Hinata should have been part of team 7

Hinata would be useful and NON-annoying enough to make Sasuke NOT go.
P1 Sasuke was all about Itachi, so Hinata's and Neji's family problems might make him reconsider the importance of his own revenge.
Especially if Exams go the same way.
Seeing how his teammate DID NOT go on a vendetta against HER brother, he might reconsider doing so himself as well.
Or maybe the whole STORY would be different and more Ootsutsuki-oriented already in P1 (or early Shippuden).
NOT an impossible scenario, mind you.

Sakura was on of the reasons it was so hard for him to leave, she was part of the reason he stayed.

1. Use WORDS.
These MEANINGLESS gifs are MEANINGLESS to people NOT familiar with their background meanings.
Which in the end, stinks of TROLLING.
And sometimes actually IS trolling.

2. WHO STAYED???
WHERE???
WHEN???

Meh.

Plot-no-jutsu.

If Sasuke needs to leave for the sake of the plot, he will leave - regardless of which girl is on Team 7. Kishi is God of this little universe and as they say; "Thy will be done."
  • Sasuke will defect from Konoha and join Orochimaru.
  • Girl of Team 7 will make a promise with Naruto to bring him back.
  • Girl of Team 7 will grow stronger in his absence and be desirous of 'catching up' to her team mates, and 'fighitng alongside' them.
  • Girl of Team 7 would ask Tsunade to help her grow stronger - Hinata wouldn't become Tsunade the Second, like Sakura did. Healer with Byakugan - I don't see how that can be a bad thing.
  • Girl of Team 7 would be aided by Lady Chiyo in defeating Sasori of the Red Sand - honestly, I think Hinata's Byakygan would null and void a lot of his bullsh*t.

Question: Why would Hinata be better than Sakura?
Short Answer: Because she's not a raging b*tch. Because Hinata has is - at her core - less selfish, significantly less cruel, is more likable and is proof that you don't have to be manly/flat chested to be a good fighter.

Hinata would never FORCE Naruto into something like PoaL - but she'd be there to AID him for sure.
As of her being a better MAIN heroine, she has the CLAN, the GENETIC LINEAGE, the FAMILY PROBLEMS, the PERSONALITY ISSUES, and the LOVE INTEREST - that Sakura DOESN'T.
Nuff said.

She would never become as strong as the boys even more so cuz shes a hyuga.

She would be Sakura reskinned. The basis of his story wouldn't change cuz of her, Naruto would still be main, sasuke would be rival, hinata would be his love interest that he would never get. The problem is not the character the problem is the author.

Debatable.
Sure, most likely she would NOT go the "sacrificial love victim" role she did in canon - but then again, there's always the "supportive teammate girlfriend" role she could still go anyways.
And both roles are equally potentially promising.
You better look over the Manga Fact Sakura did not make a decision to take Ninja life style seriously till after Sasuke left and Sakura went study under Tsunade to get Her Sasuke-kun back. Had Sasuke not left Sakura would still be the unless fangirl of before.

The same answer to both:
I was talking about Hinata, not Sakura.
And I was talking about the CANON Hinata getting into new conditions, NOT rewriting her to become Sakura with different hair color.
She'd still be a Hyuuga; be too kind to be a proper ninja initially; be smitten with Naruto, yet too shy to approach him (but this time she'd be put with him on a constant basis); have problems with her father due to her nature; have problems with Neji due to the incident; etc.
She'd still be Hinata, not Sakura.

and that's it. Besides, you nor anyone can change what happened, so continue to hurt your head over what could have been because it will never be now.

Not exactly. If there's one thing established with Sasuke, it's that he'll find some way to justify his vendetta. He'd probably say "You merely were rejected. Your bonds were cut off. That's nothing compared to having them and loosing everyone at the hands of someone close bla bla bla." I agree Hinata would be a better main female, but she certainly wouldn't change Sasuke.

I wouldn't say she doesn't - as a character - have the potential to change/affect Sasuke, plot-no-jutsu aside.

I think she bares some resemblence to Sasuke pre-massacre (as I've stated before) - the sibling who was considered weaker, less than ideal, not as perfect, overshadowed by and looked down upon by their father.
Personality too, I suppose. Eager to please, laughing/kind and good natured - not stoic, cold and all things desirable in chibi shinobi.

In my head, she has the best stand point (in Part I) to actually be meaningful to Sasuke, to form bonds with - BECAUSE SHE ISN'T HIS FANGIRL.
It could have been an epic demonstration in girl/boy platonic friendships - a sister-figure (Hinata is that to many, so feasible).
Because she has had real hardships in her life, because she knows loneliness (of a sort), because out of all the others she is (truly) someone who has things in common with Sasuke - loathe as he'd be to admit it.

It could have worked especially well if Sasuke had been there to see his team mate fight her 'nii-san' at the Chunin Exams, ne? Would bring back memories.

True, but this is with the assumption that the potential would be used properly.

That would destroy the entire purpose of the team. The only reason kakashi got team seven was because it was just like how his team was. If hinata was on team seven then that'll mean Sakura would be ln team what? Six? Also there's no way tsunade is training hinata, defeating the sannin purpose. IDK Naruto is the happy go lucky type, hinata is the shy type (back in part one) and sasuke us the cold yet cool type. I'm not even sure if that goes together but whatever. At least Naruto would've been with hinata much sooner and sasuke would just have...karin? I think, more or less? Dream team is still sasuke, lee, and neji. Everyone is getting wrekt.

No, no and NO.

Kakashi got the Sharingan user as the only even slightly reasonable reason behind getting the team, if at all.
Hinata OR Sakura has nothing to do with it.

Sakura would be under Kurenai, which would enable her to actually become the genjutsu expert she was hyped as in P1.
This would be one Sakura I would actually like, given her ability to manifest the Inner already.
She'd become the more canon Yakumo, lol.

The Sannin purpose is pretty secondary anyways, plus, there's zero logic preventing Tsunade from training Hinata, given her clearly good chakra control as a Hyuuga.
If anything, Tsunade training Sakura-the-nobody of all people, is a clear asspull based solely on PnJ, which is typical for Sakura throughout the series.

Being on another team, might actually benefit Sakura even with Sasuke - who'd be more inclined to stay in Konoha without being annoyed by her fangirlism, yet being able to connect to her the same way Naruto and Hinata did in canon.
Also, Kurenai had all the chances to turn Sakura into a competent kunoichi pretty fast, while Kakashi never even bothered with it.
It might lead to much quicker and BETTER NaruHina AND SasuSaku in the end.

It was never a question of making the STRONGEST team (which you might be right about) - but rather a BETTER PLOT and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
With THAT in mind, Hinata on T7 and Sakura on T8, is quite the best solution there can be for the CANON Hinata and Sakura.
