What do you mean get over it... Itachi ... THE GUY WITH POWER fully said that he couldn't win against Jiraiya so what is there to get over? You're putting your fanboyism over fact

Granted Itachi said this, that was in Part I. and to be exact, he said they would end up killing each other. It isn't as if Kishi remembers every single thing he has made every single character say throughout the Manga, because Kishi does f*** up sometimes. Sometimes he just forgets, and writes something that is contradictory to what was previously stated by one of his characters.

From what Kishi has shown from both Jiraiya and Itach, and not what he has said about them through characters, (Even Itachi himself) who do you think would win?

Once that question is asked, a real conversation on who would win this fight can be had; without just saying "Itachi said he can't beat Jiraiya. End of story"
