Is Jiraya> Itachi if they went head to head without retreating from the battle?

Itachi vs Jiraya as themselves, Itachi without mangekyo and jiraya without sage mode, I'll say jiraya wins. Itachi has speed and strength, but against giant toads and Jiraya's abilities, it would pail in comparison. Itachi with mangekyo, without using sussano, it would be more difficult, but still, Jiraya wouldn't have trouble sealing Amaterasu if it hit any of his toads or himself, and he would be using this time to summon the 2 great sages. Itachi would be forced to use sussano, his genjutsu wouldn't work, and his Amaterasu would only counter so much of Jiraya's attacks until he is caught off guard from the after effects and is engulfed in fire. Itachi using sussano vs Jiraya Sage mode.

Itachi does have shishuis eye jutsu, but jiraya also has the 2 toad sages genjutsu. Pick up from here.Who would win from here. Or have your own analysis.

why is itachi without his MS? not that he needs it though, a simple paralysis genjutsu would be more than enough.

Why without MS. Anyway why would his genjutsu not work. I agree without MS jiriaya probably will win 7/10 times but with both using the two abilities you have excluded Itachi wins 10/10. Jiraiya might be able to evade Ama with the speed boost and sensing abilities of sage mode but he will have to get in sage mode first and itachi does not have to allow him that grace. And at the end of the day jiraiya has no defense against susanoo and no offense that we know of while where at it. Itachi is top ten while jiraiya is top 20

heck, 3 tomoe itachi owned oro, and he had a 5 in genjutsu.

Jiraiya has a 3 in genjutsu.

Itachi admitted this when he was also pretending to hate his village of origin but is actually one of its greatest heroes. Kabuto also could not pass the chunin exams. Should we assume that he could never pass them or that he did not want to pass them.

i think you didn't see the fight between hanjos right hand or left hand (i forgot the name) and jiraya... hanjos right hand or left hand used genjustu on j and said even someone like legendary sanin j couldn't able to get out of this genjustu but he got out of genjustu okkkk...

and she is kurenai and this is jiraya ... never compare him with kurenai

Even with MS itachi loses.Genjutsu wont work on Sage Jiraya cause of Ma and Pa,Summons can buy enough time for Ma's and Pa's Genjutsu which is superior since it doesnt rely on eye contact and has an aoe.
