[Discussion] Itachi‘s failure as a brother and a shinobi

I just randomly read your post because I got irritated.
Itachi is a genuis ninja who predicted everything wisely.
If Itachi didn't slaughter his whole clan, I'm sure konoha is ruined. He doesn’t have any choice. Itachi himself said that he wanted to protect Konoha in the shadow. He doesn’t want to have a title like other heroic shinobis that everyone looked up like Minato etc.
In his entire life, all he wanted is to make sure konoha is at one piece and to protect his beloved little brother. Well he can’t accomplished things at the same time that’s why he gave the job to Naruto who told him he’ll protect Konoha and save Sasuke that’s why he entrusted Shisui’s eye to him.
Itachi is in the middle of a tough decision and making Sasuke hate him gave Sasuke the opportunity to be strong and decided to die by his little brother’s hand (He still wanted to act like a villain in the end to think that his purpose is the opposite..talk about being a martyr) I’m sure if Itachi is the compassionate brother like he is before, Sasuke will just forever admire him and he’ll never improve.

This whole mess started with Itachi not fully committing to a mission he took upon himself, sure the elders gave him the orders, but it was his decision to obey or not.

He ended up doing a half job which resulted in ruining Sasuke’s life. Sasuke would have found peace if his life ended the night of the massacre, because then he wouldn’t have carried the extreme amount of hate he has now. You might say he couldn’t make himself kill his beloved little brother, which might have had some merit if he didn’t just murder his entire clan, his mother and father included. Itachi was willing to kill for his ideology and leaders, so him not completing the task was selfish and it obviously came back to haunt him and the entire shinobi alliance.

The remainings of itachi’s life was focused on redeeming himself, by making sure Sasuke was strong enough to not only kill him, but also move on with his life after carrying such a big burden. Itachi’s methods were also questionable here´, because he actually made sasuke more miserable by constantly mocking and humiliate him just so Sasuke’s hate could grow(with powers).Very counterproductive, because this also removed Sasuke from the love and appreciation he received from the village, and more importantly Team 7.

The only one who could/would tell Sasuke about the massacre was madara. Itachi knew that, but obviously he couldn’t take down madara, so he decided to keep an eye on him and keep him in check, which at best was a temporarely solution .When he died, his worst nightmare happened and sasuke got picked up by madara, and itachi’s desperate attempt at stopping madara(the strongest uchiha in history)with sasuke’s eyes failed yet again.I don’t think itachi thought this long, but rather put the ameterasu as an extra guarantee otherwise he would’ve thought of something better.

Finally, the last chance to help/manipulate sasuke into joining the good side failed with shisui’s eye getting exposed used against a zombie version of itachi. This was his last resort, and sasuke’s destiny is for always out of itachi’s hands, hence the failure as not just a shinobi but a brother.He now has to rely on other folks to do what he himself couldn’t. Action speaks louder than words, and itachi’s good intentions doesn’t change the events which occured.

And itachi had to pick 1 or the 2 "Leaf village or Uchiha clan, but he cared for the leaf village more so he wiped out the clan. Taking the burden on his shoulders, being the blame for EVERYTHING, instead of the Leaf village taking the blame.

itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan lasted for 8 years through continuous use, and sasukes lasted for 12 days. And his Amatersau peirced Jiraiyas toud mouth trap, While Sasukes couldnt even Penetrate garras sand

I do see your point. I actually wished he killed Sasuke during that massacre. Sasuke is such a retard. nyahahaha!

However, I don't see it as a FAILURE. He was hoping his actions would turn out the best for Sasuke and for the village. I don't think anyone around here expected the TRUTH about Itachi. Especially, Sasuke's reactions about it.

I do however can't blame Sasuke for hating Itachi at the start. I mean, I would to, feel the same. But Itachi had good intentions and he never meant for Sasuke to be the bad guy. But then again, after finding the truth, Itachi did sort of expect Sasuke's reactions. That's why he gave that crow to Naruto. But deep inside his heart, as a brother, he was expecting Sasuke would turn back to LEAF. But as we all know it already, it didn't happen. Sasuke actually failed ITACHI.

Itachi chose his village over his clan for PEACE.

Itachi chose his brother over his village for LOVE.

Konoha got its PEACE for a short time. Mission accomplished.

Sasuke's hatred to his brother turned to LOVE, done.

Now, Sasuke is all bad guy because of his LOVE to Itachi. Shinobi War is all happening because of MADARA.

Without MADARA, truth wouldn't be discovered, no akatsuki, no all those horrible stuff.

So, if we're going to blame someone here, it's MADARA. xD

I am still damn sure it was not Itachi who destroyed his clan but i think it was madara who did .........
itachi made a deal with him to not destroy the village and instead decided to give him the uchiha..........which madara agreed....
Now what itachi did was he fed the elders of konoha with the false information about the so called coup de`etat by the uchiha....and so he was ordered to kill them all ....
so on that night itachi stepped aside to let madara do the killing....
but when it came to sasuke he could not hold back and so followed sasuke on that night of massacre and protected him from madara thats my guess.....

I am not "following you around", I am usually your main opposition in a debate when it comes to Itachi vs threads and that is why I remember. If you don't even look at the names of the persons you debate against, then that is your problem, but I do. I presume the "constantly watching" part was a joke so I won't bother with that part.

What he predicted is what actually happen..Sasuke become a threat and he is right to entrust Shusui's eyes to Naruto. He didn't failed and because of edo tensei he knew what's the purpose of Shisui's eyes. Thanks to Kabuchimaru, everything is cleared in the truth about Itachi thingy
