I have reasons because when there is a fight between Minato and Itachi happened sur Minato will use flying thunder god technique to come before him and stab him with kunai or use rasengan. Then from itachi's bod crows will appear.It meant that Minato is now under Itachi's genjutsu. Itachi's tusukyomi is unique because it can controll time so even if Minato stay in a few seconds in illusion the damage would hace been done.This is not only for Minato but for other ninjas too.He can seal his enemy using totsuka sword in susano. Same for Madara[Indicating that I am not against Minato].
Then you will say he can't defeat so6p. But I didn't consider him as a ninja since he is a god like character.

How can you say ? The power of sharingan is truly amazing and it is proven by obito. Remember at that fight he was 14 year old.If 14 year old obito can do this more experienced Itachi can do more damge to Minato.

Shino's extremely intelligent, he can block Genjutsu with his insects, he can block Itachi's fireballs with bugs, if his bugs catch Itachi it's over. If Itachi used amaterasu Shino could block it with bugs, and hide. Sasuanoo is made of chakra and can be eaten by bugs. The only chance Itachi stands against Shino is by using his MS and the living Itachi wouldn't be able to use it long. Now Edo Itachi could just spam the hell out of amaterasu and win but that's the only way. Shino can hide his bugs in the ground and surprise Itachi like he did against the zetzu clone. Itachi can't see things underground because he was shocked by Kakashi's attack. Shino is fond of using clones also.

Absurd... WE all know Minato is powerfull, yet we dont know his all ability. So just take it that way: Hokage is the most powerfull shinobi in Konoha. That means he is more powerfull then Hiruzen and we all know what Hiruzen was capable of. So Minato has more to encounter Hiruzen. They ought to fight for the title of the Hokage somehow and we didnt see it, yet. Don't assume conculusions on a man who we all dont know too much about...
