Tanjiro had already did half of this technique already so the first half was easy enough; taking his stance and channeling chakra to his hands he would repeat his assault from before. After the first sixteen strikes tanjiro would then double that and preform sixteen more in rapid fashion. To simplify things he would just preform two extra strikes to the areas he had already struck; either side of the chest, stomach, kidneys, and the shoulders, and then the final two strikes would be aimed at the heart in the dead center of the chest.​

Once finished tanjiro would prepare for the next technique, which would be the simplest one he has preformed. So to spice it up just even a little tanjiro once more called upon his ninken. Signaling with a whistle, nezuko rushes the clone and knocks it into the air. Following up tanjiro would leap into the air after the clone, channeling chakra into his palm as he does. Now above the clone he would thrust his infused palm into the chest of the clone, releasing his chakra into the clones chakra point and sending the clone plummeting back into the earth.​

For the first attack, Tanjiro repeated the lesser version attack, doubling it. And for the second one, he utilised his ninken again.

Excellent, you seem to be taking to this field very well. You'll have this down in no time. The next technique, although weak, can be useful as it allows you to defend from weak attacks without moving. Simply gather chakra and release it from several tenketsu from only one part of your body, forming a shield of chakra. You can't use this over your whole body though, just on a spot where an attack may be landing. If the opponent makes contact with it, they will receive damage. Here, try it on the clone.

Description: The user exerts chakra from several tenketsu from a single part of their body, this chakra is gathered roughly ten centimeters away from the user's skin and forms a small shield of chakra, no bigger than twice the size of an average palm conveniently useable as a way to block tai/kenjutsu attacks (upto B-Rank) but is weak to elemental techniques as it's merely raw chakra which does not require advanced chakra manipulation. If the opponent makes physical contact with the shield they will suffer slight damage across the part of their skin which connected with it. The shield itself is no bigger than twice the size of an average palm and can block Tai/Kenjutsu attacks up to B-Rank as well as Elemental attacks up to C-Rank within reason.

Next, channel chakra in your feet, before stomping the ground. A wave of chakra will be released, which travels above ground. When it touches the opponent, it will paralyse their feet. Additionally, you could also apply this via a direct kick to the opponent, where you force you chakra into their body to paralyse and injure them. This is stronger than the first option as it paralyses them for a bit longer.

A clone stood a few metres away from Tanjiro so the boy could try it out in any of the two versions he wished.

(Jūho: Tamashii Baindingu Saakuru) - Gentle Step: Soul Binding Circle

Description: The user channels chakra into one of their feet. Once they do, they will quickly stomp the ground and in the same motion, release a wave of chakra that quickly travels above ground surface. More specifically, the chakra manifests as a white omnidirectional ring that, upon contact with an enemy's body, the chakra will briefly paralyze their feet. It is similar to Palm Heel Strike, insofar as it causes one's muscles to be slightly damaged. This can also be applied through a kick, should it connect with the target, and forces the user's chakra into a specific bodily area with even more potent effects. The attack, itself, lacks tangible properties and ergo, phases through physical techniques (e.g., Earth and Water) without being hindered.

Finally, the last one of this rank, which has different levels of strength, just like the Revolving Heaven you learnt. Whilst spinning, instead of just releasing chakra out, you also shape it into sharp blades, so anyone who touches it will be torn up. I'll show you the strongest version, and you can perform it at a lower level.

Once again, Ryuu walked back a few metres to give more space, before gathering chakra and spinning his body. Additionally, he also shaped the chakra into sharp blades. After he finished and returned to his original position, a clone ran towards Tanjiro, trying to attack him.

(Jūken: Hakkeshou Kuuten) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm Grating Heaven

Description: A variant of Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven whereby the user follows the same process but also shapes the outputted chakra into razor sharp blades. Ergo, those struck by it are not repelled by concussive force but are instead subjected to being reduced to small shreds by coming into contact with what is akin to a giant revolving grater.

Note: B-rank is short-range while each rank thereafter increase the range by one level.

Tanjiro would stretch slightly as it felt like he hadn't moved, must be some slight fatigue. Facing the oncoming clone, tanjiro would ready up to receive the attack. As the punch is thrown he would quickly channel chakra into the area in front of his chest, using said chakra he would create a small shield just big enough to stop the punch being thrown. As the clone makes contact with the shield it would absorb the blow and deal slight damage to it causing it to poof away.

