[Theory] Itachi's Gift To Naruto was a way to Unlock the Rinnegan?? Perhaps?

itachi doesnt have the ems cos u cant get it from ur parents only brother. So that theory might be wrong, but it would be soo cool if naruto go the rinnegan.
. And i just noticed that Madara's right eye is uchiha shisui's eye, he's now freaky strong!! Hope Naruto learns that technique soon. Lets get back to Kakashi's division, this whole team Asuma saga sucks!

A) rinnengan would be contrary to the character of Naruto.
B) A simple message wouldn't justify his desire that it never be used.
So I'm sticking with my theory which seems to have been forgotten.
C) Itachi's Gift to Naruto was a sealing jutsu. Itachi planned to die fighting Sasuke to awaken sasuke's MS, he knew Sasuke would eventually need to take his eyes. So he puts a sealing jutsu on his own eyes. The seal will activate and seal the sharingan away when it is triggered. This would force Sasuke to fight without his Sharingan MS EMS or otherwise. he's become too reliant on it, feeling it makes him infallible. So if Naruto has to fight Sasuke, and makes up his mind that he must kill sasuke.... the gift triggers the seal and sasuke's eyes are sealed away.

^^^ nice theory. it clearly fits itachi's message. but we could all be wrog. kishi i know, is very good at thwarting all our speculations and theories.
"Lets hope you don't have to use it" Don't use the Rinnegan? I don't get it, if Itachi's gift was to help Naruto unlock the Rinnegan why would he say lets hope you don't have to use it? Wouldn't that be a good thing if Naruto uses it?

that's why it's not that. i personally think that it is a way to allow naruto to control the nine tailed beast. since it fits his condition very well.
dude.. heres why.. if everything went according to itachi's original plan.. that is sasuke killing him and returning back to the leaf village.. and sasuke having no idea about the truth of itachi.. but just incase.. saskuke found out itachi's truth.. itachi took measures to prevent him from falling in the hands of madara.. such as the amaterasu he planted in sasuke's eye.. and the gift he gave to naruto..
so itachi told naruto that he didnt have to use it.. because incase itachi's original plan had been successful about sasuke not finding out the truth.. and sasuke returning to the village.. there would be no reason for naruto to use it.. (it applies to both theory 1 and the rinnegan theory)
you are ever really retarded or have realised your wrong and wont give up because itachi did not have EMS the only person who has ever had it is madara ( i say had because im not sure if he has it anymore due to him only using 3 tomoe sharingan instead of EMS) also during that whole fight itachis lie to sasuke was that he was going to take his eyes .
its like you dont even read the manga or watch the anime. now stop complaining and accept that your wrong

Let me just explain , Itachi had MS , NOT EMS .
EMS requires a transplant of ANOTHER MS .
The three jutsus (Tsukuyomi , Amaterasu and Susanoo) only need an MS .
EMS requires a transplant of ANOTHER MS .

Once you have EMS , using these jutsus will not put damage on your eyesight , explaining Itachi's eyesight problems .
ALSO , Sasuke does not have EMS , yet . This would explain his deteriorating eyesight .

I wonder what will happen with the spare Rinnegan, Could it be an requirement for the Juubi Resurrection? I mean it shown that the Juubi had the Rinnegan aswell

There are so many things wrong with this statement it's not even funny
What we know from actually reading the manga is that the So6P fathered at least 2 sons. The members of the Senju line are the descendants of the younger son while the Uchiha line are the descendants of the older son. It doesn't state anywhere that these sons were Hashirama and Madara, "Madara" does imply that the dispute which tore the original family apart into two feuding factions does seem to transcend time through the blood and bonds which are shared by relation. This is seen with the brotherly rivalry we've seen with Sasuke and Naruto, and possibly implied by "Madara" in reference to Hashirama.
I say "Madara" because while it's highly implied that Tobi is in fact the same Madara we've seen so many times fighting against Hashirama, we've never seen his entire face to compare against his younger self.
In reference to the EMS ocular jutsu, theoretically it may be possible to transfer a previously formed EMS into another person (as seen with other ocular jutsus), however to unlock the jutsu itself the manga has only implied that achieving it is only possible through direct blood relation or the more specifically mentioned: brothers and both having achieved the MS ocular jutsu.
An interesting after thought though, achieving and keeping EMS might not be limited to gaining and keeping direct blood oculars but gaining compatible host oculars as well. The basis for this thought is the curiosity which came from "Madara's" frustration with Shisui's eyes being sealed when Danzo died. If that's the case then perhaps achieving EMS isn't solely localized to taking direct blood oculars but may also include highly compatible ocular transplants which have met the previous requirements. This theory exists from understanding how our own organ transplants work, while the most successful transplants occur within blood relation there are successful transplants with highly compatible matches; while there's no proof of such a thing happening in the manga, and no more compatible Uchiha to test such a theory it remains as just an unproven and currently false theory.
Another theory I'd like to add while on the subject of ocular transplants: as the Uzumaki hails from a branch of the younger brother's path, Rinnegan from the So6P, and "Madara's" compatibility with the Rinnegan without tiring (new mask design is basis for this thought).. it's possible for Naruto to gain Sharingan/MS/EMS/Rinnegan through transplant without gaining the negative tiring side effect shown in non So6P linage users like Kakashi or Danzo.
Though like most I doubt Naruto will ever gain an ocular jutsu such as those, it doesn't suit his character.

um well i do like that idea but itachi does not have the EMS the only way he could have it is if he took sasukes eyes, right now sasuke has the EMS<3<3Well.. i currenly believe in two theories regarding the gift Itachi gave to Naruto...
Theory 1 : This seems to be the most widely accepted theory and which i support too... that when the time naruto battles sasuke and itachi shows up(somehow, either from a genjutsu or some sort of seal like minato did) and convince sasuke.. to go against madara.. and the tell sasuke the most accurate version of the uchiha massacre..
But while reading another thread "my thoery on why naruto might unlock the sharingan".....
A person came up with an interesting thoery saying that 'Maybe Itachi gift was the same as Madara to Nagato? A way to awaken the Rinnegan?, at a critical point in a battle?'
What i thought was...
This could end up being a good theory.. but there is a plot hole.. well you see madara claims he gave nagato the rinnegan.. madara has the EMS.. itachi too has it.. and both madara and itachi are geniuses, so it could work itachi doing the same thing to naruto..(another supporting point is that nagato and naruto both were uzumaki.. and to add to that naruto has the body of the so6p).. but we dont know were sure if madara really did give or was he lying.. in the manga it is clear that nagato was distantly related to the sage in some way and the rinnegan has reawakened through him..
if whatever madara did really give.. how did he.. and why didnt he keep it to himself.. did he give to only take it back again??
But this theory seems possible too....

what about the gift being a way to seal other people or how to seal the juubi inside him. just a guess.
i dont think naruto would get the rinnegan because he will be to strong and his power and sasukes have to balance out just like madara and the 1st they are rivals and kishi wont make one much stronger than the other and naruto in his new kyubi form is the ultimate sages body and sasuke ems would be the sages eye and i think the only person who might actually unlock the rinnegan is sasuke he will have the sages eye so maybe and i think the gift is a way to seal the jubi thats why itachi said he hopes the day never comes when he have to use it
