Minato vs 7th Gate Gai

I'm pretty sure that Ay self-proclaimed that he was the fastest, and we never witnissed Gai use any speed or even move when in the 7th gate prior to his fight vs Juubidara. Its clear that his striking speed in 7g is faster than Minato's, I don't see how that can be overlooked.

For all we know, Gai only gained the ability to go 7g in part 2. Tobirama was proclaimed the fastest by Madara so he should be faster than Minato right?

Dodging an attack does not make a character just as fast or faster than their opponent. There are other things taken into account when dodging ones attacks.

With no arms, Minato was unstable and couldn't perform correctly.

So I would have to say that Minato, even in base with no arms, still has slightly better reflexes than Gai. Plus FTG > any physical movement. Proved it with Ay and here with 8th gate Gai.

Wow Lol. So Karin word(movement) can also be referred to speed because it's clear there but the same can't be said fpr Gai despite the same word being used? That was the first time Kishi was displaying Gai's speed as well.

Lmao, Gai was not going at full speed in his Fifth Step against Madara. Christ, I thought that was obvious. 8G Gai stomps Minato, and 7G Gai's striking speed is at least equal to Rikudou Madara which is why 7G Gai beats base Minato.
