i knew you would say that lol, while its true what you say, its also true that hashirama was able to defeat the kyubi in a straight fight which says something about how tough he was, also hashirama may have been famous for his wood release, but he also knew a ton of dangerous jutsus! - you ever heard of the first hokage's scrolls, even oro stole jutsus from him

madara beats itachi, itachi beats orochimaro, orochimaro beats hiruzen, and hashirama beats madara!!, so i'd say hes the King!!

I agree with you about him knowing diffrent dangerous jutsu and the scrolls.. But had that match been hiruzen vs orochimaru (no edo's) orochimaru would have lost.. And i only bring that up because you say oro vs itachi but there were no edo's involed in that battle..

I agree with you about him knowing diffrent dangerous jutsu and the scrolls.. But had that match been hiruzen vs orochimaru (no edo's) orochimaru would have lost.. And i only bring that up because you say oro vs itachi but there were no edo's involed in that battle..

itachi would have still won if there were edos, he would have used the sword of totsuka to seal them

hiruzen was called the god of shinobi because he mastered the 5 ways of a ninja and was the strongest ninja during his era in the hidden leaf village but now he's not the strongest ninja.

The sad fact is people on these forums tend to side with hype (example of its defintion: "Promote or publicize (a product or idea) intensively, often exaggerating its importance or benefits.") or they make generalizations about characters with A > B > C logic. Often thinking characters who get showcased are suddenly way better than they actually are.

This is media for god's sake, when writing something of this genre you aren't going to suddenly start making character's weaker or at the same strength level they have been all manga. That would be stupid, instead you write them stronger and more "badass" then they should be.

A prime example of this is Zabuza and many of the other Edo shinobi brought back. They showed Zabuza just plowing his way through numerous chuunin and jounin shinobi, same with others. Both Kakashi and Zabuza were very similarly matched in terms of skill and "level" in part one which is that of an upperclass jounin. To think someone like that could suddenly take on entire squads of ninja that are equal to his rank or "level" is silly. They clearly illustrated him stronger to make it more interesting.

If Hiruzen was re-introduced into the series, edo or not you would see some amazing feats and combat. Does that make him stronger than the first? Who knows honestly, we would have to see for ourselves. My guess is he probably wouldn't be but I'll wait to see some evidence before just blindly giving into hype, it's just too sheepish.
