I eat fairly well: plenty of whole grains, fruits and veggies, protein from both meat and non-meat sources etc. But I do eat some pretty salty and greasy foods at times...Actually, quite a few times lately. I walk a lot and sometimes workout; I am just inconsistent with the latter, and that mostly has to do with my fluctuating levels of motivation I suppose :p The other area that I can definitely improve on is sleep--I am also very inconsistent with that, specifically the times I go to sleep.

Eating, sleeping and exercising well is good, but health is more than just the absence of disease. Taking care of our emotional/psychological and spiritual health is important too. We may engage in activities that most would agree, if done over a long period of time anyway, are detrimental to our physical health, however some of these things, if done occasionally, may actually (indirectly) improve the other domains of health. I think it really is all about balance. Anyway, before I go on a tangent, I also spend time with people I care about and confide in those I trust when I am feeling stressed or when I feel like I am in trouble. Oh, and making sure that the people around me are well is important to me too; their well-being is one of the key things that makes me happy. I also perform various breathing exercises before going into situations that I anticipate are going to be stressful or demanding. And I make sure to cut out some quiet/alone time for myself so that I can reflect on and process some of the events that occur in my life and also to ‘recharge’. I used to do Tai Chi and meditate regularly, but not anymore--they are definitely things I would like to revisit someday. I think there are more things that I do in regards to health promotion and maintenance, but this is all I can think of right now :p

i eat terribly but luckily my metabolism is super high. like i rarely eat vegetables unless its already mixed in with the dish or meal or if a lot will be thrown away/wasted. i eat pasta, sweets, spicy and fried foods all the time. i take advantage of my high metabolism and definitely surprise people with how i can put away food. i also get older people telling me "enjoy it while your young". so i shall and to the fullest, ill worry about that if i make it to old age

but one good thing i have done through my life health wise is drink lots of water. not only so my vocals wont be dried out and cracked but i genuinely like the taste. its about the only thing i drink besides shakes, smoothies, and tea. doesnt even have to be cold, i dont like hot water but room temperature or even a little warm still taste good to me and it's the only thing that can really refresh me

Ohh! Really nice! You are doing a great job in taking care of yourself! :) You are right when you said that it's in the balance. Like when some diet (including you to not eat your fave food, you might crave for it even more hence crash dieting which doesn't really help when it comes into dieting) But by proper balance, you get to eat what you like (in moderation) and at the same time still eat 'proper' diet. Keep it up!!!

Pokémon Go keeps me in shape.
Ohh.. just be careful in walking around LOL

Sit on my ass and play video games, eat, drink, sleep and repeat.
tsk tsk tsk... LOL :lmao:

to help you further, please see:

>Play video games while planking or squatting XD
>Play video games while eating peanuts, salad, fruits, and tuna sandwich XDXD
>Play video games while drinking fruit shake, tea, lemon infused water XDXDXD
REPEAT

I don't really pay attention to my diet but I drink alot of water and exercise.

I rarely eat fast food but I love ice cream.
Good!! Water + Exercise + No to Fast Food + Yes to Ice cream (once a week LOL) = Healthy Body :Sparks:

Yep, when you're young it's really ok not to follow any dieting or exercise program because of high metabolism and high energy... but when you get older - all the things your doing/lifestyle will eventually show and you will reap what you sow.

Sometimes, when I drink too much water I hate the taste of it... it's bland! HAHAHA! So it surprised me that you find it... err... tasty.

Oh no! I think it's associated in my eyes too :( huhu but I don't like wearing glasses... and contacts.
but yea, it has to be consistent-
You dont have a choice if it is eye related because the more you delay it the more it worsens. It worsens to the point you will have to wear spects for everything and you wont be to see stuff without it. You should get it checked soon.

For me it was obvious that the my migraines my were eye related because I sat most of time in a day sitting in front of laptop and my left eye would hurt with a headache. When I went to check they did some tests, I could read things on board so I thought my vision is fine it must be something else and they were trying to sell spects to me but then wearing spects my headaches were gone.

OH MY... :S I actually keep on postponing it because I really don't want to wear glasses... it feels old and looks old :T_T: but yes, you are right. I should get. NOW.

My job as an editor, is the same like that~ sitting all day in the office for 8-6hrs and on weekends I love to read books and crochet. So it really strains my eyes

or doing a healthy lifestyle?

I recently got sick… because of my migraine and asthma. Those two are incurable but preventable diseases. To be able to live a full life without having to worry if I’m going to get sick and attacked by these sickness anytime of the day, I must prevent it’s trigger. But sometimes… I don’t just because. So I suffer from its consequences. It really sucks, because there would be days when I feel really happy and energized and then for some time I will feel dizzy, my head aches, and vomit… and should take at least a day to recover again.

Also, we have a family history of diabetes and kidney problems XD LOL so really, if I don’t want it to get worse - I should practice a healthy lifestyle huhu. So…

Here’s my top 5 to-do’s for a healthy lifestyle.

1. Think positive thoughts
2. Get enough rest
3. Drink plenty of water
4. Eat more fruits and veggies
5. Move and sweat a lot

What’s yours?
I've had a surgical operation which went bad. It closed all the possibilities for me to attend the gym or do my martial arts. This problem slowly started to create infections near the area (years after). Now It's fixed, but I'm still not allowed to do sports or whatever for another 2 years. In total it's been 10 years since I'm denied of any sport.

I had lots of depressive days and nights ... Horrible nights where I thought that's the end because of the pain and that I didn't know what's happening cuz no doctor wanted to check it out since they usually don't go in to another doctor's work... Anyway it's more complicated than what i've said here.

What I suggest is:
1. Create a healthy mentality because sometimes we lack a good mentality over things.
2. Lots of water.
3. Believe that everything is cureable.
4. Do whatever is out of your comfort zone to try and fix your problems.
5. A teaspoon of "Swedish bitter" everyday (Made of plants very healthy it is known for fixing a lot of internal problems).
6. Carbamazepin - 200mg / one pill a day. ( Many issues although we are not aware of come from a way too stressed brain and organism. I went through many doctors that couldn't fix a problem of mine. Until one day a met a doctor who approached the situation different and he fixed me with only 4 pills(4days) of carbamazepin.. Haha... Suffered 1 and a half year to get fixed in less than a week...

So, it doesn't matter if you think you that you are too relaxed(maybe it's just what we make ourselfs believe) get a receipt from the family med for carbamazepin if your life styles are full of action... Not all people respond to stress in the same way.
