(Doton: Tetsu Keimusho no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Iron Prison Technique

Perform the technique:I swiftly and silently form the handseals Ram, Dog, Rat and then rapidly slam my hand on the ground. A large circular wall surrounds me, creating an earth colosseum. Its stature seems to drown out the setting sun but its density acts a s sense of security.

Creative uses/strengths: This jutsu can serve as a distraction and give you an advantage in terrain change and simply because you know exactly what jutsu is being used. This jutsu is quite versatile and very flashy. It can create a pretty cool atmosphere and you have the ability to scale it giving you a better view of the battlefield. This can be quite useful by setting up clones on the sides of the top wall and then using them to overpower your opponent.

Drawbacks/counters: It lacks in solid defense, the is a very obvious jutsu and it requires handseals to execute. It requires the user to place their hand on the ground and the jutsu takes a significant amount of time to form. It does no damage and doesn't hinder the opponent largely, putting them at a slight disadvantage at the most. This jutsu doesn't have to be countered and can be dealt with quite simply by creating a large water source or wide scale attack.


( Doton: Jimen Bunretsu no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Ground Splitting Technique

Perform the technique:Staring my opponent dead straight in the eyes, I rapidly form the handseals Rabbit,Boar,Rat, Horse, Tiger then in a swift manner I slam my hand on the ground. As my hand connects with the earth, The ground beneath my opponents feet rapidly shoot downwards, creating a very steep trench. As he slides down it in a rapid fashion, I lean back nonchalantly then laugh at his misfortune.

Creative uses/strengths: Its quick acting and is extremely useful for combinations. After using this you can use the trench to filter techniques into it enhancing the usefulness of the jutsu. This jutsu hinders your opponent drastically and has to be taken notice of. You can choose alternate directions in which the earth will erupt, you can also use this jutsu to by yourself time or avert his vision from something.

Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu requires multiple handseals and doesn't do actual damage to the opponent. The movement of the earth is quick but not unavoidable. The fact that you can fall when this jutsu is used on you can work to your advantage, allowing you to descend hiding from your opponent and since you fell your opponent will also lose sight of you turning a bad situation into a good one.

Description: Onoki uses his earth chakra to lift a big quantity of debris and rock from the ground nearby. After making it rotate, forming a fast spinning disk of rotating rocks and debris, he flings it at the target with enormous speed.

Its a basic projectile technique very fast to perform and simple. The user will rise a rock from the ground which from their you can use as a shield and/or attack the opponent with it as a projectile making it combo friendly. Its most noticeable abilities is it moves a long range and its fast moving as well. Other then this its quite basic and simple. The rocks spin fast and can seriously harm an opponent. Its very fast moving as well.


( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite

Description: The user manipulates their chakra creating three huge rocks infront of them. The user will then unleash the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from infront of the enemy to smash into each other causing segements to start protruding from the collision and damaging the opponent.

Another pretty simple jutsu, the user will summon 3 huge rocks that are larger the the user and send the rocks as projectiles towards the opponent. You can send the rocks however you want which makes it handy its a quick jutsu and is great to use with combos. The rocks have the force to crush the opponents bones as well as push them back. A note is though the jutsu itself is B-Rank, each rock is C-Rank power so be weary of that.

( Doton: Shonyuseki ) - Earth Release: Stalactite

Perform the technique:Focusing my chakra into the soil below me I force two pieces of rock to rise infornt of me then rapidly usher them forward towards my opponent crushing their ribcage on impact.

Creative uses/strengths: It's an attack that assaults from multiple angles and requires no handseals to perform.The rocks move quickly and this technique requires no handseals to execute. Using this technique with elemental combinations is pretty simply making this jutsu a lot more versatile. Using this techniques and throwing a kunai with a smoke or flash bomb attached against the rock embedding it will increase the potency of this jutsu

Drawbacks/counters: Multiple rocks weaken the damage that can be done by the technique. The fact that the rocks rise is extremely obvious and it not only gives your opponent time but a simple reason to counteract. In order to use the full effect of this jutsu the user will need to only make one rock move which can be neutralised simply by another straight forward projectile technique. Decent wall defenses and overpowering techniques can eliminate this jutsu quite simply.

(Doton: Arijigoku no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Antlion Technique

A very simple but very effective technique that only requires one handseal to implement. Quick acting and not only diverts your opponents attention, it is very simple for you to create simple combinations with this jutsu and can hit multiple opponents if they are in range due to the sheer scale of this jutsu which is impressive.

(Doton: Iwa Keiro) – Earth Style: Rock Trail

Simple and is solely dependant on when you use it. The fact that it requires no handseals is great and can be extremely useful in a tight situation to keep your opponent at bay. Though it is quite simple to counter, sometimes the divertion is all you need to regain your footing in a fight.

(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop

This jutsu is great not only because it slows your opponent down if it makes contact. The main reason I like it is simply because it forms out of the sky above the opponent. This makes this jutsu great for combinations and is a little tricky to avoid. In many situations with clones this jutsu can almost be lethal to opponents if you wedge them inbetween this and another jutsu simultaneously or use a multiple angle attack.

(Doton: Domu) – Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique

Now though this technique is a littly dicey because it makes you vulnerable to lightning, it isn't extremely bad because lightning has distinct characteristics that are easy to identify and anticipate. So why I put it up here is unlike (Doton no Yoroi) - Earth Release Armor which is extremely obvious and takes time, this is almost supplementary. Not only does it increase physical attacks but it requires one handseal which makes it very useful and quick acting.

