)
And His ability to strategise better in battle.
It's like J-man once said Strength is not measured by the ones Jutsu.

Maybe...people have speculated that since Kiba was introduced into the Manga.
It's possible but kishi hasn't even said what the use of the whisker marks are; Gaara black raccoon eyes were the cause of his lack of sleep b/c of Shakaku.
