That interview has ben translated over and over by many people it still says Hinata not Sakura in Kishi point of view no error was involve Sakura being in team 7 lead Her to the position. Had Tenten,Ino,Hinata or some other female ben put on the same team as Naruto they would have had the spotlight. But for early love interest Sakura luck out over Ino,Sakura got Her chance at Sasuke even if it started so troublesome for both.

Evidence says Sakura still wants Sasuke not Naruto, and opinion dose not beat evidence. Evidence is what matters. Sakura did not turn down that Shinobi for Naruto but for Sasuke. Sakura is not saying Naruto-Kun it's Sasuke-Kun.

Main character of Naruto is Naruto.
Sakura is the main heroine. I consider her a main character.
And even if she was not, other characters should still get powerups.
If mains only get power ups Naruto would just fall.

The only positive interaction with the two is when Sasuke smiled at her for killing the Juubi fodder and saved her from getting attacked by them. Unlike SasuSaku. Naruto actually makes Sakura stronger throughout the course of the series. After Naruto brought out her Inner Sakura she now had enough confidence to say what she wants to say out loud instead of bottling it up inside. Hahah wrong. Hinata was alway intended to be Naruto's love interest and Sakura was made after HINATA and to add on she was made for Sasuke, yes she was. Both of the girls during their first appearance showed interest in Sasuke and Naruto.
Hinata showed she had a crush on Naruto
Sakura showed she had a crush on Sasuke.
Sakura was not made for Naruto.
If she was "made" for Naruto then their feelings for eachother shouldn't still be lounging around in the friend-zone status seeing how much time they spend together and what do NS fans say they go on dates? Yeah.
The only reason NS has such a strong bond really is because they both shared the same goals for sasuke, i bet you if sasuke never left the village, their bond wouldn't be as good as it is now.
Why? Because Sasuke gets all the b-tches.

The only way i can see NS becoming canon is if Sakura magically gets over sasuke, meaning she is no longer in love with the guy and Hinata's feelings are pushed aside and never being acknowledged. I can't imagine Naruto saying " I know your deeply in love with me and all but i'm going to be with sakura now " and i don't see Sakura saying " Oh yeah, I use to be so in love with sasuke but now i want Naruto" .___. well not exactly like that but that's how im going to read it lol.