(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) – Earth Release: Devouring Earth

Though it requires many handseals, most people neglect the size of this jutsu. Making earth a speciallty can eleviate that problem but all and all this jutsu is quite powerful and can kill him. The fact that the scale of the jutsu can be adjusted makes it perfect for those close moments. It has significant range and because of the way it acts it can make predicting your opponents counter a lot simpler.

Description: Like the parent technique, it creates a reinforced wall of earth to be used as a defensive mechanism. However, the technique works in a different manner. Using a pre-existing source of earth, it allows the user to create multiple walls of earth, further fortifying their defense instead of forming a single wall, by slamming his hands on the ground.

A very powerful defensive technique. The user will slam their hands on the ground and use the earth up front of them to rise not into jutsu one, but multiple walls. You are able to summon up to 6 large walls. This is a great technique to use for jutsus that are very powerful, it can slow down the pace of the jutsu allowing you time to recover or evade more properly. The walls are of large size. Its great to stop projectile based attacks as well as streaming. After you summon the walls to either stop or slow down the attack you can evade without hesitation. The walls also rise fast consecutively. Drawbacks include you will not have a any vision of the opponent when summoning the walls for they block your vision.

Descripton: The user will bite his thumb and perform the Boar ? Monkey ? Bird ? Monkey ? Ram hand seals, slamming their hand into a scroll on the ground. This technique is a combination of the Summoning Technique and an Earth Release technique. The user summons a large amount of rock from a giant canyon which, during the process of being summoned through this technique, he shapes into a design he outlined previously in a scroll. This allows the user to change the topography of the map and create any earthen feature he needs from pillars to gorges, canyons, mountains or simply plains. If the user wants to or is defeated, the alteration ends as any summon eventually does. Additionally he can use (Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control at any point to change the design and alter the summoned terrain.
Note: can only be used once per battle

A very nice jutsu indeed. You will take out a normal scroll, do some hand seals and bite your thumb. After that you will place your hands on the scroll and summon a huge chunk of rock from a canyon. While summoning the user will mold that canyon rock into anything they desire from it that is possible. This includes caves, mountain, large pillars, or even a huge rock plain. This can only be used once in battle. Their is many creative things you can do. You can summon a mountain behind the opponent restricting his range, this is great to get close to him. You can summon a rock on a water source blocking it, so a water expert will be without his greatest tool. Its performance is dangerous for its a little slow but the summon is as quick as a regular summon. Its a very efficient jutsu which you can alter the terrain in your favor and have complete control of the battle.

Description:This jutsu is used after Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune. The user will do the Boar ? Monkey hand seals, slamming his hand on the ground and focusing his earth chakra. As he does this, he can change the design of the original technique. He can do this 3 times per battle.

This goes hand in hand with the technique Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune. Basically after doing two hand seals and slamming their hands on the ground they will control the change of the terrain they did to whatever is possible. So an example could be if you summoned a mountain, using this jutsu you can change it into a cave. You can switch its position as well. The control and change happens at normal speed and is very efficient to change the terrain. This controls the area at your will making it a brilliant technique and what of the very useful techs. You can only change them up 3 times in battle.

( Doton: Taju Doryuheki ) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudwall Technique

Perform the technique:I flush chakra down my arm and slam my palm on the ground in a furious fashion. As my chakra makes contact with the earth, a large multiple layered earthen barricade forms. It towers before me concealing my vision but simultaneously protecting me from on coming projectiles.

Creative uses/strengths: It has an extensive range and can successfully negate high leveled projectile attacks. Once formed it still gives you time extra time to evade an attack, performing then slamming a arge group of flash bombs or smoke can also be helpful to conceal your presence after the blow has landed. It rises very quickly and it only requires you to slam your hand on the floor to perform it.

Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu requires contact with the earth to execute and completely hinders you direct vision of your opponent if used to defend a straight forward projectile. This jutsu creates a massive opening for your opponent to tunnel underneath and catch you off guard or attack you from the sides or above. This jutsu takes space and can be negated easily with a decent sized raiton attack.

(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune

Perform the technique:I take out a scroll and rapidly form the handseals Boar, Monkey, Bird, Monkey and Ram then rapidly slam my hand onto the scroll. With the design already on the scroll, the landscape begins to take shape t suite the design printed. Large mounds of earth rise behind me, while a canyon shaped crevice forms behind my opponent.

Creative uses/strengths: This jutsu can change the nature of the battle field to suite yourself and give your opponent a tremendous disadvantage. Having shadow clones out while performing this ca be extremely handy and can increase the effectiveness of this jutsu by making the clones attack the opponent while the terrain is changing. If you account for the alteration in terrain and opponents perspective counter you can easily make the situation very bad for them.

Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu does require a lot of handseals and is dependent on a scroll. The alteration isn't extremely rapid and the user can't do real damage with this technique. A large draw back is that it can only be used once and it also requires you to perform another technique to alter the original design of this technique.

(Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control

Perform the technique:I look at the terrain around me then form two handseals then slam my hand on the ground. Focusing on my alteration the crevice behind my opponent then rapidly shifts into a large whole and the there masses of earth behind me then gain small accessible tunnels.

