Part 1-hebi sasuke was a good character, he declined once he gained his MS.

I think so as well. His developments make more sense than most and he's come a long way from where he was before. There's definitely more that can be said but I always felt like Kishi was careful with Sasuke's character. And throughout the whole manga, Sasuke retains his "purity" so to speak, through the good and bad.

They probably don't know what a well written character is and don't realise it, even if they see him all the time and even if he's the mc's rival and the deuteragonist.
