in my opinion, I don't see how Garp could win. I know he's a "legend" but Aokiji is a freakin beastly ice-monster. I'm not sure how Garp got to be a Vice-Admiral, but even so he was a vice-admiral while Aokiji was an Admiral.. Aokiji is a higher rank and he's a Devil Fruit user.. maybe if I saw Garp using some outrageously awesome abilities, i'd say he wins but from what I've seen, it's gotta be Aokiji/Kuzan

Baka. He was asked to be admiral but refused because he wanted freedom. Garp fought on par with Gol D Roger.

Garp turned down Admiral position .. He trained Kuzan ........ He fought with the strongest AND RAISED MONSTERS Ace and Luffy Sabo

Garp is one those people who you would doubt his strength he will be just like Tobirama watch soon he will fight and everyone will be like Prime Garp solo the world xD
Garp is too much for Kuzan.
Sengoku himself had to stop Garp from stomping Akainu after Ace died (and both knew he was completely capable of doing it)
Garp one shotted the second strongest Whitebeard Pirate (Marco), something the Admirals couldn't manage.
Garp fought Roger, so it's safe to say he's equal to Prime Whitebeard and Roger. And unlike WB, he hasn't shown any signs of old age affecting his combat ability.
Garp wins mid diff, but Kuzan could give him a good fight if he stays long range.

the thing is, I haven't SEEN Garp do anything super awesome. so I haven't seen his actual power. and i'm just the type of person who likes to see someone's power before I decide how strong I think they are. I don't like going based off reputation or what that person is said to have done in the past. if I saw Garp actually fight and totally kick ass, I might think differently.. and the marco thing isn't enough.. but at the moment, when I said I don't see how he could win, that's what I meant. I can't see it because I don't know his power, his fighting style, I don't know what he's capable of or how strong he is, regardless of whether he's said to have fought equally with Roger back in his hey-day. Also, I just don't think having Haki means he automatically wins either. so it's not like I think it's impossible for Garp to win, nor do I think it's cuz Kuzan is simply super powerful, but from what I've seen each of them do, Kuzan would take it right now. that's just what I think right now

One shotted Marco. Threw 30 tonne cannon balls at Luffys ship. Fought on par and cornered Gol D Roger many times. He's the strongest marine ever ( by feats , reputation , hype : out of all marines only Sengoku could give him a good fight. ) , His power is based on haki and physical strength. Because he keeps training he isn't getting any weaker.

But I think Momonga could defeat someone worth 500 million. It would be more impressive if Garp was 19 just like Luffy.

I'm going to agree with most and say Garp.
His haki is far too superior to Kuzans to even give Kuzan an opening for an attack.
Although I do think it would be a close fight.

He caught Marco off guard who was flying towards and focused only on Ace. And Marco stood up right away with pretty much no injuries. How is that one-shotting?
Jozu has way better strength feats. And He got defeated by Kuzan. Though, I'll give you that Kuzan caught Jozu off guard, but he would've won anyway. Throwing 30 ton cannon balls isn't really that impressive.
Yes, but that doesn't mean prime Garp = Prime Roger. Think about it this way: Crocodile fought with Luffy on par three times, but that doesn't mean Prime Luffy= Prime Crocodile, right? The only one who rivaled prime Roger was Whitebeard. Manga fact.
Now you're getting ridiculous. It was stated more than one time that the three admirals (pre-time skip) were the strongest fighting force of the marine. So Kizaru, Kuzan, and Akainu> Old Sengoku & Garp. I won't get too much into prime Garp & Sengoku
He trains other people. That doesn't really mean he keeps training and pushing himself.
Show me a manga scan that this is true
Or he was afraid that Garp would suffer the same faith as Whitebeard? With that I mean Garp's half face burned off and dead.
