Okay so in Hygua Japanese Mythology, there is a tale about Konohanasakuya-hime - the cherry blossom (blossom) princess. (Sakura is basically a princess, or will become one like her master and maybe that will be her name the cherry blossom princess) anyway...She is the princess of mouth Fuji and is said to protect the village from volcanos erupting and what not. She fell in love with Ninigi-no-Mikoto grandson of Amaterasu, sent dont to earth to plant rice and to pacify Japan by bringing the three celestial gifts used by the emperor.

Sakura = Konohanasakuya-Hime (Flower princess/ goddess)
- They both represent life (Sakura being the normal girl)
- Both symbol is a cherry blossom
- Konohanasakuya rules mouth fuji, her best friend (Ino) family happens to decend from a lake found there
- Konohanasakuya was to bring her husband prosperity, (Sakura is a medic doesn't get any better than that)
- Tsunade is like Sakura sister she can represent the eldest sister (see below)
- Representation of beauty and transient life
- symbol of delicate earthly life whose image is that of the sakura, and goddess of Mount Fuji (Sounds like Sakura with her getting saved all of the time)
Tsunade = Rock Princess
- She was the older sister of Konohansakuya
- She and Tsunade represents Rocks (the Sanin) her abilities.
- Both are immortal in a sense.
- The sister resides in Youkai Mountain, which is very reminiscent of the Slug kingdom.
- Goddess of immortality, she is the only immortal like one (Hidan doesn't count he is a shinigami)
The sister's story
Iwanagahime is a goddess of immortality and the older sister of Konohana-Sakuyahime. Long ago, the two sisters held a contest to see whether Fuji or Yatsugatake was taller. Yatsugatake won, but Sakuya couldn't stand there being a mountain higher than hers, so she broke apart Yatsugatake. However, since Iwanaga was tired of her sister's attitude, she moved to Yatsugatake, causing Fuji's inextinguishable flame to disappear since Iwanaga had control of the unchanging.
Saskue= Ninji
- Grandson of Amaterasu
- Amaterasu have uchia roots
- Ninji was sent to Pacify the emperors 3 gifts, Saskue sort of did that with Itachi's 3 Sasunoo weapon gifts.
- Not many connection needed to know that he is Saskue.
Ninji and Konohana feel in love with each other, he asked her father for her hand in marrige,The father agreed but sent both of his daughters to marry him. He only wanted Konohana because he didn't love Iwanagahime (she was ugly & Tsunade is old and under that seal of hers lol, by a goddess standards). The father was enraged and he said that Ninji descendants would lack immortality because he reject the eldest sister. ( And we all know if Saskue and Uchia had a baby if would be more powerful than if Saskue and Sakura had one - though there baby would be powerful too).
Now Sakura powerup (yin seal related)
This part may not be from mythology but I'll mention it anyway...i think it's a game based on mythology. Naruto came up in 1997 but this Touhou Project was created in 96 Kishi could have been inspried by it.
Sakura is a skilled medical nin and in the story and elixir was created the Hourai Elixir, with the power to manipulate eternity.Anyone who drinks this forbidden elixir will cease to age, never become ill, and will never be able to die, maybe her yin seal will act like this, though this can be more Hidan related.
Connection to Tsunade's yin and possible Sakura's
-The first taste of the medicine makes the drinker incapable of growing up or aging.
Probably the first jutsu Tsunade use with her yinseal
-The second taste makes them incapable of becoming ill.
Tsunade creation rebirth, and her healing
-The third taste makes one completely immortal to the truest sense
Strength of 100
Now as for Sakura's powerup
It not only keeps one immortal, but makes one an existence completely independent of even the concept of reality, thus making one not subject to the bounds of life, death, or even manipulation, although the pain of injuries can still be felt.
This could mean her gen jutsu power resistant having something to do with genjutsu.
Sakura and Saskue can also be reflective to the character Eirin Yagokoro is a medical genius, and Lord Tsukuyomi.
