How strong is this version of Itachi?

I don't think he will last long against someone like Jiraya in his prime. Even though he has great techniques and jutsus doesn't necessarily mean he's stronger than kages. It's like telling us that genjutsus are the most powerful jutsus; for instance, the Tsukuyomi. Just because Itachi's weaknesses aren't very clear to many people, alot of fanboys and fangirls overrate Itachi.

Even before Itachi had said that him and Kisame would have a hard time beating Jiraya. Itachi is smart and very powerful but he lacks stamina. Same with Kakashi having a limited amount of chakra used on Raikiri or other demaning jutsus like Kamui. Yes, his abilities was weakened while he was sick, but that still doesn't change the fact that his stamina is very bad.

Jiraya is highly ranked in the ninja databook where you can see that almost all of his attributes are high af. Whereas Itachi is only lacking in stamina, ranked 2,5 out of 5 => and jiraya 5 out of 5.

Tactically said, i still think Itachi is lacking just beacuse of his limited stamina, which is very important (just look at kakashi how many times he had problems).

Ps. why he was so freaking strong during edo tensei is because he had infinite chakra.

How strong is Itachi if he just depends on his own abilities?

That means no yata, totsuka, or KA.

Honestly, he hasn't really relied on either one of those against higher leveled opponents, so he'd still be a Solid High Kage Level Ninja IMO.
