Itachi vs Shikamaru

The reason I'm asking is that Itachi is now known as a damn brilliant genius. Shikamaru is known to think far ahead, but after the latest chapter i think that Itachi beats Shikamaru in brilliance and intellegence. Opinions?

the last chapter? all he did was give naruto the MS hoping that it would turn sasuke. it failed because it turned him. he obviously didnt think far enough ahead because he didnt forsee himself being revived by edo tensei.

shikamaru wins because his is probably smarter and has more experience in the game.

I also say Itachi because i was amazed at how far he thought with the whole clan massacre and the whole crow in Naruto thing.

That's a stupid thing to say. If you actually understood Itachi, his plan was not even to kill Sasuke, so obviously he would loose. He was on medication that was postponing his death which was long due, so it's not like he minded.
