i'm telling about the fight between jiraya and hanjos right or left hand man... seems to be it was not shown in manga anyway the episode no may be nauto shippuden 188 or189 -record of the gutsy ninja master and stdunt

why is itachi without his MS? not that he needs it though, a simple paralysis genjutsu would be more than enough.

Even with MS itachi loses.Genjutsu wont work on Sage Jiraya cause of Ma and Pa,Summons can buy enough time for Ma's and Pa's Genjutsu which is superior since it doesnt rely on eye contact and has an aoe.

Itachi takes this before he can even get into sage mode.

You seriously underrate Jiraiya. Your main argument is Amaterasu gg, but Itachi's Amaterasu was never as fast as Sasuke's. When it was used both Nagato and Zetsu had time to realize he was using it and even talk about it.

Jiraiya only needs a -single- hand seal to dodge it and once that's done Itachi is dead meat.

Itachi's only weapon that can work against Jiraiya is Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi and Jiraiya either uses a smoke cloud or bunshin feints it.

For Jiraiya to defeat Itachi, he would have to pull a lot of tricks from his magic hat. But for Itachi, even at 3 Tomoe level, it's a fairly easy affair. A simple Sharingan genjutsu would be the end of him. When genjutsu specialists like Orochimaru and Kurenai fell before it and couldn't counter it in any manner, Jiraiya would be defeated fairly easily. It really is a 3T genjutsu GG affair. Simple as that. Jiriaya is clearly overrated to high heaven here.

Summoning a clone isn't a counter to it as he could simply do this to kill the clone and Jiraiya.

You act as if it matters how many he summons, cause once the real Jiraiya is dead the clones go bye bye along with him. Not like he'd be able to summon clones in the first place.

Jiraiya has chakra comparable to that of Naruto in base - who makes 1000 clones on a regular basis - not to mention he's in SM, hence more, stronger clones.

Apart from that, there's also smokescreen.

And Tsukuyomi/Amaterasu aren't instant, either of them. The fact that Nagato and Zetsu were talking about the technique shows it has a buildup time which Jiraiya can use to plan accordingly.

Let's also not forget SM Jiraiya's shunshin speed which was able to blitz Pain twice.

You lack common sense then. How is MS Itachi better? Jiraiya is stronger, more durable, has more stamina, better with seals, is a better summoner, and has Sage Art. Itachi is faster.

Naruto can make 1000 clones with the Kyuubi's chakra, not with his own base chakra.

What kind of smokescreen? If its one generated by a ninja tool Sharingan will be able to see right through it, if its one generated by Ma and Pa then they'd first have to know Amaterasu is coming (Which they have no way of knowing) then they'd have to spit out enough of the dust to cover Jiraiya completely, those things aren't happening when Amaterasu spawns instead of travels.

The build up time for Amaterasu is useless for Jiraiya if he doesn't know about it. If he doesn't know about it he can't take advantage of it. Not to mention said build up time only occurs once and it isn't even long enough to make a difference.

Itachi builds it up for the first use.

So if Jiraiya manages to save himself from the first hit, the second one will get him as there will be no build up for him to exploit.

And he'll eventually have to come out from the cloud if he wants to fight Itachi. Then he'll end up getting hit by Tsukuyomi, which he can't break. Lets not forget he doesn't know not to look at Itachi's fingers, so Finger Genjutsu could stun him bit allowing Itachi to finish him.

There's also the fact he can't get past Susanoo.

Let's also not forget SM Jiraiya's shunshin speed which was able to blitz Pain twice.

Not gonna help if he's going to opt to dodge Amaterasu with speed.

Yeah, cause it's not like it only takes less than a second to activate MS...

Why would Jiraiya even start off with clones in the first place? He doesn't know about Amaterasu so him adopting a strategy to counter it at the beginning of the match isn't happening.