Creative uses/strengths: This has fewer handseals than Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune and can only be used without the need of a scroll. It is great for well thought-out tactic and can be extremely useful for sneak attacks. Biographies that can use the FTG technique can really do some effective stuff with this jutsu. By shifting the earth they can move their seals/tagged kunai to designated areas without having to do the hard work of putting them there. This can shift the tide of the battle in their favor rapidly.

Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu can only be used a limited amount of times and requires handseals to perform. This jutsu poses no physical damage so counters aren't very necessary unless your opponent creates a hole beneath you but the shifting of the earth will indicate all those things so it is quite simple to negate.

Description: The user expels a large creature composed of stone from his mouth. The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. If used from above the target then the user can use the earth golem to drop down onto the opponent like a bomb and crush them. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.

A very powerful technique. The user will spew out doton golem straight out their mouth. This technique can be used anywhere at any time with very quick execution which makes it a very handy technique. The user will constantly send chakra towards the golem which in turn controls the golem's movement. You can virtually do anything with the Golem, you can send it towards the opponent as a distraction, or even with force as a projectile based attack. A draw back includes the golem requires a solid base for movement, also you must remain concentrated towards the golem. I think its best to have a clone control it before hand. The golem is not the fastest runner but it has serious strength it can easily break bones with a punch and lift heavy things.


(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld

Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Another one of my most favorite jutsus. The user after performing two hand seals will summon a mud swamp made of the same type of mud adhesive that is very sticky as well as non-flammable. You can summon the size of the mud however you want. The mud is mixed with your chakra so it will constantly sap away the opponents strength so staying in to long can knock you unconscious. The mud can easily take on more then one enemy as well. Its a great ground attack and simple to summon taking almost no time to appear. It has no serious attack ability but if you sink into the mud you will suffocate to death, this jutsu is very combo friendly as well. Its great for distraction play as well as anticipation. Lastly if you are caught the best jutsus include water jutsus that shoot you upward for evasion or even nagashi to negate the mud so you can walk through it.


(Doton: Dosenki) - Earth Release: Mudslide Technique

Description: After performing a sequence of three hand seals Dog → Ram → Boar the user then creates a small wall of earth to rise up from the ground infront of them and cause a mud slide to form from the wall and directs it towards the enemy target/s to try engulf them.

One of my favorite jutsus. After doing the hand seals the opponent will create a small wall, a normal sized one that is slightly larger then the user. The user will then punch the ground or manipulate the wall to release a large amount of mud to slide off of the wall straight towards the opponent. Its a great jutsu to use for defense as well as attack at the same time. Its sheer size can cause terrain damage and make the area into mud. The crash is powerful enough to push the opponent back and seriously break some bones. Its great to use to stop large summons as well. Its a simple jutsu to create but it takes some time for the mud to fall off. The wall raises normally. Lastly you must be on the ground.

(Doton: Iwa no Goremu) – Earth Release: Stone Golem

Perform the technique:Molding a large amount of chakra, I begin to spew out a mass of earth which begins to form the shape of a humanoid golem. As it exits my mouth it moves as if clinging for life, then standing in a statuesque pose in front of me he valiantly attempts to protect me from harm.

Creative uses/strengths:The golem can block your opponents view of you and can deal a solid amount of damage if he makes contact with your opponent. Using techniques like Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique can make the golem travel a lot quicker than normal and keep up with most shinobi. While using Earth Release: Super Added Weight Rock Technique will make the golem even denser/more durable and more destructive, thought it will lose speed through this. The golem is a good shield and distraction which can cover you neutralising an attack.

Drawbacks/counters:Even though the golem can be useful it can is released/formed at a slow rate. It is moderate in stature and most decently ranked shinobi will best it when it comes to hand to hand combat. When striking this it with lightning it will create debris which can be annoying for your opponent. The golem can also cover the opponents view when formed, which can allow you to gain advantage.


(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld

Perform the technique:After being launched into the air, I rapidly form the handseals Boar → Tiger turning the earth beneath my opponent into a devastatingly adhesive mud. As the mud attempts to rip my opponents life from him, the scale of the jutsu is overwhelming his mind. The vast swampy mud drags my opponent down into the depths of the earth killing him.

Creative uses/strengths:This jutsu doesn't require the user to be in contact with the ground to perform it. It requires a few amount of handseals and is extremely quick acting. This jutsu works on a large scale and can kill a person if they do not counter it correctly. It can easily distract your opponent and force him to divert his attention, this jutsu can be used to dominate multiple opponents.

Drawbacks/counters:The earth reacts moments before this jutsu actually takes effect allowing it to be anticipated. This jutsu does no actual damage and the sinking isn't fast enough to be considered instant. This just is commonly used so most people know exactly what should be used to counter it correctly. This jutsu requires handseals so it gives time to preempt the jutsu.


(Doton: Dosenki) - Earth Release: Mudslide Technique

Perform the technique:I rapidly form three handseals making a small earthen wall to form in front of me. Then in a rapid fashion, I use my chakra to usher a large amount of mud at my opponent. High in intensity and powerful in intent, the large grouping of mud crushes him below its weight.

Creative uses/strengths:It's a counter-active jutsu which means its great for in a defense situation. This jutsu is very elementally friendly for combinations. The size of the jutsu allows the user to be concealed after performing this jutsu. The mudslide moves at a alarming rate and can throw your opponent off-guard if used correctly. Combining this with fire can make things difficult for your opponent especially because of its range.

