I've always thought it was to display Sasuke's reckless and arrogant nature, I doubt kishi ever wanted any one to underestimate Sasuke. Sasuke was always the talented genuis. He was the one that was supposed to be able to handle anything.

I'd hate to bring Naruto into a thread which is not about him, but he was always the underdog, the one that, up untill Pein, couldn't be expected to own anyone. If anything we were supposed to underestimate him.

you points are correct, kishi really did a great job portraying sasuke as calm and analytic. If he would have left sasuke with the techniques he had trained with for three years, he would be really powerful. Because kishi basically took his brain away, it was easier to make the switch to naruto being the more powerful character... effectively halting sauke's forward development for a time so naruto could catch up

I graduated highs chool and as far a college, college isn't for everyone. Some people don't have mommy and daddy to mooch of off, they are forced the day they turn 18 to get a real job and provide for themselves get out of your ignorant little bubble not everyone is granted the same opportunity