Not wasting much time Tanjiro would immediately launch into the next attack. He would channel chakra into his and stomp the ground. With this action Tanjiro would release the gathered chakra causing an omni directional ring to explode outward from the area of the stomp. The ring would quickly makes its way towards the clone and once it made contact with the said clones feet would cause them to be paralyzed, unable to move.

This next one was similar to one Tanjiro had already performed so it should be easy. To begin he would simply spin in place, as he did he would start to exert charka from all points. Using the chakra he would shape it into a dome all around him, instead of stopping there he would continue to shape the dome of chakra to grow razor sharp blades all along the surface. The clone would make contact and easily be torn to shreds.

Ryuu wrote in the air again.

Excellent, excellent. Now we're getting to stronger techniques that require more chakra. This first one is similar to ones you've already done before, but just stronger. Instead of 32 tenketsu like before, you will now aim to strike 64 tenketsu. By the end of the attack, the opponent's chakra supply and flow will be affected. Of course, they will also suffer damage.

A clone came forward to be attacked.

(Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō) - Protecting Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms

Description: A potent Gentle Fist maneuver that capitalizes on the user's Byakugan to envision an Eight Trigrams circle, which sets the stage for the foe within this circle to be hit by a huge series of precise strikes aimed at sixty-four tenketsu that comprise a portion of their chakra pathway system. Each successful strike halts the flow of chakra that ordinarily passes through the given tenketsu and makes chakra control a much harder endeavor. The recipient of this move will be rendered unable to user more than 35 chakra in individual attacks, which includes those with applied passives, for two turns. Beyond that effect, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 25% for four turns.

Next, you will target the eight gates that are specific to the EIG mode by striking them, which stops the flow of chakra. However, if you strike only the top most gate, the flow of the lower gates will not be halted. Any gates higher than a gate you strike get halted. So if you strike the bottom-most gate, then they are all halted in their flow.

As Ryuu explained this part, he also pointed to the locations of the different gates in his body. Tanjiro could see this due to his Byakugan. After his explanation, another clone came close to the boy to be tested upon.

(Juken: Hakkeshō Hachimon Hougeki) - Gentle Fist: Eight Triagrams Eight Gates Assault

Description: A specialized derivative of Eight Trigrams that targets the tenketsu specific to the Eight Inner Gates (EIG) mode. The user strikes the gates one by one with their gentle fist taijutsu to completely halt the flow of chakra that would otherwise pass through. This effectively enables the user to prevent the tenketsu from being opened or even close any tenketsu that are opened. In addition, closing an individual tenketsu will prevent the target from not only being able to access the corresponding gate but any higher gate as well. Conversely, targeting a higher gate will not curtail one's access to lower gates.

Next we are going to be looking at a useful technique which is similar to the Kaiten. However, unlike the Kaiten, this technique is weak to elemental techniques as it does not utilise shape manipulation. However, it can break you out of illusions, albeit only low-ranked ones. To perform, you simply just expel chakra from every tenketsu on your body to dispel something. Give it a try.

(Jūken: Ichigekimi) - Gentle Fist: One blow Body

Description: A technique born from the Hyuga clan's intrinsic ability to expel chakra from every tenketsu on their body, a clan member can hit their opponent with a blast of chakra that will send them flying away from the user. It was also shown that this technique can be used with pin-point accuracy to target the weak point of a technique exemplified when Neji Hyūga was trapped by Kisame Hoshigaki's Water Prison Technique, and was able to dispel it.

Tanjiro would assume the stance to begin his assault against the poor unfortunate clone. The assault would start out by channeling chakra into his hands and performing two quick strikes to the clones arms disabling them, following that up is four swift strikes to the legs. With the clones appendages now useless the rest of the strikes would be aimed mostly at the center of the body; eight, sixteen, thirty-two, sixty-four strikes all together with the final strike being a massive hit to the direct center of the chest.

Same as before Tanjiro would assume the stance. This performance would be similar to the one just performed but with much less strikes and with a more focus on certain tenketsu. Swiftly and with purpose Tanjiro would perform right strikes, one for each of the gates; he would start with the gates of opening and healing located either side of the clones head. Next he would move onto the gates of Life and pain. Working his way down he would move onto the next set of gates; limit and view. To finish the sequence he would then strike the gates of wonder and death.

