Muu is a sensor, so he doesn't even need his vision to fight. He simply closes his eyes or avoids looking into Itachi's eyes. So genjutsu isn't really a factor.

Sorry but muu isn't going to properly fight with his eyes closed the whole time, even if he's a sensor, relying on just your sensory abilities to fight severely handicaps you. What does he do if a kunai is thrown his way? hmm

He takes care of clones by going invisible and stabbing them with his sword.

Once a clone dies itachi will know which one died & where muu is due to the clones info sharing, itachi will then spam that area with either his katon or crow summons + a shunshin blitz.

Itachi also creates clones faster than muu can stab them all, so he'll never hit the real one.

When he goes visible to load up the jinton, he can do it from behind a stone pillar so amaterasu won't nail him.

Muu can't charge jinton while invisible, he will be visible once he preps it. Itachi has clones on the field so he can see from multiple directions, & with sharingan precog he will see muu charge up before he actually does. Hiding behind a pillar isn't working unless you believe itachi is just going to stand in the open waiting for an attack.

Susano'o can't tank jinton since Itachi has to move the shield to face Mu (the shield doesn't automatically move by itself.) And what the databook meant by "properties" was "composition". Mu can just outlast if nothing else.

He doesn't have to move the shield, we've seen yata move/change on it's own.

@Bold: Properties mean properties, there is nothing specific regarding yata's composition except for the statement saying it has no physical form. So you can't say what the databook "meant" because it meant what it said. Composition & properties are two different things.

& How exactly does muu outlast if he has to constantly keep invisibility on? He will have his chakra drained for the entire fight. Itachi can maintain susanoo until the very moment he dies, muu isn't outlasting itachi especially if he sticks to his clones & only uses susanoo for jinton [which muu only has a few shots of anyways].

Man itachi's stamina is underrated. u_u

Already Argued the "Yata 360" thing in the past with "Pro Itachi fans". Lets use common sense:

If it was "360" auto def, why would Itachi make his susanoo moves its forearm forward with the shield in front to block? If it was auto 260 def shouldn't itachi not make a move and the shield cover him with out thought? Why would itachi even have to move the shields arm an inch? Don't think to hard...

Amaterasu isnt effective at long ranges against humans [ ] so muu would be safe at long range, jinton atomizes susanoo

Muu has a sword, no need to resort to Jinton when he could slice his neck.

I really don't think it works that way. The moment muu try's to attack itachi his presence would at the very least a detectable and itachi would counter it. Not only that the problem I have with most VS battles is that everyone try's to use cheap tricks or use their strongest attack off the bat itachi would not waste his best techniques like that and neither would Muu. Itachi is a analytical ninja he try's to use strategies using his best attacks for last case senerio. Muy is also a very dangerous, tactical ninja but never the less he can be counter plus in the past it was shown that both him and the 3 tsukage got beat by madara using his complete susano so I would give it to the analytical and OP uchiha. Not doubting that muu isn't strong or anything just base on what we know it just goes towards itachi favor.

Full intel can also benefit Itachi as well. Yata Mirror has been shown to be able to cover the entirety of Susano'o in a bubble like form.

How long can he keep this up with his poor stamina and average chakra reserves

It only gets revealed if he uses chakra if he's attacking with kunai or running it dosesnt get picked up only someone who can sense ppl movement through via physical contact (gaara) can detect mu in this state something itachi does not have

The aura is part of yata, you can see clearly where susanoo & yata are separated.
But the Aura itself isn't what blocks the attack. It's like a shield, we can see how the aura moves about but the circles never do

- That's a frontal attack, what reason would yata have to cover the back?

- We don't see how yata changed during the attack, so for all we know it could have covered the front/back without us knowing, not saying that's what happened but neither of us know so we can't base any conclusions off of it.

The size of the explosion was much larger than susanoo look at it...my point is, we would have seen yata covering the top of susanoo as well but we only saw it covering the front

this explosion wasn't as large as the previous one but you can see susanoo stretching forward to fend off the attack before it comes any closer. If yata could protect everywhere, what would be the need of susanoo stretching it's arm forward to protect the attack before it comes closer

Just to prove it was stretching forward, we can see this scan

This guy had a 2.5 in the DB. That was in part 1 when he wasn't sick

I agree with Drap.

Sick Itachi spammed his MS during his battle with Sasuke and made Sasuke lose all of his juice yet he has enough chakra to pull Susano'o.

To be honest it seemed more like his chakra level wasn't affected. I think it was just his movements and attacks that were off.

And also, remember Kakashi noticed the same thing when he referred to his previous encounter.

I admit in this fight, things would turn out to be different. Itachi would move and attack better but his chakra level wouldn't really change.

Are you referring to MS jutsu's or his sickness? If you are talking about his sickness then i might agree with you.But if you are saying that MS won't take much chakra then Kakashi clearly said that Tsukuyomi (MS technic) requires considerable amount of chakra in this page.[ ]

I don't think Muu can push Itachi to his limits in this battle.

I am laughing at the person who thinks the Yata's hype from the Databook is reliable.

Itachi kills him with ease.

-Ribcage Susanoo blocks any sword attacks.

-Amaterasu lights him up if he ever shows himself for Jinton
Yeah once again itachi cannot maintain Susanno for long he wil either go blind or just die ....

Sasuke didn't have full access to his "juice" due to suppressing orochimaru .... If something is inside of u u need chakra to suppress it while sasuke was weakened oro took over and took his chance

Itachi didn't make sasuke lose all his chakra what itachi did was force sasuke to go curse ark 2 during that part of fight a lot of chakra had been wasted cuz it consumes chakra

But yeah anyway no one is providing valid arguement a on how itachi beats Mu all I'm hearing is Susanno and tosaka Amatratsu etc -_- tht won't work

Yata has been shown to change it's shape.

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

DB says it can alter all of it's properties, size & shape are both properties. [ ]

Nothing suggests that yata cannot cover the rear of susanoo, there is only proof which tells us the contrary.

Well if I go by the databook I could say many absurd things like this as well. The databook gives us a idea more or less of what something can do. Yata Mirrors only feats are blocking a paper bomb and a snake. That doesn't come close to validating its databook hype, not by a loooooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg shot.

Its appalling that so much praise and credit is given to this weapon considering it feats it has displayed. I feel like people blindly accepts what the databook says concerning this just because its Itachi, but refuses and dismisses most other databook things that have more feats than the Yata Mirror. Interesting.

The very fact that Orochimaru managed to break free from Sasuke proves that Sasuke used all of his juice and none of those points can change the fact that the jutsu that were used by Itachi takes more chakra than everything Sasuke did during that battle yet he outlasted Sasuke.Stamina isn't a problem for Itachi unless he faces someone of his own caliber. (Minato or MS Sasuke for example)

There is nothing that suggests that Sharingan can't see his chakra when he is invisible.Sharingan already proved to be able to see through similar/same .It may not hold much value as an argument but Madara defeating Muu should also be taken into the account here.It supports the point of Sharingan being able to see though that jutsu. Even if Itachi can't see him (which is most likely not going to happen) Itachi's tracking skills are on a whole new level so he can do fine even Muu plays hide and seek. Muu needs to turn off his invisible mode to attack with Jinton and Itachi can use Amaterasu to hit him immediately.
