Smh no. Apple and orange is sasuke and naruto. This is not one of them. Amaterasu did little good against the kages, it was mostly susanoo doing the work, itachi had a superior susanoo at the time, is smarter, fast react feats with speed and has usage with shadow and clone crows w/ gen. There is no reason itachi should have a harder time even with lower stamina.

Itachi has Tsukuyomi, which is cast by eye contact and only broken by Uchiha. Yes, no one can break that. But against Kage who van battle that, that's something not easy to pull off IMO.

But I digress. I don't have an opinion on this debate. There's no reason to believe that knowing about Uchiha's eye capabilities helps at all.
Gai and Kabuto are the only ones who can canonically fight without eye contact for certain. Orochimaru knew not to, and he was trapped twice. Deidara knew not to, and he was caught 3 times (iirc), Minato knew not to, but he looked in Obito's eyes multiple times, Cee also had intimate knowledge of Itachi's abilities, yet fell for Sasuke's genjutsu.
The point is knowledge and experience don't mean shit if you don't have Gai's or Kabuto's abilities. But I don't care enough to respond further, this is not my fight.

I'm not sure if you caught on yet, but most of these amazing feats against sharingan users is usually when they rarely if not at all used genjutsu in battle. and when they finally decide to use their weak genjutsu, it drastically changes the fight into their favor. itachi is not one of those users, his gen is more consistently used and is strong. in his bout against kakashi and naruto, the fight ends relatively fast and that was just itachi with 3T (no killing intent). susanoo w/ genjutsu should be enough to take them out in time. I'm not saying itachi could take them all out at once, i'm simply saying in the same circumstances sasuke was in, itachi should be able to successfully put it off. he made a joke out of 3 elite jounins with just genjutsu and shadow clone, I can't even imagine what a serious killing intent itachi is capable of.
