I never claimed the loop would be the same, It's an inescapable prison made to counter everything you do inside the loop until you realizes your wrongdoings. Izanagi users likely needed to be actually hit to escape it, but none of this changes the criteria Itachi set for the jutsu.
The criteria IS different... the uchihas had to realize they can't run from their mistakes..

while kabuto has to realize he can't become someone else, and he isn't all powerful...

it's extremely hard to change your mentality when you know what you are doing is correct when in reality is not. You become stubborn and your biggest enemy becomes yourself. For example, people in here have their own theories and understanding of the manga and will not accept any other theories that disproves their theory.

This is the power of izanami. I honestly think it's a strong power. Stronger than izanagi. This jutsu is extremely useful and with this said.

If you get your opponent under this endless loop of genjutsu, the caster has all the time of the world to do anything to his opponent while his opponent tries to get out of the loop. Even if the opponent does get out of the loop, it would be too late because by the time he wakes up, he/she will either be dead or trapped.

By the way, everyone has conflicting thoughts and itachi knows how to read people. For example, when itachi used a genjutsu on naruto, kakashi, sakura, sasuke, gaara appeared to blame him which was destroying naruto's mentality.

I disagree with you

I was right; it’s extremely situational and can basically only be used on misguided people, who are going through an identity crisis. Read:

“…And can’t really be used during a fight”

Kabuto is literally one of the only ones it would have worked on, Itachi recognized this because he saw himself in good old Kabuto, and since he was already dead, it didn’t really matter whether he lost an eye or not. He also had Sasuke as backup.

Anyway, I shouldn’t have to say that this is absolute useless against people like Minato and Jiraiya. This is also forgetting about the hitting the opponent
twice, chakra requirements, and the loss of some of the strongest MS
techniques.

btw, my thread got deleted instead of moved to this section, as I intended, so I posted it here .

Edit:

I know some people can't read Mangareader so here you can see the
Narutobase version:

So, basically you think that what we're saying is nonsense because kishi MIGHT show a future chapter that proves your personal speculations to be true and our listing of current manga facts to be false? Nice.

Facts are what they are, until proven otherwise and reading them 3 times or 300 times won't change that.
No, no, no. What i said wasnt just based on future events but also how i believe the technique works. Wouldnt call what you or siyo state as 'facts' if anything misinterpreting the manga to suit your belief and you could accuse me of doing the same. Just have to wait and see and thats about it really

Izanami.

Izanami is not useless in combat in its defined form of approach.

________________________________________________________

If it's 1 Vs 1 = It can be usefull.

Specialy if you do not want to kill your opponent and change your oponents way of thinking and bring your oponent to the right path.

It's explained by Itachi/Kishi how it works.

Possibly there is alot room to play around with Izanami = Great variety in it.

It comes down to the battle of "choice".

But it's still a "cause" and "effect" type of situation.

________________________________________________________

We have seen the Itachi form of Izanami so far , but we could see some of them from other flashbacks.

________________________________________________________

Also it appears to me , that Izanami = is not suitable to all of oponents.

It will most likely work on those who had altered or deceived their ordinary fate/destiny in a way where they are not aware of the change anymore.

If that person who is in Izanami = and becomes aware of ones fate/destiny.

Will be released from Izanami.

Izanami is actualy very easy to activate = but very hard to get out , since it's a jutsu to choose the destiny.

I hope that helped^^.

Not really, its the same, Kabuto can't accept that he can fail, he believes he is perfect since he's so drunk with power. He believes his abilities make him a 100% success.
Uchiha can't accept failure, they can just replay like in a video game. They believed their abilities made them 100% success.

People who think Itachi had to create a situation twice in order to activate Izanami misunderstand. A' was a *conceptual creation, and by the time A' happens, Izanami is already active. Not as hard to pull off as people seem to think (other than costing an eye).
