Absurd... WE all know Minato is powerfull, yet we dont know his all ability. So just take it that way: Hokage is the most powerfull shinobi in Konoha. That means he is more powerfull then Hiruzen and we all know what Hiruzen was capable of. So Minato has more to encounter Hiruzen. They ought to fight for the title of the Hokage somehow and we didnt see it, yet. Don't assume conculusions on a man who we all dont know too much about... A.) He doesn't need to do anything, Itachi's susanoo is his itachi's weakness, he does massive damage to the body and would take up allot of little chakra he has, not to mention that Minato is to fast for anything that Susanoo can do. Itachi's mobility will also decrease.

B.) Itachi's Tsukuyomi has a range of 0-5 meters with perfect eye contact that also includes pure concentration. It's easily dodged, just don't look in to his eye's plus getting in a 5 meter radios of Minato is Instant death in this situation.

C.) Itachi techniques = Minato? You for real bro, Minato is a master of sealing, a whole clan was wiped out purely on the fact they were to dangerous with sealing techniques and Kushina taught Minato them.

Despite what you say, Hashirama to me was the strongest Shinobi with his natural abilities, he is the strongest non modified Shinobi. But he was just Shinobi who had the tools to do what he did, he was a better fighter than Madara and his wood jutsu could supress the Bijuus chakra. Greatest to me are the ones who sacrificed the most and still managed to go on, Hashirama was never cornered in any way like Itachi, he was always on the winner side with nothing to lose. His life was not complex at all, unlike Itachi's.

There is no correct answer, somebody can say udon is the greatest and come up with his points.

What makes him the greatest is that he was the leader of the strongest clan who was so great that the uchiha desowned their own leader for the a senju to become the first hokage. Its due to his influence that the village was named the 'leaf' village and his ideology and the will of fire shines bright even in itachi. Its his idea of a village system that other countries followed. Its his scrolls/info in the hokage's office that allows the next generation of hokage's to improve. He was the sensei along with Tobirama of Hiruzen was later the sensei of the sannins who are now the sensei's of minato, naruto, sasuke, sakura. He later defeated the greatest 'evil' of his time.
