Agreed to an extent, I don't believe they are capable of matching Madara (with Kurama) and Ashura hasn't a chance against a character with massive reserves, healing capabilities, and the power to shut down bijuu and raw chakra.
While genetics are important, they don't play as large a role as one might think. Hashirama and Madara came at a much later time; One where ninjutsu was more refined and more techniques and strategies developed. It's like asking a Spartan to fight a Navy Seal. Both strong in their own rights, but one just has all the years of (failed and) successful strategies others developed to help them, adding in on a bit of a knowledge factor.
They're probably close to the Vote fighters level, but really. From what we've been hinted at with both of them, and what we've SEEN from Madara and Hashirama... It's kind of obvious.
This thread is a pile of horseshit. We have seen ONE panel of indra/ashura fighting and you are already jumping to conclusions? I have a feeling that in the coming chapters, the sage is going to show memories of more of the fight, and it's going to be on a completely different scale to what we have seen in the manga.(I could be wrong though) Btw, when we saw the first panel of hashirama and madara fighting, it was madara's gunbai vs hashirama's sword.
Oh, and based on the one panel alone, we know that indra has PS, so at the absolute WORST, he's equal to EMS madara without the kyuubi. And ashura was nonchalantly tossing 6 black things that could be bijuu bombs or onmyouden. I don't know for certain if they are as strong as Madara and Hashirama, but it's stupid to assume that they are NOT strong.(which is what you were saying, which is dumb)
As of now, they're weaker. Many people have been saying that the Sage's children are extremely powerful (They are,) but they're being put up against monsters of a different era and stated ti win against them. Several top tens came out bumping Hashirama to seven, or around there...because of that single panel of the two children.
It's not entirely unreasonable to want to make a thread clearing up, or stating his (KingHashirama's) view on these things.
