I don't care for One Piece.
it's my pleasure really U_U
1. OP fights almost always have a deep reason behind it. There's rarely an OP fight that simply starts because some people feel like fighting. The story behind the OP fights, the reasons that OP fights happen are what makes them so enjoyable. And lately, Naruto has been "Big jutsu, meet my bigger jutsu". Or did you miss where Juubi was creating storms to clear out entire battlefields? Or Hashi's Bhudda? Or Madara's giant mountain busting Susano'o?
2. Because OP hasn't put stress on racism, ethics, discrimination, eugenics, war, poverty, corrupt politics, drug abuse, or freedom right? Naruto repeats the same themes throughout, OP has a new theme almost every arc.
3. The "villains" in OP do have a reason for being evil. Unlike Naruto, where the villains are usually for internal emotional reasons, a lot of the OP villains are there for external logical reasons. For example, any pirate crew that's looking for One Piece are potential villains because that's Luffy's goal. The Marines are opposed to Pirates because Pirates go against their ideals and it's their job to contest and stop them. And if there's anything OP lacks, it ain't backstory.
Also, as Doffy stressed during the Marineford War, there is no real concept of "good" or "evil" in the OP world. It's just different ideals cause people to clash and these clashes can determine the fate of the entire world. That's much better than simple good vs evil because it makes you think about who is truly right. If it was just plain good vs evil, you could say "Yeah, I want good to win." But when it's a clash of ideals, that simple one dimension thinking is thrown out the window. That's way more reflective of the real world than good vs evil. Does Naruto have that? yes, but not as much as OP.
One Piece > Naruto , deal with it !![]()
Oda. Everyone plays so sort of role in the story. The entirety of the crew takes part in a battle. They aren't reduced to one panel every fourth manga in a battle. He also expands on his characters, both main and side. Plus the OPuniverse is a lot more in depth and expansive. Its just so much cooler. However I believe that of the big three, Kubo has emerged as the best. He somehow managed to make everything that ever happened in the manga to be relevant in the last arc. Ichigo's past is explained and Aizen comes off as more badass. Kubo>Oda>Kishi
OP universe is a lot bigger because of it's plot. Oda has to bring more characters in if he has to show the competition and keep the sense of adventure maintained. In Naruto it doesn't move the story much and people want to go back to plot.
But you are kidding yourself if you think each and every person will be at the same level in the end. They will have their individual role but even in SH crew not all of them will be on the same level.
Both are interesting in their own way and their story line an style is too different to compare. Leave it at that. Such threads hardly ever do any good.
@Op:
Isn't it obvious? People like different things. Oda's style is capturing for many as it's rather light and fun and if you like adventure stories it's there.
All the fights have a reason in both mangas. But it's funny you criticize Naruto for the same thing as in OP or many other manga out there.
The fights in OP are no better - my punch is bigger than your punch.
What new theme? He is saving someone with his awesome punch in every arc and making friends( nakama is just another word for friend/comrade. Half the arcs are about saving the damsels in distress.
There are always an aspect of emotional reasons.
Interest, curiosity,Alarm, panic, Attraction, desire, admiration , Aversion, disgust, revulsion, Surprise, amusement indifference, familiarity, habituation, Hope Fear Gratitude, thankfulness Anger, rage
Joy, elation, triumph, jubilation sorrow, grief Relief frustration, disappointment
Self-appraisal Pride in achievement, self-confidence, sociability Embarrassment, shame, guilt, remorse
Generosity Avarice, greed, miserliness, envy, jealousy Sympathy Cruelty love Hate
Do you mean to tell me that OP lacks these things? Really? Then what is about? Mathematical derivation of pie?
I don't think so. It's just a different kind of plot. The genre being adventure action.
I agree. Also jut putting it out there this theme of grey area is common in many the mangas of this genre.
Relax and think of better argument next time if you feel like posting.

Yes, I suppose it is easier to give shitty insults than rebuttal.OP fans are getting buthurt
Oh no, we know the Monster Trio is faaar ahead of the rest. But, their main uses lie outside of battle and they all have provided a significant role time and time again, so we're fine with the M3 outclassing them in battle.@Bold, sadly they fail to realize how bad Luffy out does the rest of the straw hats. And how much stronger Zoro is than the rest of them (fans will try to put Sanji on Zoro's level, but that is a simple fail).
Lets me start by saying this i'm up to date with One piece,so don't bring me that you're not Caught Up with the
manga.BS
The reason i think kishi is beter writer is because of this;
1:The fight's: Is not about who can punch the hardest or destroy the most but strategy
i have never seen someone been taking out with a random punch or kick expect for fodders.
