sometimes u need a harsh hokage. one who would protect the village at any costYes he would be a good hokage, but his ways are harsh
i dont think so. Itachi doesnt even seem to be leader material.Itachi might have aquired the position of Hokage in time. He could have challanged for the position and proven himself.
Itachi made supreme personal sacrfices... It wouldn't help if he had committed suicide and let his clan commit coup d etate and all that. Only thing he refused to sacrifice was Sasuke and he seeked Sarutobi and then Naruto to help him save Sasuke.
Naruto has a different background, different personality and different abilities. Comparing apple with oranges is of no use.
like you said Sarutobi was againt the genocide of the Uchiha. but Danzo and Itachi who shared ideals werent. Danzo was not a favored Hokage in the eyes of his village and even the other Kages. because of his ideals and methods. Itachi was not much different.Keep in mind that the acting Hokage at the time was Sarutobi Hiruzen, and he was against the elders and Danzou's view that they needed to wipe out the Uchiha. Itachi had seen war, knew it was hell, and knew allowing the Uchiha to revolt would leave the entire village vulnerable to other countries invading. He was only maybe 16? He was manipulated to an extent, and to the other extent faced an impossible choice. Usually, it's not the soldiers who are condemned for such acts; rather, it's the leaders. I understand what you're getting at though.
Power wise, I have no question that at the time of Tsunade's coma he would've been a superior choice to either Danzou or Kakashi.
However, Itachi does have some character issues. First, to be as powerful as he was, he killed his best friend Shisui. Second, if he was to continue as Hokage he'd need to see (i.e. EMS); thus, he'd need to take Sasuke's eyes after awakening Sasuke's MS. If he was healthy, he could've done it easily. Instead, he prolonged the battle to remove Orochimaru, implant Ameratsu, and awaken Sasuke's MS.
I think people might wonder how he got such nice eyes. However, only the Uchiha would know, among those who knew of the tablet. But it may become public knowledge as he's more visible as a Hokage, than ANBU or Akatsuki. That's a concern. I do believe he'd die for Konoha though, without a second thought. Consider the life he accepted, which was his own hell.
A visually impaired, near death, Itachi kept Madara from touching Konoha both do to agreement, and I doubt Madara had any desire to fight him knowing he was dying at that such a fight would be costly (partially that Madara needed him alive to awaken Sasuke's MS and for his eyes -> Sasuke's EMS). Sasuke is obviously much easier to manipulate.
You have a point and Itachi might have been more of a Danzou kind than Sarutobi. But I feel that he never got a chance to develope his personality under right circumstances. He was passifist by nature. He avoided fighting unless he must and then tried to end it as quickly as possible. So I doubt he would be as bad as Danzou.Keep in mind that the acting Hokage at the time was Sarutobi Hiruzen, and he was against the elders and Danzou's view that they needed to wipe out the Uchiha. i doubt Itachi really cared to tell anybody of Madara's presence. and i dont Danzo had a seal on Itachi to keep him from talking. if he did than how would Itachi blackmail Danzo by threatning to tell the Leaf's secrets to rival villages? remember he returned to the Leaf after Sarutobi died? You have a point and Itachi might have been more of a Danzou kind than Sarutobi. But I feel that he never got a chance to develope his personality under right circumstances. He was passifist by nature. He might have realised Danzou's sefishness when he found out that he didn't share details about Madara. Sai's tounge seal makes me wonder if Itachi had one like that stopping him from telling Sarutobi details about Danzou's plans.
He certainly tried to control Danzou and Madara as much as he could.
He was around 11 and a half when Shisui died. Shisui was certainly older and was quite a friend and brotherly and at the same time keeping an eye on him for the clan.I don't know abot Itachi but if I found out the person I thought was my friend was hanging out with me on clan's orders I would dump him.
He was a little over 13 at the time of Uchiha massacre. As he joined ambu at the age of 11 and was made captain at 13. He might have been genious as a shinobi but, he still lacked experience and was a young. He got surounded by likes of Danzou and Madara who were more interested in manipulating him than guiding him.
Itachi, Nagato etc were nothing but a wasted talent.
I won't argue about the rest because it's based on speculations and opinions. Do we know when Root originated? How long and in how many ways Danzou did his recruiting ? That bolded part contradicts itself as it is.i doubt Itachi really cared to tell anybody of Madara's presence. and i dont Danzo had a seal on Itachi to keep him from talking. if he did than how would Itachi blackmail Danzo by threatning to tell the Leaf's secrets to rival villages? remember he returned to the Leaf after Sarutobi died?
and Danzo was in charge of Root Anbu. not all of Anbu. Itachi was not in the Root Division. the Root Anbus start off from when they are born to be in it like Sai and his brother, whereas the regular Anbus once where regular ninjas etc Yamato, Kakashi and Itachi
Itachi didnt try to control Danzo or Madara. they obviously were in control of him. all Itachi could do was blackmail them.
Shisui's death was fairly close to the time of the massacre of Uchihas.. if you noticed Sasuke was relatively the same age at both Shisui's death and Uchiha massacre. i'd estimate Itachi was about 15-18 when he killed his clan...
Please elaborate because all we have seen from Itachi is helping helping and again helping Konoha for his own life. How for the love good, he won't be a good Hokage ?itachi would suck as a hokage, no offense@@!!!
Sasuke was the same age when Shisui was killed and when the massacre happened. 6 years old. so no you are wrong. shisuis death and masscre of the clan were relatively closeI won't argue about the rest because it's based on speculations and opinions. Do we know when Root originated? How long and in how many ways Danzou did his recruiting ? That bolded part contradicts itself as it is.
Shisui's death was way before the Massacre. Itachi passed academy at the age of 8.He was selected in Ambu at the age of 11. After 6 months Shisui died. Itachi was made captain at 13. Massacre took plce some time after that.
Naruto was already 11 when the series starts I think. I will check out the manga. But since Itachi was too young at the time of hokage's death and not yet in academy it means he was less than 7.
So It's more likely that Itachi was around 17-18 when he returned to Konoha after Sarutobi's death..
if Anub says Itachi isnt Hokage material than thats how you know he isnt.not a hokage material. not at that age anyway...
oh yes he is hokage materialnot a hokage material. not at that age anyway...
