[Theory] Itachi's Gift To Naruto was a way to Unlock the Rinnegan?? Perhaps?

Ps, i have a foul feeling the Madara we know is Obito. At least it is Obito's body. Madara took over Obito's body. It does explain the one eye Madara has shown till now and would explain why he had to give away the rinnegan temporarily.

Madara isn't using Obito's body, the whole left side of Obito's body was crushed by the boulder, so how could he use the left eye socket then instead of the right?

This could end up being a good theory.. but there is a plot hole.. well you see madara claims he gave nagato the rinnegan.. madara has the EMS.. itachi too has it.. and both madara and itachi are geniuses, so it could work itachi doing the same thing to naruto..(another supporting point is that nagato and naruto both were uzumaki.. and to add to that naruto has the body of the so6p).. but we dont know were sure if madara really did give or was he lying.. in the manga it is clear that nagato was distantly related to the sage in some way and the rinnegan has reawakened through him..
if whatever madara did really give.. how did he.. and why didnt he keep it to himself.. did he give to only take it back again??

But this theory seems possible too....

i would like to share one of my petty theories re this "gift" itachi gave to Naruto the time itachi was about to battle sasuke...

here i go...
reading from the context, itachi would have wanted to put Naruto under his "genjutsu" again. this is to make sure Naruto listens to him and does not react violently knowing Naruto was also after him 'in trail for sasuke's whereabouts'. itachi knew it is just one of Naruto's clones and he did make his message accross, perhaps he was rest assured Naruto won't back down to what Naruto's ninja way was - "to never give up on sasuke". having been contented with Naruto's never say die attitude, "he left something with Naruto in the form of the usual crow" which he also uses to cast genjutsu on his battles...then we know what happened to his "tsukuyumi" ... it was broken or undone by sasuke during their epic battle.
...here i surmise the "the gift is a "genjutsu based" capability for Naruto to break free from an expected most powerful genjutsu to be casted by "sasuke's EMS".

...but i would borrow your "itachi's appearance by way of a chakra contraption" for the "uchiha massacre's absolute truth" be told to an avenger sasuke. but itachi's appearance wouldn't be enough to appease sasuke...it will be Naruto's turn to break free from this terrible and deadly genjutsu -- because of the "gift". - so, to put it...this is a modification of your theory # 1.

...re theory # 2, i doubt this. we read from the start that the rinnegan was inherited by the older son from the so6p. judging from modern day genetics, madara's giving the powerful eye to nagato is still questionable. madara is a liar.
...for Naruto to unlock sharingan or rinnegan would be short to say "an overkill" in terms of power balance in the manga. imagine Naruto with a sharingan like that of kakashi's godly ocular abilities with almost limitless chakra....even the most powerful susanoo and the most terrifying amaterasu will be sent to oblivion...then sasuke running out of chakra ... with Naruto remaining unscathe...
...but this is still possible though...less likely for me...thru transplant maybe...

...and re your plot hole...i'll be amazed should you answer your own questions. for me...the body of the the so6p in Naruto will be enough for the cycle of hate to be broken...then ultimate peace achieved ...at last.

Madara has ems he took his brothers eyes fact.....itachi had ms he was going blind watch the fight his eyes were bleeding, plus kakashi teased itachi about going blind if he had the enernal why would he tell sasuke he was going to take his eyes, he actually says it more than once during there fight. Go back and watch it. Why would madara do all that planning just to take over the body of a young boy who's body is crushed under a rock? Talk about a fixer upper. Does anyone here actually read the manga or watch the subtitled episodes or is it all Disney xd?

Ultimately its up for kishi to decide and we will just have to wait for the manga to progress to see the interesting outcome..

About the part that Madara once had the rinnegan and gave it to nagato to take it back later, it does sound possible. It would suppose to be a part of his plan to become the Juubi-jinchuuriki.

I do have to agree with you that maybe Madara thought Nagato could be the Jinchuuriki for the Juubi.
Lots of theory's on Itachi's gift i personally think it was a memory which when Naruto and Sasuke fight Itachi will appear before them both and maybe tell them about what Madara truly hopes to accomplish

As for the Topic... i think.. in sasuke vs naruto... naruto gt every ninjitsu to match or even exceed sasuke's .... bt whn sasuke starts wid the genjitsu... naruto doesnt stand a candles chance in a hurricane......... i mean.. the sharingan's essentially sought after due to its most powerful genjitsu... even though it dint work on killer bee, bt that was because the 8-tail nd he were collaborating as partners.. nd dats nt the case wid the kyubi...

hashirama and madara aren't brothers, if you read the manga, madara clearly states that they were the descendants of the sons of the so6p. hashirama gained the will power and the life force of the so6p, and the uchiha inherited the eyes, and the strength, the senju were the best of the ninja, and they wouldn't have been able to be sucked in to the sharingan, unless they had awakened something inside of them, and madara says to naruto that naruto has the will power and the strength of the hashirama so naruto would already, itatchi gave naruto the power to activate the counter to the sharingan XD please tell me if im wrong hehehe