After those two technical moves Tanjiro was glad to perform a somewhat simple move. This time he did not assume his normal stance but instead he raised his hand so that his index finger was pointing at he clone and his thumb pointing upwards toward the sky. He would then begin to gather chakra into the tip of his index finger; after building up enough it would explode forth much like a bullet from a gun. The clone would catch the blast of chakra at point blank causing it to be sent flying away.

Ryuu watched Tanjiro perform all the techniques. He was a little surprised at the boy's attempt at the last one, not realising that it could be performed like that.

I suppose that's an interesting way of doing that last technique. It works I guess. Next, coat one of your hands with dense chakra until it turns white. Then make several swipes at the opponent before clapping your hands. The force from the clap will cause a large blast from the chakra which repels the enemy away and injures them. One thing to know here is that the swipes you perform are as strong as elemental techniques. Try it out.

(Hakuro Tenbu) – Heavens Dance of Hazy White

Description: The user begins by coating one of their hands with dense chakra and so much so that the chosen hand turns white in color. They then proceed to take several swipes at the opponent and conclude their assault by clapping their hands. The resulting clap has the formally dense chakra expand outwards with concussive force that follows a conical blast radius. Prior to this clap, the several swipes are on par with elemental techniques of the same rank.

Now gather chakra in your hand and release it towards the clone as a high speed thrust through your palm. Target the organs and soft tissues. Alternatively, you can use both hands to do this, which makes it stronger. Choose which one you want to do one this clone.

Another clone came rushing forward.

(Hakke Kūshō) Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm
Type: Offensive

Range: Short-Mid/Short-Long
Chakra: 30-40
Damage: 60-80
Description: The user precisely pinpoints the enemy's vital points with the Byakugan and releases a high-speed palm thrust. A "vacuum shell" compressed using the Gentle Fist style is formed to attack the opponent's organs and soft tissue from a distance, blowing them off their feet with tremendous force before they even notice they were hit. In order to attain more power and range (S-rank) then a variation of this, Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm Wall, necessitates that both hands are used. In this case, a more potent wave of compressed chakra is released with great force from both palms, simultaneously. And the result from this can be increased damage to not only the foe's targeted organs and soft tissue but also their hard tissue (e.g., bones). Of course, this variation has sufficient force to send a foe careening as far as five meters.

Assuming the stance once more Tanjiro begins to channel chakra into both of his palms. So much chakra gathers that they begin to glow a dense white. With the clone now within striking distance Tanjiro would begin his attack; first he would swipe upwards with his left hand across the clones chest and then the same with his right hand but in a horizontally instead of vertically, both swipes making a sort of cross pattern. Finally, he would perform a third attack with both hands bringing them down across the chest of the clone once more, this time creating an X-shaped pattern. To capped the whole display off Tanjiro would simply clap both hands and create a massive force that sends the clone flying back.

Tanjiro would begin this next move by cupping both hands together, to any on-looker it would almost look like he was holding an invisible sphere. He would then pull his arms down so that his hands were near his hip as he began to charge chakra into both hands. With enough chakra charged Tanjiro would simply thrust both hands forward, palms out one on top of the other, releasing all of the gathered chakra into one massive blast of energy, with him using both palms it would increase the power of the move significantly.

Very impressive Tanjiro. Now once again you will increase the power of a technique already learnt. Instead of 64 strikes, you now have to strike 128 tenketsu in the opponent, although this is done at twice the speed of the lesser version, which means they both end up taking the same amount of time to perform. The chakra flow will be reduced in the target.

(Juken: Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms

Description: A doubled version of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms technique, but also performed at twice the speed of the latter. This is used to close off the flow of chakra through one hundred twenty-eight chakra points of an opponent's Chakra Pathway System. This eliminates their ability to use B-rank and above levels of chakra for two turns while also making it difficult for them to move. Alternatively, it can be used to quickly hit multiple targets.

Next, bring both your hands to the sides whilst cupped, gathering chakra into concentrated points on both palms before thrusting your palms forward and releasing the chakra. It will increase in size and power as it travels towards the target, and when it hits it,, the chakra will come out from their back in a narrow beam before enlarging into a large wave which will greatly injure the opponent and halve the chakra supply.