One piece
This is what happens almost everytime in one piece expect from the Moria/Oars vs the Strawhat fight.
2:The story: everything that has to do with real life problems you can find it in naruto, struggles, being left out,Politic,
weakness,family,relationships,......
One piece has it too but not as much as naruto:|
3:villains: every villan has a reason for being evil and a backstory to back it up.
in one piece you're evil for the sake of being evil:vincent:
4:Logic: Naruto is a manga that try's to make sense of something that exist in this world but with overreaction
like the concept of chakra is more believable than a fruit.
I never tought one piece will go downhill, arlong park, marine ford arc and usopp arc, sanji arc those where the days.
to bad oda killed my favo ace:T_T:
1. I wasn't saying OP isn't a battle of power. From the very beginning, OP was mostly you win if you're a stronger better fighter or you have more resilience or stronger abilities. And that's been consistent throughout the series. However, it doesn't completely lack tactics. Weaker fighters like Usopp and Nami continuously win their fights by using brains over brawn.
The thing with Naruto is, Naruto started with tactics mixed with brawn, and that was power. However, as the series progressed, that lessened and lessened. C'mon, we went from Kakashi using Zabuza's mist against him and having his ninja dogs smell out his blood on Zabuza's sword to sneak him to Naruto and Bee just machine gunning Bijuu Bombs at the Juubi and the Juubi creating a mini-Armageddon. Kishi has become inconsistent with his power scale. He's trying to bring in some tactic again with Shika, but it isn't working.
2. So I gotta run down the list? I'm a bit fuzzy with the older arcs, so bear with me.
1. The arc where Luffy recruited Zoro first gave us a taste of the theme of corrupt politics, where the warden was abusing his position, lied to and was going to unjustly execute Zoro.
2. The Arlong Park arc dealt with the concept of freedoms, displayed by Arlong acting as a tyrant and "false saviour" to Nami's village.
3. The Drum Island arc dealt with the themes of rejection and loss of loved ones.
3. Alabasta dealt with corruption in organizations and fighting for those who couldn't fight for themselves. It also dealt with the theme of civil war.
4. Skypeia, in the form of Enel, dealt with the theme of abusing power, as Enel believed himself to be God and that gave him to right to kill as he pleased. The part with Jaya touched on the concept of fighting for your dreams, no matter how stupid they may seem to others.
5. We don't talk about Long Ring Island arc
6. The CP9 Saga touched on war a bit with Luffy declaring war on the World Government. Also, it first touched on the theme of an evil government and justice, as it showed how far they were willing to go(blowing up one of their HQ's)to get what they want.
7. Saboady whatever touched on slavery, showing the evil of the auction house. It also touched on the theme of losing your loved ones with the Strawhat separation.
8. Impel Down touched on brotherhood, as it showed how far Luffy was willing to go for Ace.
9. Marineford touched on the theme of eugenics, as the Government's reasons for wanting to kill Ace and Luffy were predominantly on what their parents did, and not what they themselves did. It brought up the theme of "A newborn child bears no sins".
10. Fishman Island dealt with the themes of racism and discrimination, as well as drug abuse.
11. Punk Hazard dealt with ethics, in the form of CC experimenting on kids.
12. Dressrosa is dealing with corrupt rules, as shown with Joker and how he came to rule.
Naruto's themes have always been loneliness is a b*tch, pain is inevitable, but enduring and overcoming it, as well as unity, is the key to peace.
There was the whole destiny doesn't determine who you are, but Child of Prophecy anyway?
There was talent over hard work. But, where's Lee compared to Sasuke again? Yeah, Naruto worked hard, but an oasis of power sealed inside of you kinda helps, doesn't it?
1. Punch the hardest?? I think you're thinking about Fairy Tail
I guess you never heard of zoro or shanji or Usopp etc.
2. OP has racism, ethics, discrimination, eugenics, war, poverty, corrupt politics, drug abuse, and slavery Naruto repeats the same themes throughout the series while OP has a new theme almost every arc.
3. Better villains?!?!
Lmao Lol I almost cried laughing when I heard that.....
You have a villain that went rough because his crush died plz tell me more on how naruto has better villains and like DD said they don't have good or evil in OP it's just what you believe in....
4. Logic??? Chakra better than fruit?!?!? Well how did chakra originate in naruto?!?!? Yep that's right a fuucking fruit
