Itachi‘s failure as a brother and a shinobi (not talking about intelligence or abilities)

This whole mess started with Itachi not fully committing to a mission he took upon himself, sure the elders gave him the orders, but it was his decision to obey or not.

He ended up doing a half job which resulted in ruining Sasuke’s life. Sasuke would have found peace if his life ended the night of the massacre, because then he wouldn’t have carried the extreme amount of hate he has now. You might say he couldn’t make himself kill his beloved little brother, which might have had some merit if he didn’t just murder his entire clan, his mother and father included. Itachi was willing to kill for his ideology and leaders, so him not completing the task was selfish and it obviously came back to haunt him and the entire shinobi alliance.

The remainings of itachi’s life was focused on redeeming himself, by making sure Sasuke was strong enough to not only kill him, but also move on with his life after carrying such a big burden. Itachi’s methods were also questionable here´, because he actually made sasuke more miserable by constantly mocking and humiliate him just so Sasuke’s hate could grow(with powers).Very counterproductive, because this also removed Sasuke from the love and appreciation he received from the village, and more importantly Team 7.

The only one who could/would tell Sasuke about the massacre was madara. Itachi knew that, but obviously he couldn’t take down madara, so he decided to keep an eye on him and keep him in check, which at best was a temporarely solution .When he died, his worst nightmare happened and sasuke got picked up by madara, and itachi’s desperate attempt at stopping madara(the strongest uchiha in history)with sasuke’s eyes failed yet again.I don’t think itachi thought this long, but rather put the ameterasu as an extra guarantee otherwise he would’ve thought of something better.

Finally, the last chance to help/manipulate sasuke into joining the good side failed with shisui’s eye getting exposed used against a zombie version of itachi. This was his last resort, and sasuke’s destiny is for always out of itachi’s hands, hence the failure as not just a shinobi but a brother.He now has to rely on other folks to do what he himself couldn’t. Action speaks louder than words, and itachi’s good intentions doesn’t change the events which occured.

itachi not a failure if he wouldt kill the clan madara or danzo with the root would have done it icluding sasuke would have been killed he did it to protect sasuke,and itachi is the strongest uchiha not madara read manga he could get eternal mangekyou sharingan but decided to give it to sasuke

Just because he Failed once doesn't make him a failure in general

Everything that happend after itachi's death was out of his controll, He left sasuke with 2 choices

Go back to the leaf and be the hero who killed the man who slaughtered the entire uchiha clan

Or be a criminal

I wouldn't say that Itachi fails as a shinobi. He abandoned the village, even though he loves it. He joined Akatsuki to investigate Madara. He made Sasuke stronger that Sasuke can protect Konoha and Itachi died for the village.

First of all, Itachi was a hero because the Uchiha clan wanted to take over Komo, but he stopped it, even tho he had to kill everyone. He knew what was war like and he feared it, so he did what he had to do in order to achieve peace. He took on an unimaginable weight on his shoulders, like no man would ever do. If he would of refused, either way his family would of been killed in the war, and what good would that make?

Failure as a brother? What manga have you been reading? Itachi wanted him to become strong, and to protect him, not having leaving him experience war like he did himself. Your not even making sense, do you live in the 3rd World or something? Itachi never attempted to kill Madara, he wanted to fulfill Sasuke's revenge, and have Sasuke go back to the village. Worst nightmare? what are you talking about? And what do you mean by the strongest uchiha? He's a mestermind but he's not the strongest. The strongest eye technique lays in Shisui's eye, imo. Get your thoughts right, and come back, because this hurts my eyes reading it.

agreed, the uchia clan were planning to wadge war on the leaf village. itachi didnt want that, he wanted to keep peace and still keep the clan's reputation preserved.

Itachi did one mistake which was letting sasuke live and admiited that screwned up his plans.

And tried to get the best of both worlds of letting his brother live and his clans honor in tact. But Itachi didnt know how much madara knew of his mission and screwed him up big time.

Itachi admiitted he let him live and did everything he could do to make sure sasuke lives and thinks the uchiha are a proud clan but he did fail in the end because of madara but now confines in Naruto to finsh his mission.

