Does nb plan on creating an app? Because all I use is my iPhone six lol I need to be able to log in here more easily ? The browser is shitty , if you all don't have an app , then you have lots of work to do
We have been trying a mobile theme but it's been too much bugs in it, so I don't think we will release it any soon.
how the hell did u even download a vine? This thread was ask about 500 times. Each time they said no.
But I agree they need an app
You asked if there's an app in the works, and people gave you the answer. You're the one that needs to relax. Please ignorant people stop being such a holes , I haven't been logged in here in forever, I'm not familiar with new rules so please relax and sit down
How about we take actual knowledgeable members and work on app??It's been suggested lots of times before. It's not a simple thing to do. People just go 'oh make an app' like it can be done overnight. No one has actually a suggested a way on how to make this app and if it's even a viable thing to do. Don't suggest things you have no knowelgde of.
No one has actually volunteered to do anything like that. And this app thing has been suggested for years now. Not to mention NB works fine on mobile, sure it's not as fast as on PC, but it's good enough. I use it everyday on my phone and I don't have much of a problem. How about we take actual knowledgeable members and work on app??
It is difficult but not an impossible thing to do, if members are ready to work alongside.
Just a suggestion from my side.

Problem isn't speed, it is sufficient fast, but main problem arises, when we RPers typically make bios, when we need to add fonts and all, while replying as well.No one has actually volunteered to do anything like that. Before beginning, I would like to add that I am a communication engineer myself. There are a few problems with this:
If you ask for members to be involved in making an app, you'll get a bunch of script kiddies copying and pasting whatever they can find on Stack Overflow all the while thinking they're being helpful.
People who possess the skills to make quality apps will either not want to bring work home with them, or alternatively they will have their own personal projects on the go.Disclaimer: I have never ventured into the world of app design, but having spent a lot of time with microcontrollers, things are never as straight forward as everyone seems to think they are.
Maintenance and availability. You're going to have to develop for multiple platforms (Android, iOS etc), and then you'll need to update and maintain the app as needed.
It's nice to meet someone in a similar line of study. I'll try to consider your past experience while I write this, and also preface this by restating that I've never designed an app, so please point out my ignorance if I make a fool of myself. Before beginning, I would like to add that I am a communication engineer myself.
How simple was the app that your friends made? I ask because an old classmate of mine used to boast about his complete mastery over web-design. It turns out that the entirety of his knowledge was how to use one specific software tool, where you could literally drag and drop banners, log-in fields, anything really, and it would complete the code in the background without him doing a thing. Despite him being able to make some impressive looking pages, he ultimately didn't understand how his websites functioned. Hell, he didn't even know how to host anything that he made, he'd always outsource that to someone else. I imagine similar software packages exist for app design, and I advise against their use unless you also understand the inner workings of them.Making simple app is easy, my friends made one. I have worked on multiple coding projects myself, so I know what I am talking about.
This is quickly evolving into a fully-fledged development. Being a project lead isn't an easy task, and it would require a moderator with knowledge relating to app creation. Would the members need to set up a repository? Would they need to flag errors and have some system to resolve them? Scrum meetings even?About copying of codes, we need a 'good moderator', who will choose 'who will work on the stuff' and will lead this project and hence not allowing those 'kidos' to work on stuff. Selection of members will also be there to make sure that people with 'hidden agenda' are filtered out.
I think that has been the conclusion of this thread, nobody in recent years has tried developing an app despite the obvious demand for one.It is all about willingness, if responce isn't good, they can always abort the project or perks such as premiums can be given to people doing substantial work
I agree with you. The most popular should always come first, however I was more worried about ongoing maintenance. If a member signs up to develop an app, would they then need to be available six months down the line when something changes and nobody can decipher their work? My honest opinion is that you can't miss what you never had. If an app never exists, some mobile users will be inconvenienced. If an app exists but ceases to function and nobody is around to fix it, the mobile users who relied on it will be annoyed at having to switch back.About OS issue, I suggest start with the most common environment, develop for android and iOS and then go for others.
No problem and nice to meet another technical guy like me.It's nice to meet someone in a similar line of study. I am aware of this. Many readymade things are available on the internet, but they aren't as good/cool as you want them to be.How simple was the app that your friends made? I ask because an old classmate of mine used to boast about his complete mastery over web-design. It turns out that the entirety of his knowledge was how to use one specific software tool, where you could literally drag and drop banners, log-in fields, anything really, and it would complete the code in the background without him doing a thing. It is indeed a difficult task and yes secured login is something that will be another challenging field, alongside interfacing of VBulletin. The app would need to interface with the main NarutoBase frame. I'm not sure how complex this is. If you or your friends were to develop an app then I'm sure many people would thank you for it. My one condition would be that it's secure and not hacked together: good news guys, I can get rid of that pesky error by removing four semi-colons!
Yes, the project leader is really important here and he needs to have significant knowledge relating app creation, but I think NB has enough amount of talented people to take care of this(this is all my observation and mods obviously know better). This is quickly evolving into a fully-fledged development. Being a project lead isn't an easy task, and it would require a moderator with knowledge relating to app creation. Would the members need to set up a repository? About availability, yeah that's why I suggested 'selection process'.I think that has been the conclusion of this thread, nobody in recent years has tried developing an app despite the obvious demand for one.

I would like to conclude by saying that, just like I said in my first post, it is indeed a suggestion that I wanted to present, after taking demand and various advantages into consideration. Developing an app is a challenge, but it isn't impossible, so why not go for one??Sorry this turned into a bit of a rant.
TL;DR - If making an app would be simple, I invite anyone to try. I just want checks in place to make sure it's done correctly.