Drawbacks/counters:The jutsu requires three handseals to perform. This jutsu has an obvious tell when the wall of mud forms from the ground before the mud slide happens. This gives the opponent a lot of time to prepare for the onslaught of mud. This jutsu can be avoided by going downwards or going upwards but can also be solidified or neutralised quite easily. The mud makes a large noise and forces the ground to tremor at its movement which allows it to be figured out even more.

Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create the earth infront of them to turn to a lose like quality by slamming his hands on the ground to create a landslide that is directed towards the enemy target in the form of a wave of earth.

A basic tech but is pretty nice. The user will quickly, with no hand seals manipulate the earth upfront on them to loosen its quality almost making it more softer. With a slam of the hands on the ground they will manipulate the ground to quickly form into a wave of tough debris and mud which creates almost a landslide which is sent towards the opponent like a wave of earth. It has the destructive property to easily cut and push down trees with ease and still continue forward. Its a very fast moving technique, hard to evade. Its also location based, its best to use in a forest. Its a loud technique so not so good for snick attacks neither.


(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars

Description: This jutsu causes gigantic pillars of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground. This is a even greater scaled Earth Release: Rising Spikes and is large enough to impale a summoning technique.

A simple but quite the effective jutsu indeed. The user will summon a gigantic pillar of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground around any location the user desires. Its quite the large jutsu and difficult to evade when it begins to emerge. It makes a loud noise as well as the ground will become dense signalling it rising so that can be a window of evasion. Its great to use for combos to attack in all flanks of the opponent. If the opponent is caught the will be hurt as well as launched in the air with force, mid-air they are left vulnerable and open for attacks. Its a great jutsu to use against summons and is tall enough to attack an opponent air-borne. The pillar when it begins to rises is very fast as well as while it rises you can go onto the next tech. Simple evasions as well as cracking the large pillar using lightning would be best.


(Doton: Chidokaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core

Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

Okay this is a handy jutsu indeed. The user will have complete control of the ground and will be able to raise or lower the ground by 20 meters. With it you can create walls to block attacks or evade them. You can capture enemies by lowering the ground. Also a note is in the manga when used against Madara he actually stumbled due to the sudden rise of the ground, so you can easily catch an opponent off and have a clone or ally send an attack making life difficult for the opponent. You can alter the terrain as well with it. It has no serious offensive abilities but its main purpose is the supplement yourself in battle. Also for every time you move the ground it counts as a turn so be weary. Also by the time the ground fully erects it will take several seconds. (3-5s) depending just how high you set it. 20 meters is the limit but you have control just how long you want to raise it.

(Doton: Dochubaku) - Earth Release: Landslide Technique

Perform the technique:Without forming a single handseal, I rapidly slam both of my palms down onto the earth charging my chakra downwards. The earth on the large tree infested hillside begins to soften drastically then rapidly accelerate downwards taking up trees and rocks in its path. The powerful moving earth slams into my opponent crushing with the sheer force of the technique.

Creative uses/Strengths: It can be used in different terrains and shift the battlefield into a shape favouring yourself. It is quick acting and requires no handseals to form. Using this in conjunction with a fire technique can be quite useful, this technique can also be used to negate jutsu that create large holes in the earth. It is a great distraction and if you are hidden from your opponent forming this in a position that is adjacent from him will help conceal your location if they aren't a sensory.

Drawbacks/Counters: Its loud and the shift in earth manipulation is quite easy to notice. Though it is fast it requires contact with the ground. The just creates a large sound allowing you to detect it quite easily, this jutsu can be neutralised quite simply the large scale fire and wind techniques. Though lightning is really really effective it lacks the wider dimensions that is needed to neutralise this this jutsu.

(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars

Perform the technique:Using my chakra to rapidly interact with the earth compressing the granules, I rapidly form three gigantic spikes of rock that erupt out of the ground at an alarming rate. The colossal rock pillars penetrate a near by tree skewering it to pieces.

Creative uses/Strengths:The sheer size means you can damage large summons,structures or trap them within a pillar formation. This jutsu can be used nicely to restict a summons movements and the opponents simultaneously. The pillars can block you from your opponents line of sight. It is difficult to defend whilst in mid-air simply because most of its tells are completely hidden, until it emerges.


Drawbacks/Counters:Simply because of the scale of the earth pillars, the movement they make when they erupt out of the ground will be very noticeable. The fact that the earth condenses before being released is a very obvious sign. It is quite simple to see coming if you are quite high, if one notices the up and coming pillars they can be neutralised in a similar fashion as most earthen projectile techniques. Destroying thes pillars will result in debris most of the time which you can use to conceal your movements.


(Doton: Chidokaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core

Perform the technique:In a furious fashion, I slam both palms on the ground creating a large earthen trench that is completely square and rapidly drops to 20 meters. As the earth rumbles and shakes at the shift in it's structure, when completed I walk up to the edge and stare at the pit I have now formed.


Creative uses/Strengths:Though it lacks offensive power it is very versatile, this technique can be used in multiple combinations. Dropping the earth can result in more of the obvious ones like, filling it with high ranking water, fire or more earth when the opponent is stuck below by dropping it below him. The higher ground movement requires a bit more thought but a simple counter is using it as a shield or simply using it to get space from your opponent.


