Constant intel on Pain

Hinata

Kurama taking control

Minato taking control back

Deva Starting the fight unable to use his abilities while naruto killed his partners. naruto wouldn't have killed any if deva could use his shit from the start

army of toads

naruto's only disadvantage was only being able to use FRS three times

sasuke was put into situations where he was forced to use taka

I never said sasuke was stronger in the entire op. What I said was naruto gets the easy battles with kage level help and intel. Name one fight since getting sage mode where naruto didn't have kage level help or intel. Kishi did this on purpose to try and help build naruto's image in an attempt to create more shock when he and sasuke are equals

I think kishi did it because he actually made sasuke tooo OP at the time. Really, no non-kage level ninja could take on hebi sasuke. Let's look at it. Hebi sasuke stomped yamato( Anbu jounin) along with naruto and sakura in 1 go. Hebi sasuke fought on par with itachi. Itachi is a high kage level shinobi in his own right and sasuke was able to push him to his absolute even if he had no intent to kill. Hebi sasuke also beat orochimaru(not that great) and deidara. That's 1 jounin and 3 kage level opponents in the start of shippuuden. The only one he had intel on was orochimaru as his intel on itachi was actually not 100%.

Start of shippuuden sasuke had to be nerfed to make his battles more interesting. IF he went into all his fights with intel/prior training it'd be bland and uninteresting.

Killer Bee: Sasuke was already doing well against him. Intel sasuke would have looked out for sword dance. Infact, if it were naruto, he'd have full susano'o already therefore destroying bee's entire arsenal.

Raikage: He'd have started off with at least V2 susano'o(portrayed later) to nullify raikage's entire arsenal.

Mei/oonoki: He could have simply avoided that, but kishi wanted suspense and action even if we all knew sasuke's chakra was in the grave at this point.

Danzo: He'd have been killed before he removed that crap from his arm and activated izanagi. Sasuke would have simply used a chidori lance through his heart and ended that fight.

tl;dr; Sasuke had to be nerfed to draw suspense since Start of shippuden hebi sasuke was already closing in on kage levels while naruto was still stuck at low jounin at best...
