religion is a failed attempt of humans to be with God... what we need is genuine RELATIONSHIP with God... when adan and eve was banished from eden what they lost was not religion but relationship with God...

Humans die, a common phenomenon... If we consider that there is a life after death then religion comes in play, most religions states that there is a life after death and we have to prepare for it...

So, it isn't really a problem... But it becomes one when people use it for discrimination...

Some people simply just can't stand what others believe in.. and by ''some people" i mean various people from various religions, not just one. I, myself am a religious person but i don't go ahead and bash someone else just because he doesn't keep the same beliefs as me. The problem is not religion rather the human nature itself. Religion is a necessity for this world, it give's some people a reason to live for if you look at it from a different perspective. Just voicing what i seem is true.

This is ridiculous opinion as I still see news of killing and rape every day in my life.

OT - Religion to me is nothing but an old age's order, just like democracy in today's time. With time comes the need of new order. To still keep believing in Bible where it says that it's the words of Gods when the very words of God that Sun revolve around the earth has been proven false is nothing but stupidity. Most so called religious people don't even know the truth of their religion origins in the first place. Ask Christians when was Jesus Christ born, mostly you'll get the answer 25th of December, which is wrong. Hell even the first Bible was written after 300 years from the death of Jesus in Greek, and not his birthplace, not in his language and obviously not by his people.

Islam nowadays is nothing but a religion used to create terrorists and violence. The stupid ritual of sacrifice still prevails in it. Is this some kind religion? Look at those terrorists, they don't even know the meaning of Jihad and are working for it. In true sense it means, "The spiritual struggle within oneself against sin". There are other meanings as well like "HOLY WAR" but the only thing they pick up is WAR and to them it's just "A war or struggle against unbelievers[ those who don't follow Islam]". Is this some kind of good religion? They deny the education to Women, force others to convert to Islam, can go to any length to do whatever they wish to come to power in the name of Islam and Allah.

One of the few philosophical religions I actually like are Hinduism and Buddhism, because of their ability to remove the old age brutal rituals, and change with time. Of-course there are some bad things in them as well and it does take time to change the old age beliefs but at-least it changes as seen throughout the history because they don't say, "Give death punishment to anyone who doesn't believe in 'Sanatan Dharma' ." Hell, if only the their ancestors have too crucified Buddha, like the thing done to Jesus, for opposing the corrupt practices and violent rituals of sacrifice, Buddhism would be the world religion today. Instead of killing him, they listened to him, adopted every one of his non-violence belief and discarded every one of their violent sacrificial rituals and gave him the title of "Avatar of Lord Vishnu" and made him God. Nearly half the world's population started following Buddha in his life time, even when he didn't used any force, and just through the power of his doctrine.

So, in the end, I don't really like religion. It divides us, that's it.
