I've actually been saying this for a while. If Kishi had in mind to introduce the concept of the Ootsutsuki, and have only those of the lineage be relevant (or Kakashi getting a powerup from the lineage), then he really should have chosen Hinata has the female lead, as, inevitably, Sakura ended up being there for the sake of being there. Nothing shows that more than the team 7 moment with Kaguya. If he made Hinata a main, he could have had a female lead that could keep up with the others.(assuming proper development was used) Hinata's backstory was one that could blend in with Naruto and Sasuke's as well. Real shame. Sakura would be fine as a side character as most of her problems is that we expect much from her since she's a main, while Hinata has the potential of a main, but due to being a side character, she doesn't get as much screen time, so ends up being virtually only the inevitable girlfriend of Naruto and not much else.(after chunin exams) Both characters would be immensely better in each other's roles.

She should not have left Kishimoto's mind, let alone polluting the panels with her rubbish.

Yes, Sasuke, Sakura and Hinata would have been much better (Not to mention rampant SasuHina Shipping).

So, Naruto would be stuck with Kiba and Shino then?

For some strange reason, this makes sense.

Even Kishi himself said she would've made a better heroine.

Kishi could've killed two birds with one stone if he made Hinata the main heroine, besides obviously having more of an impact and maybe creating a better love triangle, he could've revealed more about the Hyuga clan and by making Sakura a side character, could've made her less hated.

But whatever, what's done is done.

Hinata is a side character that had such potential and had more back story than Sakura, but was utterly wasted because she showed once in a blue moon in the manga and Sakura was a main character that didn't really have any representative quantities of a MC but was rather forced down our throats as a MC.

It's a shame, really. Kishi could've done so much better with his female roles.

Kishi thought so it, it would seem, but in the end he stuck with Sakura. big mistake tbh

couldnt agree more Lol

I mean if he had HInata better story
Naruto is half senju(since all hokages have linage with ashura) and half uzamki
senju vs uchiha
uzamki vs hyugas

body vs eyes
one is friend the other is lover
both sasuke and hinat hvae special name with noodles (best friend and secret lover)
both sasuke and hinata are the only two jumped in the middle to save noodles
both hinata and sasuke are the only one who have closed family memeber died
both family member aka neji and itachi have strong conection with noodles

Imagine the love traingle between hina-sasu-naru
Hinata nad sasuke heir to the eys clan
hinata likes noodles but sasuke likes her
but finally hinata ends up with sasuke cause noodle just wants her as rebound chick
seriously kishi ruined his manga making sakura as the main, she indeed was shitty character

I might not have been much better since Kishi doesn't know how to develop female characters.

No, her abilities were suited for her team. and if would've have made a difference really, Kakashi wasn't going to teach her shit,
Though in a short amount of time, Sakura would've surpassed Kunerai in genjutsu.

Kakashi= Dojutsu user

Kurenai= Genjutsu specialist

Hinata= Dojutsu user

Sakura= Genjutsu affinity

They would have been perfect on opposite Teams.

Hinata would have made a much better heroine given her background, relevant lineage, kekkai genkai, and personality. I'm not saying Hinata is a better character than Sakura, but anyone who denies that Hinata had/has a better basis to be a main character is just in denial, just like Sasuke and Naruto, she too is one of Kaguya's descendants. Her background would have made it easier to develop bonds and understanding between the three, unlike Sakura, who could never understand how Naruto and/or Sauske felt. Her dojutsu and lineage would allow for easy power ups to be created by Kishi and make it easier for her to stay reevant to the plot through being the reincarnation of someone. Her family issues could have laid the grounds for some very good character development and Hyuga clan development. Overall, Hinata has what it takes to be the main heroine of a manga where only lineage is relevant, Sakura does not.

Eh, Byakugan and Sharrigan are far too different though. Sasuke was Kakshi's only priority, though Hinata does have the same lighning elelemnt as kakashi.
Kakashi would've still train Sakura, him having a sharrigan would make him her perfect teacher especially with her chakra control. He would've taught her some genjutsu, and water and earth attacks but he didn't. lol, he would treat hinata no differently.

While kunerai would've been a great teacher, Sakura skills are too superior to be teamed with Shino and Kiba. they don't work together.

All. Of. This.
Hinata has better background story, better genes and better plot relevance for Team 7 than Sakura.
Sakura would have been much better as a secondary character under Kurenai, including actually becoming IMPRESSIVE for HER own skills.
Kishi ruined it big time.

Manga ended with her being irrelevant so all you are writing is just fanfic which has no chance of seeing light of day

Yes, RIGHT.
A member of an actual clan with a serious inside problem. (Sakura doesn't even have canon parents, and her biggest drama outside getting Sasuke's ****, was her huge forehead, loool.)
An actual direct descendant of Kaguya. (Sakura is genetically a total fodder.)
An actual dojutsu user. (Sakura has none, nor any other "abnormalities".)
Someone initially in love with the main character. (Sakura is in love with the major secondary character, lol.)
Someone who managed to make huge character development even in the little panel time she got. (Sakura relapsed in the end to her initial fangirl state, loool.)
All in all, Hinata was a manageable character even as a secondary one, now imagine her being the main with the same initial parameters.
Oh, and Hinata-haters never made canon sense, so I'll just ignore their banter.

That would have been boring . Hinata bearly speak and when she does she say her famous line "naruto-kun"

For me Adding another famous clan in the team won't Make it better . I like hinata as a side character .

I watched and loved the show because of team 7 . Thats not team 7 for me i wouldn't bother to read the manga without them.

Kishi thought so it, it would seem, but in the end he stuck with Sakura. big mistake tbh

Kishi thought so because the popularity not the "impact" of the story.

I know, doesn't change the fact that Hinata had better potential as a main heroine than Sakura given her background, lineage, backstory, clan, dojutsu etc .
