ok, let's focus on the 2 paragraphs you wrote.
1- Get your historical facts straight. People love to blame religion, and they keep claiming that religion caused wars. But if you actually read about it and studied these wars deeply, you'll see that religion was, most of the times, just an excuse.
My prime exemple: The religious wars, in europe(they were actually called Religious Wars). I don't recall right now which country nor which religion, but I can go back to my history book to check it out(it will take some days since it's in another city, and I no longer use because I don't study history in college).
Anyway, a leader of country supported one religion in his country, however, because of political and economical interests, he supports another religion in another country. If these wars were about religion only, why would he do that?
Another exemple: The crusades, often used to show how religious people are monsters and bla bla bla. If you look more carefully, you'll see that one of the main reasons for it to exist was to conquer lands and gather more gold(basically, get more power). IIRC, the 4th crusade, I guess, was called the merchant's crusade(or something like it), and it barely had any religious involvement.
Conclusion: Religion was used many times as an excuse to create conflicts and make powerful people even more powerful. Yes, it was used for manipulation, but that doesn't mean it's religion's fault. Brazilians were manipulated for years with soccer, so that means soccer is "evil" too? It's the leader's fault, people that wanted too much power. Even catholic church, it's leader kept seeking more and more power, and it's own religion became a tool.
