itachi would be an amazing Hokage, he was devoted to his village, peace visionary, strong, and willing to do anything for peace and ways to good solution, in my opinion yes he would be and AMAZING HOKAGE

Itach proved to be Hokage material through strength but not through his character.

He had the same basic ideals as Danzo, sacrificing others to protect the Leaf. It's cool and all but all the past Kages, and ninjas who are kage material do not share that ideal. They would sacrifice themselves before a loved one, teammate, friend or fellow ninja.

Think of all the past Hokages and kage material ninjas who have done that: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, tsunade, Kakashi and naruto. There are others but concept of self sacrifice to protect the leaf is far more important ideal for a kage to have over sacrificing others to protect the Leaf.

Itachi did not make a great decision killing his whole clan IMO. Imagine what Naruto would have done in Itachis situation. Naruto would have found a way for peace between the village and his clan whereas the "genius" Itachi didn't.

Well i think for Itachi killing his entire clan including family is self sacrificing, so that would put him under ur list?

Don't get me wrong, he would be a great hokage in his 30s, but just not that young. And of course he would need EMS to actually manage to stick to his position as a hokage after he gets it.

Sasuke was the same age when Shisui was killed and when the massacre happened. 6 years old. so no you are wrong. shisuis death and masscre of the clan were relatively close

Well Sasuke had joined the academy when the masscre happenned. Itachi had joined it at age of 7 and passed at 8. You are saying that he joined it at 6 and took 6 years to pass it, along with Naruto(who failed in it thrice).

I thought , in anime they commented that Itachi had returned to konoha after 3 years when he made an appearance after Sarutobi's death.

Off course... I won't expect him to be a hokage at 13-16!!

He certainly lacked enough experience to deal with likes of Mdaras, Danzou or for that matter his clan properly. He did his best, though. IMO with time he would have learnt not to depend on his MS too much to keep his eye sight. His crow genjutsu was not related with MS but, quite strong. With his talent he could learn more skills.

you know i really think that the leaf needs a uchiha hokage. Just so they can get passed that barrier of uchihas cant be hokage...bc i think once they get passed that obstacle they Konoha will be a much peaceful place with the Uchihas and they wont have to worry about all the problems.
