Is Tobirama really powerful or not?

The Kin/Gin brothers where very very strong... Noone servived the Fox's stomach. After that they had those tools and Kyuubi chakra, so it's not a shame to be beaten by them. That's one thing, plus they indeed ambushed the 2nd Hokage.

The reason why they where beaten is because Darui knew about their techniques and they faced off against a genuis in tactics; Shikamaru. Combined with his greatest comrads. So there are many things that influenced the outcome of both the battle of Tobirama and the one of Darui.

Tobirama was a great Shinobi as he was the first one with Edo Tensei, Space Time Jutsu and his level of Water Jutsu. Besides that he was Senju, same genes as Hashirama and the fact that he was a Hokage tells us of his greatness as well. Only thing is we haven't really seen him in action, so it's hard to compare.

From what i feel... I think Kakashi (who is a marvellous ninja) would have close call, either win or loss, with Tobirama

Please read before posting, I'm not hating on Tobirama and I even considered him a top 10. However after seeing this page it somewhat changed my mind. So stop saying I'm trolling.

I was re-watching naruto and I came across an episode where Shikamaru said that Kinkaku was the one killed Tobirama. In the manga, it says Kinkaku just defeated him, but I suppose it's same thing since he lost to Kinkaku or gold/silver bro.

I'm not sure on what consensus is here on NB on how powerful Kinkaku and Ginkaku were, but considering that even though Darui and a few others had much trouble, they still managed to defeat them by using their own tools. Darui was also able to chop off their arms and fatally wound them as edo's before they even went into the tailed mode.

Many people theorize that he was near Hashi's level and also one of the top 10, but it would seem that it is not the case since most likely all top 10 characters could defeat the Gold and Silver bro with mid difficulty.

Well, it wasn't just Kinkaku/Ginkaku. It was their squad of bounty hunters, 10-15 of them + Gin/Kin bros. Personally, Tobirama is quite strong in my opinion.

Yeah but Nagato was only using 1 path during that fight and he was dangerously low on chakra.

-Well we know of 3 Senju
1st Hokage
2nd Hokage
5th Hokage

We all know that the 1st is the strongest, now we have to compare the 2nd to the 5th. Really this should be common sense the the 2nd is stronger than the 5th, just by feats alone
