Look at what he did to the Shinsuusenju with GIGANTIC elemental Jutsus - attacks like Fire-Ball but using every single element there is combined in one. He went toe to toe with the Shinsuusenju without a single problem, brother.

Hiruzen > Madara (whom got soloed by Black Zetsu - the biggest fodder in Naruto).