Drawbacks/Counters:Unfortunately this jutsu doesn't do damage and is supplementary so there is generally no need to practically counter it but give yourself an advantage of the oncoming move. Countering this requires more assessment than anything else depending on your circumstances. But when used as a shield, remember your opponent will generally have limited vision from forming it in front of him so that can be helpful. When trapped you can use earth descending techs not only to hide but shift the advantage your opponent gained from forming the pit. If you are fighting on a flat surface he shouldn't be able to see you disappear into the earth from that angle. ( So use that.) Smoke bombs can also increase the effectiveness of concealing yourself from him.

Description: The user will perform the Snake handseal and touch a given target (he needs to use his hands in most cases but can release the technique through his whole body if needed) for a small time frame. Upon doing so, he'll use the earth chakra to increase the weight of the target drastically. The technique can increase the targets weight up to 10 times. One interesting side effect of the technique is that when its used on wood based techniques (such as Zetsu's spore clones or normal wood), the infusion of large amounts of earth chakra into it will actually petrify the target in addition to increasing its weight. A similar effect can be achieved in other earthen materials such as mud. The user can also add weight to a given attack (if feasible) to increase both momentum and impact force, effectively adding damage to it.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

One of the very unique and famous jutsus. The user will perform one hand seal and staying in contact with the object he will insert his doton chakra into the object and manipulate it in a way that the very same object will increase in mass. This will increase the weight of the object up to ten times more then the usual weight. This can easily restrict that very object or persons movement dramatically. Moving will be almost impossible. Also a very important note is They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. In all other cases, only weight is added. So energy based attacks will not added in weight. Also this can easily be used on oneself or object to increase its power and impact. So its awesome for close range but you will sacrifice your speed because of it. Unless releasing the jutsu itself then the weight will remain on the object and/or person for two turns. Its a good jutsu but has many drawbacks as well be sure to use wisely.


(Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique

Description: Contrary to its counterpart (the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique), instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter, though still using the same principle and mechanics. The user will make direct contact with the given target (through his hands), infusing them with earth chakra and lowering their weight drastically. The technique can lower a targets weight up to 10 times less than it originally had. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows. The same principle applies if used on a physical attack wich will be faster but will carry less momentum and as such, less physical damage. It doesn't change the "strength" of binding techniques (like Sand Release), where the user is manipulating a dynamic element but will decrease the impact damage of techniques that rely on it.
Note: The initial effects last for 2 turns or until countered.

The polar opposite of the previous jutsu. Instead of gaining mass this jutsu acts to lower the mass of the object or person up to ten times lighter then the usual weight. This jutsu when used in battle either lowering your own mass or a mass of an object exchanges the impact power for blazing speed. Its a great tool to use for fast attacks and pressuring the opponent. You can also increase your own speed to evade certain attacks with ease. Also a very important note is They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. Its another risky jutsu, you might have speed but due to so little mass you will have less of an impact in certain jutsus as well as most taijutsus. Be very weary of that.

Description: The user will knead their earth chakra into their stomach and then release from their mouth earthly material that then forms into a large slab of rock, that can travel with incredible force. On impact with the ground the slab forces the earth to splinter and jab anyone caught in the vicinity.

One of the more basic jutsus of the A-Ranks. No hand seals and very easy to perform. The user will spew out earth material and set on the ground. The material will turn into a slab of rock and then the user will manipulate it to travel with force towards the opponent. This is a hefty jutsu able to crush and push the opponent back breaking bones and seriously handicapping the opponent. Its main advantage is its raw power. It can also act as a defense blocking attacks and then continue for an attack. It can knock out anything its path and when sent with force acts as a projectile technique. Its straightforward technique and the shape manipulation will take some time.

(Doton: Kajugan no Jutsu): Earth Style: Added Weight Rock Technique

Perform the technique:I rapidly form a cross with my fingers creating a shadow clone, as the clone forms it withdraws my sword then starts spinning with the sword in a discus fashion. As the clone rotates I activate my sharingan to easily read his movements then I form a handseal then touch him on the shoulder not interfering with the his rhythm. The clone rapidly increase it's mass as it rotates, the increase of weight also increases his momentum. As this happens he releases the sword with a larger amount of force than it originally had before he had been touched.
Creative uses/strengths:Extremely versatile and can increase the amount of force when you use it on a projectile. This techniques is very useful when used on a large descending technique, not only is it already heavy and falling at a rapid rate, the increase of weight will push it past that point increasing its impact and speed. It can also increase you own weight and destructive power if used correctly but the decrease of speed makes you extremely vulnerable.
Drawbacks/counters:This jutsu requires the user to have physical contact with the object in order for this jutsu to take effect. It requires a single handseal which allows the opponent to interpret or prepare for some kind of attack. This jutsu only last for two turns and if the opponent knows Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique he can easily neutralise it's effect. Adding weight to an object may decrease it's speed but will increase the amount of impact it will and can do. This can then result in various double edged situations.


