So let me guess; you want all of us to share your views to give her some kind of pass because of the fact that she's a side character? I recall Sasori being one as well. With far less panel time. Love these typical excuses from you lot.
What is this garbage? Which part of her did Naruto valued that she didn't want to taint with some kind of development? Quieter and gentler means she shouldn't develop as a Shinobi? Should remain glued to her being, well, largely a burden in platoons? The girl couldn't even climb the wall - which genins can - in The Last. Instead, kept screaming for Naruto to save her. She would have plummeted to her death for her inability to perform even a basic tech? The rest of it is as absurd as your support. Quiet and gentle - the two words that say so much about her character, that one doesn't need any more development. Save it.
What about Pein arc? That one scene where she confessed? Let's all cheer for her Shakespeare depth that allowed for Naruto to nearly destroy the village. The Juubi arc where she simply slapped him, when we are all aware that Naruto was not going to jump alliances any time soon. The impact here on the plot is also monumental, give the tropes that she's well-known for as a character. Am I supposed to take this seriously?
Okay, I am chuckling now. There are plenty of characters that come across opponents who are stronger than them. Fighting against all odds - you just managed to define almost every character in the manga. Yeah, that got her so far. Not able to use chakra to climb a wall in The Last and still struggling with 64 palms - barely managing it - and no Kaiten. This whole mantra of 'but she fought against all odds, she never gave up, she is so kind and gentle' must be your definition of character depth. It's rather nauseating with this pointless paltry speech, when she's still basically stuck at the same mediocrity where she began from.
That irony, when someone cannot tell the difference between pep talk and actual emotional support. That was actually always Iruka for Naruto. Now you are just wasting my time with this long tripe. Learn the difference.
How many of these claims are unsubstantiated? Coming from a guy who doesn't even know what a stock character is, this nonsense is obviously expected. By hey, it goes hand in hand with your Naruto and Minato adoration. One shouldn't expect anything less. Claims she doesn't give up? As if that is a prerequisite for a well-written character. She is meek, so we should all abide by your garbage. Posts two pitiful instances that had no impact on the overall plot-value and her stock character moments.
Why don't you go and research first and then waste someone's time?
@first paragraph bolds. Looks like someone needs to reread my post. I said "Quitter." Acknowledging a character fault. You can't have growth without a flaw to begin with. If anything, it's good she had problems.
@ Last bold AAAAAANNNNNNNDDDDDD we're done. I'm not sure if you've heard of this concept before called "talking is a means of communication and can effect one's mental state" because it would seem that you expect Hinata to go into god mode to alter Naruto's soul with supernatural powers, in which case, you'd still claim that she isn't supporting Naruto. No point in arguing with someone who can't even understand a simple concept such as the fact that words can convey feeling and can reaffirm someone. You've confirmed yourself to be nothing more than a rapid hater.
A wolf came upon a lamb straying from the flock, and felt some compunction about taking the life of so helpless a creature without some plausible excuse. So he cast about for a grievance and said at last, "Last year, sirrah, you grossly insulted me." "That is impossible, sir," bleated the lamb, "for I wasn't born then." "Well," retorted the wolf, "you feed in my pastures." "That cannot be," replied the lamb, "for I have never yet tasted grass." "You drink from my spring, then," continued the wolf. "Indeed, sir," said the poor lamb, "I have never yet drunk anything but my mother's milk." "Well, anyhow," said the wolf, "I'm not going without my dinner." And he sprang upon the lamb and devoured it without more ado.-Aesop's fable.
You're the wolf, Hinata's the sheep. You've reversed our roles. You're the one who's wasting our time. This thread is talking about Hinata's potential if she were a MC. Your not obligated to hate on Hinata or hover around threads about her. My posts are the type that the OP had in mind. Talking about what we think she could offer. You're wasting my time with your hateful nonsense.
