There is a reason people don't accept the anime material into discussions.

BUT the problem with this is, what "makes sense" is relative. It can be tweaked by anyone to what they want it to mean. That's why people strictly reject any non-manga material. Because if you don't draw the line somewhere then people are going to use nothing but assumptions.

What's "logical" can range anywhere from being absolutely sound in a reasonable person's argument, to being completely idiotic and absurd in a moron's argument. See what I mean? We need to draw the line somewhere.





Well, Kakashi said that high level Jounins are able to use 2 or 3 elements. Even if we were to assume Kakashi could use low D rank techniques for Fire it would still mean he has that element, which is where the problem comes in.

Bare and simple, we haven't seen any hint that Kakashi can use Fire or Wind in the manga, so in that case we'd be giving him an entire skillset based on no evidence.

If we allowed anime material to influence our manga-related discussions then it only opens the door for people to barge in guns blazing full of assumptions of what they think "logical" means

Bottom line: Accepting anime material into genuine discussions and debates does more bad than good.

I agree with most of the things you say. I'm not so ready to include fillers, but if it follows the same rules as the manga I think its fair game. Kishi wrote it and let it be put out there, so it's law.

I like to count the anime, the only reason I think I don't count the movies and fillers are that the anime acts like none of that stuff happened. I wish it did though.

Well I count everything in the storyline in the manga even if it's extra from the manga. But as far as the fillers and movies go...I mean remember in the bonds movie when Naruto and Sasuke worked together and Sasuke took the scroll back to Oro to perfect an immortality jutsu? Well we never saw the results of that in the anime and it was never mentioned like it never happened. Does that mean it never happened? Idk...I'm more accepting of fillers, but the movies seem to always come out of left field you know what I mean?

In your eyes the manga only members are snobs who use manga canon because it suits them. You say now it was your opinion, but your OP suggests you were using facts on how snobbish manga users are.

Only canon counts, thats just the way it is. Discussing about fillers is just like discussing about fanfics or fanarts.

Kishi has nothing to do with Pierrot studio, so in reality its just the way I said it is. Only manga counts and can be taken as proof.

Reason why we can't account for Kakashi knowing fire is because Kishimoto himself didn't implement that. The anime writers did. We go by what kishimoto draws and says not what is in the Anime...

What happens in the anime that doesn't happen in the manga is non canon. Just because you don't like it isn't going to change that fact so it's best to just get over it.

The anime implies Hinata has naturally great chakra control in the manga and they (anime) just show it off better. So question: where in the manga was it stated/shown that Hinata had excellent chakra control?

Also, Hinata was never said to be a good medic or did anything to even suggest it. She never trained for it.

Becuase mangakas very rarely have anything to do with anime studios, beside that they get paid from using their characters. Tite Kubo is one few exeptions he sometimes helps to create some character or line, but thats that. Kishi in one of his interviews himself said that he watches anime of his manga very rarely. I mentioned Claymore becuase in that case anime differs greatly from manga, in the end plot went in completely different way.

Yeah and how many jutsus have we seen? Like 10-20 max. We can only talk about what he has currently done. That's the logic you have to use. Kakashi has only done Water, earth, and lightning, and I'm pretty sure he would have used fire in the manga if he could...

The only issue is where you draw the line from "realistic" and "that'd never happen in the manga". It would all be based on opinion, and you would have to specify in said thread where you draw the line, and that would be pretty hard to define.

Semi-related to this thread, something I hate much more than canon-snobs is people who disregard what was said in the manga. Things like Itachi saying the best he could do vs Jiraiya is a tie is simply disregarded. And on that same topic, people say Kisame could take on Jiraiya despite the fact that Kisame stated Jiraiya is on a completely different level.

They'll use the manga when it backs up their facts, but when the manga states a fact that defeats their argument, they make up an excuse for why it was said.
