People forget how old he was when he fought Orochimaru. Dude, he ****ing beat the first two Hokages in Edo form!!! WTF!!!! If that isn't enough proof then you're dumb. And remember, Orochimaru went into that fight at full power. We all know even Sasuke said the only reason he killed Orochimaru was because of his weakened state. On top of this, he had the hidden grass sword **** ****ed through his ****ing sternum and still managed to seal Orochimaru's hands and the first two hokages. Hands down, at a young age and 100% full power, he is the GOD OF SHINOBI!

Hashirama has mokuton, has healing techniques more advanced than Tsunade, and had control of tailed beasts.

Now please tell me how Hiruzen would win against that? From what we have seen, he would not win. Until the manga shows more of Hiruzen, I have to say Hashirama is stronger. I would be glad to change my opinion once they show more of Hiruzen.

exactly, no one knows a damn thing about hiruzen except the fact that he could summon enma and use the reaper death seal.
but all i know is the guy who created all of this, naruto manga and everything that goes along with it, Masashi Kishimoto would not title hiruzen as "The God of all Shinobi" if he didnt want to.
and a big plus: you guys should read Kishis interviews, in one particular Q & A, Kishi has stated in full awareness that as far as the strongest dead shinobis go, sandaime shares the top spot with yondaime. HA HA

Bad argument, the two former hokages were not even their true selfs. Hashirama didnt even use his flower technique, did not have his controlled tailed beasts, and worst of all it was in a small boxed barrier, disadvantage to the first. The second hokage did not even use his space time techniques.

yeah he took out the first and second along with all of oro's jutsu which ultimately led to oro's demise. sounds like a win to me.

you cannot say orochimaru defeated hiruzen because he didnt, he planned that attack on konoha for ages, made pacts with the sand to betray the leaf during chuunin exams, he probably looked for the dead bodies of shodaime, nidaime and yondaime for 10 years, and in the end he couldnt even kill a 90 year old hokage or do more than put a scratch on the hidden leaf. instead your god shodaime, and his brother were sealed away permanently by a 90 year old man, not to mention orochimaru lost all his jutsu due to losing his arms, and eventually he became extrememly weak and ended up getting taken out by sasuke until he too got sealed away permanently by the totsuka.
so if your saying that orochimaru won because he made sandaime sacrifice his life(he couldnt even kill him fair and square even with 2 hokage on his side lol), you seriously need to rethink your broken logic and eat some health food for your brain oro fanboy. laugh out loud

Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto has already stated that hiruzen and minato are stronger than the first and the second and madara. the question was about the strongest shinobi, and kishi replied as far dead shinobis go "hiruzen is up there with minato", again, i just wrote that same line for the third time now.
so if those of you that still believe shodaime is stronger than hiruzen, you are arguing with kishimoto himself. but still its an independent world so feel free to be as retarded as you want.
