naruto could never unlock the eyes, he has the body of SO6P so it was prolly a way to get that quicker. js.

i think itachi's gift was along the lines of a sharingan because in the fight with nagato [not pains] or discussion after nagato stakes naruto, naruto mixes the sage mode with his jinjuaki to form sort of a sharingan eye and creates a genjutsu in the from of a fox that scares the shit out of nagatoO.O

he doesnt make a genjutsu he just sees resolve and confidence in what naruto believes in. naruto doesnt know genjutsu.

I agree, Naruto doesn't specialize in the particular craft of Genjutsu , so i doubt that he could enable that use of chakra.

I also agree with you for the fact that its very possible that it is on the lines of sharingan, and that he mixes Sennin with the Kyubbi

My thery is that at some time naruto will use izangi or whatever to defeat sasuke, cuz it says the uzumaki and the senju are close blood relitives, and madara says that to use it you need to have both uchilia and senju dna to use izangi

Yeah I'm pretty sure that the supposed Madara we are witnessing now is Obito either possessed or hell-bent on revenge. If you notice, when he took the rinnegan, he put it in the other eye, which is where the eye he gave to Kakashi once was... that or he just felt like getting rid of his other sharingan. Who knows.

I'm all for Tobi != Madara but I'm fairly certain Tobi != Obito.
Madara lost his left eye using Izanagi against Konan. She had him beat it was his only way to survive her attack. That is the eye he put the rinnenegan in, the one he would have needed a new eye in anyway.

Well! most stories don't have a fairytale ending..so going with this logic, I doubt it if Sasuke can find his way back (i.e. even if Itachi was to explain the true story of the massacre of the Uchiha Clan, as some would like to believe).
I think after Sasuke recuperates, he will be bestowed with higher powers and will be able to take the Mangekyo Sharingan and the Susanoo to a completely new level to match Naruto's control of the Nine Tails....At this epic battle, when all hope seems lost against Naruto's battle with Sasuke...Itachi's gift will be the one gift to counter all of what Sasuke is. Itachi passed on these gifts to Sasuke explaining to him about the sacrifices he had made for the love of the Hidden Leaf and though unsaid Itachi would have hoped that Sauke finds his way back then..Since, Sasuke chose a completely different path and gravely misuses his gifts...I believe his gift to Naruto will negate everything that Sasuke possesses as a gift...ahem!

If, if anyone else is getting the rinnegan its sasuke. Madara means to have sasuke sync withe the gedo mezo statue. He told this to kabuto before or after showing him the 100,000 zetsu clones.
I think this gift to naruto is for when naruto is sol, he might get some sharingan for a minute, its gonna give him some chakra of course.
