Gaara is a long range fighter all Itachi's known genjutsu are short range.



Gaara can pull Itachi out of Susanoo(he doesn't need Onoki for this, Onoki just reduced the amount of exertion he'll need for this) and crush him. He can avoid Yasaka's Magatama and Totsuka by riding his sand to remove himself out of the way(it was fast enough to dodge Amaterasu)



Gaara can block Amaterasu with his defense(he did so against Sasuke's Amaterasu)


With no genjutsu(Tsukuyomi included) and no Amaterasu or Susanoo attacks, Itachi is dead, won't you agree? If not, tell me Itachi's options.


NOTE: He can't use water techs to destroy Gaara's sand, only oily water can accomplish this.

Exactly what are you basing this off of? Physical attacks are normally repelled by susano'o what makes you think the physical sand can bbypass this without the aid of Oonoki's jutsu? sounds like you're just bending facts to fit theories instead of bending theories to fit facts.

Sorry to double post. You say Itachi betrayed friends? his greatest friend was Shisui and he did everything he could to stay true to him and his ideals. as far as we know he had more disdain for the rest of the clan due to their power hungry ways. Sure these were his clansmen and family but nothing has shown he betrayed his friends....he was the ultimate patriot for the village.

I can see how you'd interpret the last bit as only saying he would implying he didn't but the first two pages confirm that he went through with it. itachi didn't solo the clan. He's an amazing shinobi a greater genius not seen since the 4th or Shisui perhaps...but he had help with the clan.