(Jūken: Hakke Hazan Hogeki) – Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Crumbling Mountain Palm

Description: The user begins with cupped hands that are drawn to their side while a large quantity of chakra is being rapidly concentrated into a single point in their palms. They then thrust their palms forward to strike the enemy while discharging the chakra, which increases in both power and size as it continues. Upon striking the foe, the chakra appears to burst from their back in the form of a narrow beam that quickly enlarges into a mountain-busting wave. Not only does this inflict tremendous harm unto the foe, it momentarily cripples the victim as they lose access to half of their current chakra supply.

Lastly, gather chakra in both your hands again and release it in the form of lion-shaped shrouds which envelop your hands. This can be used in conjunction with any of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-four Palms that you have learnt, and they increase the strength of those techniques. You can also use them with Taijutsu techniques which will also become stronger. Try it out with any of those that you wish.

Once again a clone rushed towards the boy.

(Jūken: Jūho Sōshiken) - Gentle Fist: Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists

Description: The user exudes chakra from both hands and by utilizing advanced chakra control, mold the chakra into a form highly reminiscent of large guardian lion-shaped shrouds to greatly increase both the range and destructive power of their taijutsu. These lion-shaped shrouds are able drain the chakra network of those they touch and can be used in conjunction with any of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms variants, increasing the damage by 30 while sacrificing the ability to limit chakra usage. But that being said, it is quite difficult to achieve this move and even a minute error with regards to chakra control will result in failure.

Note: Lasts up to three turns per use and has a three-turn cooldown.

By now the Eight Trigrams family of moves had started to become second nature to Tanjiro. This display would be the smoothest one yet as Tanjiro would finally start to show that he was very close to mastering this style. Launching his assault Tanjiro would begin with two strikes to the tenketsu of the legs followed by four to the arms, spread evenly between either. From there Tanjiro would launch into a flurry of blows all centered around the center of mass of the clone; eight, sixteen, thirty-two , sixty-four, one hundred and twenty-eight blows in total would be throw before Tanjiro was finished and the clone poofs away.

Yet another simple technique, at least compared to the last one, Tanjiro thought. He would begin by cupping both hands down towards his sides and wait for the clone to get as close as possible. Using his byakugan he would dodge any and all attacks the clone could possibly throw at him, all the while charging chakra into his palms. Then Tanjiro would thrust both of his palms into the chest of said clone and released the gather chakra that had been consolidated into a single point. The chakra would erupt into a narrow beam coming out of the clones back, only growing larger as time passed. Once it subsided the clone would simply poof away.

For this demonstration Tanjiro would take up a power-up stance with his arms by his side fist clenched. He would then begin to channel a mass of chakra into both of his fists until they both begin to glow. With enough gathered he would begin to shape the chakra, it was kinda slow as Tanjiro could just not get the lions heads to manifest. After what seemed to be an eternity Tanjiro decided to try a different approach. Instead Taniro would use an image he was very familiar with; applying this image to the chakra it easy molded to Tanjiros will. Now standing there both hands covered not in the visage of a lion but that of a dog.

Almost immediatly Tanjiro would put his new found powers to the test. Tanjiro would repeat the Eight Trigrams one hundred twenty-eight palms, but this time he would perform it even faster and smoother. Every blow would be precise and carry tremendous wait. Tanjiros movements would be breathe taking as he seemed to dance around the clone. Time itself would seem to stop until the final blow was dealt and it resumed and only then would it seem like the clone took damage. It would be obvious to anyone watching that the whole style of fighting had finally resonated with the young boys soul.

As Tanjiro performed the final techniques, Ryuu watched him in awe. So graceful and precise. Compared to when they had first started, Ryuu could see a lot of improvement. The boy had now mastered the ways of the clan. Clapping happily, he wrote on the air.

Excellent! I have good news for you. You've completed all the Hyūga clan techniques! Now go out there and show them who the strongest clan is. Before you leave, do you have any questions young man?

Now that the training was over Tanjiro was finally able to relax and plopped down onto the ground. Nezuko sensing that the training came trotting over to receive some much needed attention after being ignored for so long.

Patting nezuko tanjiro would simply reply "No, but I'll be sure to bug you if I do." He said with a slight smirk. Standing back up tanjiro would bow in thanks for sticking with him for the complete training.
