Obito was never delusional enough to believe he could go back to Konoha and become Hokage like nothing happened. In fact he was very emotional towards the end because he knew he ****ed up and had to pay for it. I think Sasuke knows he can't have your typical happy ending as well. He's going to carry out whatever plans he has the same way as Obito & Madara tried and he'll probably die trying. I think he might want to die to be honest. Like he knows the world will be better off without the Uchiha.

Also, the only shady thing Sasuke alluded to was a desire to kill the bijuu, and most people assumed Naruto could talk him out of it. He had mostly reverted to his Part 1 personality, which is why his behavior didn't strike many as insane. Then he goes and does this crap.

Honestly? Just to kill the bijuu, while they were also relatively innocent, I can see why he would think they needed to die, the kage on the other hand? Most of them had nothing to do with the current system, and, unlike the previous five, were actually willing to work together as comrades and even friends.

The two instances you are referring to are legitimate gripes almost all of the fandom agrees with, not a twist that had hints that it was in the making for almost 60 chapters

Um, where were you? There were many hints as to Tobi's true identity (I refuse to use the hair argument) including all the times he's shown using his sharingan (it being on the right side), the fact that Kishimoto refused to show his face, even after he said he was Madara, the fact that his powers, once thought about, we're almost exactly like Kakashi's, the weird plant matter that came out when his right arm came off, his interactions with Kakashi, the fact that he never even bothered making Madara look good (when he told stories pretending to be him), the fact that he never used Madara's powers, and the fact that he managed to get back Deidara's arm even though Kakashi shot it to another dimension.

I never bought into Sasuke's change of heart. I always thought he needed to pay for his crimes whether he helped the alliance or not.

Well there are some points that still don't make sense bout to I being photo but deidara part wrong Kalashnikov got his elbow his hand fell off and kakuzu stitch it back on with the sharingan thing easily could've stole it from obi to dead corpse since somehow his eye didn't get smushed but his whole side did kisame seeing his face not telling it's not madara certain things like that make it arguable it could've been someone else