And dont forgrt the shsui connection now, theres alot of ways to look at itachi's mission as more like itachi's AND shuis's mission. Itachi's last phrase about his past says it all,

"If the brother I left behind ever became a thread to the village, as the keeper of Shisui's eye,it would mean I betrayed his trust."

Itachi was a powerful shinobi, but he still failed in the end. If he would've just killed Sasuke, there wouldn't be a giant Sasuke problem in the world right now.

Itachi was a great brother, and Sasuke never really knew that. But Itachi was givin an order by his elders as a top-secret mission. He failed it. Now his failure is causing the world chaos because now Madara has his claws into Sasuke.

WHAT my point is that let's say you serve your country( USA for example) and they are going to attack a peaceful country ( here USA is the bad guy ) and remember this is only an example!!! anyway so yeah they ordered you to do the attack do you : 1) do what you were ordered EVEN if it was WRONG? or 2) you disobey your commander and face death, or even help the good guys? if your answer was number one, then Its your choice you wouldn't understand why Itachi did that, you are not different form the devil and his demons, WHY?! well they serve the devil doing everything GOD says not to do and they don't stop, they go from destroying everything they can to manipulating people/ presidents / kings to do the unforgivable, and if your answer was 2) then you'd understand why Itachi did what he did, but even his love to his brother which here ( IS one of the demons as the example i showed earlier) no one actually put a thought that if sasuke was raised by the uchiha clan he would turn out to be a cold blood killer, which Itachi knew ( as he said : there is no hope left for this clan ) NOW i'm gonna see most of you saying SEE that's where he failed and i will shut them oFF by saying again (CAN YOU SEE THE FUTURE ) as we know the manga is not over yet and there are theories of sasuke and naruto fighting madara together, SO ITACHI DIDN't fail (YET)!!! even if he asked help from naruto ( does it make you a looser or a failure if you ask help from someone? )!!! anyway that's as far as this goes........ And for the final part of this note ( hehe a long note ), let's take this to the actual thing ( THIS IS ANIME ) meaning it's fiction, So you guys focused on what KISHI did about the families and raising children,,, he made naruto and orphan and garra to hate his father and minato to put a monster in his kid, which lead to this :- This is a fighting anime not a DRAMA, and again WOW you guys focused on those things and forgot about the flames that come out of their mouths and KISAME ( looking like shark ) WTF!!! and sasuke calling thunder from the sky, and itachi throwing BLACK fire out of his eye, SERIOUSLY if you're gonna say we will not focus on these things( the unbelievable things) THEN DON't focus on the dramatic things BECAUSE THIS IS NOT REALLLITY, i mean they don't have cars but they have super DNA computers. WHAT i'm saying is this anime is the CLOSER of all fantasy/action ANIME ( NOTE: THIS IS THE BEST ANIME EVER)!! now please don't think that i'm attacking you or trying to put a fight here, i'm just saying what's on mind ( actually i have more but this is enough) but i had to say this because you were fighting for nothing, as I said everyone thinks deferentially and i respect everyone who posted anything here.. !! hey.. i would say your'e wrong.. you don't know what you brought up.. you didn't understand the manga as well as anime itself.. have you read/ seen the manga and anime well,??? or do you understand what it has to say??? you might be itachi's hater for posting this thread.. if sasuke suffered from that event that turn him to be a bad guy.. it is same as what happen to itachi.. you dont know what kind of burden he had w/ him.. he did obey the orders.. its just that they had an agreement and thats to spare sasuke's life... and thats because he love him very much than every one else in his clan.. it was showed up in the anime that he cry after the massacre and seeing his poor little brother crying.. it is very hard on itachi's part.. and FYI... there still much to learn about the massacre... we've never heard yet itachi side.. it's all from madara.. and we know he is the main villain in naruto world... so there is a posibilty that he was telling a lie about itachi'...

and don't put up something here that cannot stand up... youll'e end up busted.. before doing that.. try to read between the lines...