(Doton: Keijugan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Light Weight Rock Technique

Perform the technique: As my clone and I begin to accelerate on the open field, I form a single handseal and touch him on the shoulder. As my chakra makes contact with him, I notice how his acceleration rate increases at a faster rate than mine. This ensues showing me the results of how much weight is a relavant factor in acceleration.
Creative uses/strengths: This can help if you have a minato bio using it on one of his FTG kunai's will allow you to throw it a distance further and quicker than before. Which can lead to a various amount of combinations. Now this jutsu is great on clones or weapons that can help you get the edge on a user of equal rank. Though you loose damage it doesn't require much strength to split flesh, so if you use this correctly it can give you the edge to win in close range. This jutsu requires few handseals and using it on your opponent can be great though very bad at the same time.
Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu similar to its counterpart still requires physical contact, which means that all the flaws the require physical contact apply depending on where you use it. The decrease in strength will completely be evident in the RP, simply because your opponent can see what you just performed and will figure a way to prove you perfomed it depending on your actions. That is a simple way of noticing it, once noticed this jutsu an be countered or exploited quite easily since the effect lasts more than one turn.

( Doton: Iwarin Heiban ) - Earth Release: Rock Scale Slab

Perform the technique: I take a deep breath in then spew a large amount of earth, the released earth rises and forms a large earthen structure. With chakra manipulation I rapidly force the earthen structure forwards, it reacts moving at an alarming rate ramming the ground and anything else in its path.
Creative uses/strengths: The force and scale of the earthen structure becomes quite a formidable foe against an opponent. It requires no handseals and its projectile ability makes it very useful against other projectile techniques. Not only can it tech conceal you but it can also block your opponents vision making him forced to deal with it because of its sheer size making it difficult to avoid.
Drawbacks/counters: Unfortunately this jutsu takes time to form and can be seen very easily. The large slab will vibrate against the floor due to its sheer weight which will result in a rumbling effect. Now this is very easy to detect even to non-sensory types. As it gains ground it becomes more obvious, it also conceals your vision of your opponent depending on which angle you release it and the landscape. Even though water is not extremely effective against earth, a large amount of water will make it simple to predict the projectiles and neutralise the rock. Creating a large hole will neutralise the rock completely.

Description: This technique grants the user the ability to freely lower or raise the terrain within a specific area surrounding them, in a similar manner to its parent technique, albeit on a much larger scale. The user will slam his hands on the ground which he can then lower or raise the ground up to 100 meters in a large section. The rise will be fast enough to pin enemies to the ground, restricting their movements as they struggle to get up and the drop will be fast enough to leave almost all enemies without a footing (albeit not airborne). Because of the large chakra needed to alter such a large area of the terrain, the user will be able to use it only a limited number of times.
Note: Can only be used twice.

This is the stronger version of the previous A-Rank counter part. The user will have complete control of the ground and will be able to raise or lower the ground by 100 meters. With it you can create walls to block attacks or evade them. You can capture enemies by lowering the ground and sending a large scale attack. Also a note is that anyone in the ground that is under control they will obviously lose their balance due to the sudden rise of the ground, so you can easily catch an opponent off and have a clone or ally send an attack making life difficult for the opponent. You can alter the terrain as well with it. It has no serious offensive abilities but its main purpose is the supplement yourself in battle. Also for every time you move the ground it counts as a turn so be weary. Also by the time the ground fully erects it will take several seconds. (8-10s) depending just how high you set it. 100 meters is the limit but you have control just how long you want to raise it.


(Doton: Dosenkiryu) – Earth Release: Earth and Stone Dragon Technique

Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Horse → Dog → Bird → Ox → Snake will create a large dragon of earth erupt from the ground and direct it towards the enemy with devastating force. This technique much resembles the Water Release: Water Dragon technique.

Another very handy and a personal favorite. After doing the required hand seals the user will summon a large dragon made of complete stone and earth. The summoning of the dragon is very fast and what makes this jutsu so handy is basically the brute force the dragon contains and its sheer size. The dragon is summoned close range but it has a long range reach. You can ride the dragon and what makes it awesome is how you can really catch and save yourself from tough situations with the dragon, if you are in a tight situation you can summon the dragon and rise below you and use the momentum to launch yourself in the sky to evade certain attacks. It can also act as a barrier around you to protect from certain attacks. A normal problem is you must keep control of the dragon whenever you are using it. Ways to stop the dragon is using large scale attacks to make it remain its distance from you or attack the bottom of the dragon using a swamp to restrict its movement.


(Doton: Chokeijugan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique

The stronger version of the previous A-Rank jutsu. The polar opposite of the previous jutsu. This jutsu when used in battle either lowering your own mass or a mass of an object exchanges the impact power for blazing speed. Its a great tool to use for fast attacks and pressuring the opponent. You can also increase your own speed to evade certain attacks with ease. Also a very important note is They cannot petrify water or anything other than earthen materials such as mud and Wood techniques. Perform the technique: In a powerful manner I force a large amount of chakra down my arms and slam my palms on the ground. As they make contact, the earth rapidly roars upwards forcing a large cube of earth to ascend forming a massive platform.
Creative uses/strengths: This jutsu is very versitile and one of the best points of it, is that even though it creates a large shift on the earth. The tremor of the shift is so powerful that it can make opponents fall. You can use this to shield yourself from attacks and conseal yourself simultaneously. You can use this to create a large divide between you and your opponent by making a large trench. The speed of the shift in terrain is drastic which can make it quite difficult to counter. You can use this to give yourself leverage or avert a jutsu by performing this underneath yourself.
Drawbacks/counters: Well, as we know this is entirely dependant on the type of manipulation that is used. If a large hole is made underneath you simply filling it with water or going upwards while the ground goes down could work. Now naturally if the user make it rise underneath you, I would recommend playing to the advantage of hight in this case. Since this jutsu does no physical damage you can simply play it by ear, "so to speak" Mostly countering this jutsu depends on the situation since it is quite versatile.


