Naruto hasn't got the speed in SM to counter Amaterasu nor the Susanoo Arrows and FRS doesn't take care of his Susanoo and it's easy to dodge. imo

Kabuto in DSM easily dodged Sasuke's arrow's, don't underestimate Sage modes reflexes and perception abilities.

Amaterasu is countered by Shadow clones.

Amaterasu can be countered by any decent sensors. Naruto in SM is one of the best sensors, that isn't a problem for him.

Tsukuyomi: Ma & Pa toads counter it, Sasuke's Tsukuyomi is garbage anyways.

Susanoo: Not a problem, one FRS takes care of it. Frog Song followed by FRS, and Sasuke's done.

You forget that Naruto was trying to not let the Kyuubi get out of control anymore ever since he b*tch slapped Sakura before meeting up with Sasuke. That's why Naruto had to train with Yamato around. That's why Naruto was willing to learn SM. Naruto wasn't gonna get hectic like that without his anger making it happen and what was Naruto going to do different that was gonna beat Pain anyway if he had killing intent from the start? Like I said, the moment Naruto was pinned on the ground, Pain could have killed him. No ifs, ands or buts about it, I'm not about to waste anymore time trying to convince the ignorant.

That's true, but Sasuke was able to do the same with the fourth Raikage, so you can compare Narutos speed in SM to Sasukes. DSM is on another level imo.

You mean the Genjutsu that took Jiraiya almost a whole chapter to finish? Amaterasu or Enton would take care of either of them before that happened, and without both toads, Genjutsu is useless.

I'd say Sasuke was a few shades stronger. He did beat him at the valley of the end.

It's all part of the underdog feel with Naruto. Even if he's a beast now, Kishi tried to keep Sasuke a little ahead for the final fight. But Naruto's achievements in general are just better than Sausage's. I agree on that.

Like you said, Sasuke always seemed to be steps ahead Naruto but that wasn't always the case...
Naruto was always right behind Sasuke in part-1 and usually caught up with him but now Naruto is clearly ahead of Sasuke and I don't see Sasuke catching up to him in near future...

Honestly, I think the only reasons Sasuke beat Naruto at the Valley of the end was because the latter had been spending enormous amounts of chakra fighting to get where Sasuke was heading! Remember that he fought the Sound 4 (sort of) and Kimimaro... Being the last one a formidable opponent...

But, it's like you said, Naruto's feats were always greater, bigger and cooler than Sasuke's! Both in part one as in part two!

However, let's only mention part one...

True, Sasuke couldn't beat some opponents whilst Naruto did defeat them... Like Haku (and don't say it was only because of Kurama, Kurama is a part of Naruto, therefore, they are ONE); he stood against Orochimaru while Sasuke was frightened as hell; Naruto actually managed to defeat Neji - this feat alone uppercuts some of Sasuke's; he defeated Gaara in Shukaku mode, on the other hand, Sasuke couldn't even beat normal mode Gaara...

Why Naruto (SM) > Sasuke (MS) :

Sasuke will engage Naruto in taijutsu first. Like always, he will get raped by Frog Katas. Frog Kata is far stronger than any normal tai jutsu, it wraps around the users body (like a chakra cloak, except natural energy), it gives the user increased strength in tai jutsu and a larger reach

Naruto has the speed to dodge Susanoo arrows and if people believes Sasuke can outlast Naruto.... There is a big diference between their stamina and chakra pool. Naruto can fight all day

Amaterasu is the only deal here, and Naruto has shown to be very tricky with Kage bunshins.

Naruto has better allies, he can summon Gamabunta, Gamaken, Gamahiro, Ma and Pa toads, these summons are far better than Sasuke's and Danzou's (They are actually smart, and very powerful)

Sasuke isn't getting out of their sound genjutsu, fuuton rasen shuriken destroys Susanoo

Naruto makes FRS faster than Susanoo arrow, plus his SM sensing, reflexes and speed, he can easily dodge it

SM Naruto is also extremely durable. He Shattered Pain's chakra disruption blades, falling on a bed of spikes without injury, his arm not being messed up during his Rasenshuriken perfection training?

Naruto's defeat of Pain and Kyubi puts him above MS Sasuke.

As for Amaterasu, Naruto will see Sasuke's eye bleeding and will prep a shadow clone to take the hit. Naruto is very tricky with KB's. Naruto will sense the chakra build up from a mile away.