(Doton: Dosenkiryu) – Earth Release: Earth and Stone Dragon Technique

Perform the technique: Taking a deep breath in I form the handseals Horse → Dog → Bird → Ox → Snake spurring a large earthen dragon to take form. It's collosal size is formed underneath me allowing me to ascend then crash into my opponent at will.
Creative uses/strengths: Quite a counteractive jutsu, since not only can you avoid attack by forming this underneath you but you can also launch at your opponent simultaneously. The dragon is very dense and deals a large amount of impact damage when making contact with an opponent. It's size and mass makes it almost a certain kill.You can shift your perspective or distract you opponent very easily with this jutsu. If used correctly it can take out multiple opponents.
Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu moves relatively slow initially, it requires multiple handseals to perform and is extremely obvious. This jutsu though it has power requires your concentration to perform the technique now this alone is extremely deadly in a fight because if you perform this in the wrong area it can shift you from an advantageous position to a very disadvantaged one.

(Doton: Chokeijugan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique

Perform the technique: I focus my chakra then place my hands on my arrow thus making it even lighter than it originally was. I then pull back on the string releasing the arrow at a blinding rate and watch as it make furious contact with a nearby tree.
Creative uses/strengths: The physical touch needed in this jutsu can still be concealed and this jutsu requires no handseals to perform. You can drasically shift the weight of the object/target which can make it extremely simple to avoid certain jutsu. This jutsu can effect any object no matter it's size and can even lighten every granule of sand in a sand gourd.
Drawbacks/counters: Still jutsu like the weaker form its weaknesses are still very similar, one of the main ones the even more dramatically increased physical loss for the speed gain. The physical contact thing is still very much a large set back and can gives the activating of the jutsu away. This jutsu can't be passively deactivated and requires ou to counter it yourself if you want to shift your weight back before the expire time.

Description: With the technique, the user can bring up something from deep within the ground by slamming his hands on the ground and manipulating it to forcefully make whatever is contained in it to be expelled upwards. The result of this technique has the appearance of an erupting volcano and can vary in size depending on the users needs.

Jutsu is different then most earth jutsus. The user by slamming their hands on the ground will manipulate it in a way where they rise a large volcano. The volcano will thrust up anything that is under ground. This is great to know if you figure an opponent is underground this is a great jutsu to use which propel them airborne and you can attack. This includes also certain summonings and whatever type of objects. Its a handy jutsu at time, though is under used. Note you can not use this jutsu close range from yourself due to the size of the volcano.


(Doton: Yama Eikyo) - Earth Release: Mountain Smash

Description: The user will do 3 handseals (Tiger → Ram → Rat) and slam his hands on the ground which creates two enormous rock formations that close in on the opponent from two opposing sides with tremendous force, smashing everything caught in between. Both of these formations are capable of dwarfing even the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path in size. This is one the most strongest Earth based techniques, standing as a testament to both this ability's destructive potential and its difficulty. However, because of its size and power, it can only be used a limited amount of times, requires much chakra and can only be used at least mid range from the user.
Note: Can only be used twice

This is earth releases most powerful attack from the whole canon list. The user after performing 3 hand seals, the user will summon an extremely large rock formation on each flanks of the opponent. Right when they fully rise they act to come together with brute force crushing everything that is caught between it. The size is so large it makes the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path look small. Due to its large status your only able to us it twice per battle. This is great to use as a finisher from combos as well as distract the opponent, scaring them with its size. Though you must remain concentrated during the time to make them come together, if you don't the rock formations will just stay in place. During the time they rise from the ground, the ground will shake heavily making movement tough on the opponent as well. Despite the fact of all it gives their are many drawbacks. One being is this is a loud and large jutsu. Making it easy to anticipate it and what to do. Also you can only do this jutsu mid-long range restricting its mobility. Ways to counter this is stopping the opponents concentration towards it, sending a wide ranged attack. Using a high ranked and long range lightning jutsu to negate the chakra in the doton. Just some ideas. Its a great jutsu if used correctly.

Perform the technique: Flushing my chakra through my hand and touch a large rock infusing it with my chakra. As my chakra embeds itself into the rock, I watch the sink a lot deeper into the earth. It pushes the soft soil aside until the point where the rock is now
Creative uses/strengths: Going to the obvious point that this jutsu completely increases the amount of physical damage without the need of handseals. One of the best uses for this jutsu it that you can completely immobilise your opponent. With this technique you can easily drown your opponent by touching him when he is on a water source. You can use this to reinforce walls and weapons or touch your opponents sword so he cannot lift it.
Drawbacks/counters: It requires hand contact for it to take effect, you need to be extremely careful on what you use this on as the decrease in speed can come back to get you. When using it on yourself, it makes you extremely susceptible to quick attacks. This technique doesn't make you more durable in anyway.


(Doton: Kaido Shokutsu) - Earth Style: Opening Earth Rising Excavation

Perform the technique: In a swift fashion a slam both hands on the ground using my chakra to deeply manipulate the earth. A large rumble occurs shifting the ground creating a large volcano shaped earth structure to form. It is deeply hollow and can the sound of the wind reverberating against the newly formed cavern.
Creative uses/strengths: A very useful jutsu for getting summons or opponents out of the ground. This technique only requires contact with the ground and no handseals. You can use this technique to alter the course of large water techniques by using it as a shield. This jutsu can work well if your opponent tries to manipulate the battlefield. A very unique technique is performing this jutsu underneath you creating a cavern in which you can hide away from your opponent from.
Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu has no offensive capabilities but is decent at neutralising attacks. Depending on where you create it can limit your field of vision. This can be a large obstacle and your opponent on a regular basis has no need to counter this jutsu since it doesn't harm him. This also gives over your advantage in the battle to favour him.

Question: When this jutsu erupts does it have pressure behind it, so what you are trying to bring up actually comes up? (If that makes sense?)


(Doton: Yama Eikyo) - Earth Release: Mountain Smash

Perform the technique: I form three handseals then slam my hands on the ground releasing a large amount of chakra. The earth violently shakes and in a rapid manner extremely large half spheres erupt from it. They erupt from each side of the opponent then rapidly slam meeting each other in the center forming a giant sphere.
Creative uses/strengths: This jutsu is quite difficult to avoid and can easily kill an opponent. This jutsu works very well if you have a sensory bio because when/if he counters it you can tell precisely where he went. This jutsu is great of your opponent is caught in a genjutsu that locks him in place. This is good for stopping summons or creating a blockade.
Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu consumes a large amount of chakra and can only be used for a limited amount of time. It requires three handseals and because of its gargantuan size it is extremely noticeable. The violent vibrations of the ground are a quick tell and this can be neutralised very easily if you use a technique that creates a 360 degree wave.

Basically, yes. There will be a pressure appear an act to push whatever is inside the ground upward. A good counter could be to rise your weight, making you to heavy for the pressure to force you up. Also this is great to base customs off of.

As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

A great armor jutsu. The user will be able to forcefully surge rocks from any part or their whole body and cover themselves in rock. This is great to defend specific body parts as well as be used for full body surges in genjutsu. You can use the armor to have a much longer reach with huge power behind it. A large set back is you move very slow with the jutsu restricting your movement, jumping is impossible as well. The user can extend weapons from their arms as rocks which is great to have for an extra arsenal. The user can only mold doton chakra while having the armor off.

Description: The user creates a even larger and stronger version of Earth Release: Stone Golem Technique. However, unlike the smaller version, the user creates this stone golem from the ground solely. The user will slam his hand on the ground, manipulating it and shaping it into a large warrior of stone which he can control as long as he keeps his hand in contact with it or with the ground and keeps fueling the technique with chakra. The golem can reach heights of 30 meters and is quite massive but seems to also be capable of moving quite fast as well.

The user without the needs of hand seals will summon a very large golem which can extend up to 30 meters in height. It has great brute strength as well as be quite agile despite its large stature. The Golem is manipulated through your chakra control meaning you must remain concentrated towards it no matter what if you want to use it. By doing this he must keep his hands together. The golem is summoned close range but has a long range reach. The golem is great to get you out of tough situations. It can act as a barrier and attack as well being a mobile tech.

(Doton: Koka no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hardening Technique

Perform the technique: I burst earth chakra outwards forming an earthen exoskeleton, as the slabs of earth cover me I start to feel slightly sluggish but extremely sturdy.
Creative uses/strengths: The jutsu can be used to make expandable weapons and the armour can be formed on selective parts of the body. The great part about selectively making the armour form is that it makes it simple to negate physical blows. By using this with a clone you can create quite a formidable scapegoat. Using the ability to extend weapons. The earth actually comes through the surface of your skin making it very adaptable for various situations.
Drawbacks/counters: This jutsu though it has a decent amount of defense it makes the users movements sluggish and delayed. The jutsu is extremely obvious and can put you in real danger being so susceptible to lightning jutsu. If you make the full armour your hands are then covered meaning performing handseals and wielding weapons is extremely difficult.


(Doton: Dai iwa Kyojin no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Great Stone Golem Technique

Perform the technique: I rapidly open my mouth expelling a large amount of earth, the sand in it begins to solidify and rise up forming a large golem. As it keeps growing in size a large shadow begins to cast itself across the battlefield. As it reaches the apex of its growth, I clap my hands together keeping them there and usher the leviathan forward.
Creative uses/strengths: It requires no handseals and is quite large. It deals a large amount of destructive damage and can easily shield you from oncoming attacks. Not only is it defensive but can go against large summons quite easily. Using a clone to perform this would be quite ideal so it reduces your vulnerability and allows you to protect the jutsu if need. This jutsu can crush of physically interact with techniques that would hurt you/ preventing you from having to do so. This quality can be extremely useful in many cases
Drawbacks/counters: Unfortunately this jutsu has to be created in short range of the user. It's large size also meant that it also takes a considerable amount of time to reach the height of 30 meters. The jutsu is extremely obvious and cannot be performing in a subtile matter. The golem may have speed but it lacks subtlety and can be heard and seen very simply so the opponent can handle it head on. The amount of focus required to sustain this jutsu is quite dangerous and leaves you vulnerable if you don't act with the golem correctly.
