I take a therapy session after reading each of your threads just to insure I stay adequately intelligent.
They were living in an unfit form of Darwinism. The fittest arrived and Dominated.
That said, There is no guilt to feel. The romans burnt people alive in metal bulls, but because they're were the same color they were revered. I just love hypocrisy, that's all.
Does it really bother you that much when people try to make you feel 'guilty'? I swear to God, conservatives are always talking about people being oversensitive but they're the f*cking same.
As for all this talk about "white guilt", I completely side with you. I'm black, but the thought of today's and the future's white people feeling bad for the terrible acts their ancestors did is ridiculous. If I were white, I'd ROFLMAO if anyone expected me to feel guilty for shit that happened in the past that had absolutely nothing to do with me. It makes no sense.
Slavery of African(s) [Americans], for example...there's no one yet living who had anything to do with it. There remain no more slave masters or slaves. Therefore, I really wish Hollywood would kill it with the movies on American slavery. Well, only if the studio's purpose is to create more white guilt. If those movies continue to be made just for education's sake, then so be it.
Other black people would call me a "coon" or "Uncle Tom" for agreeing with you, but I simply wouldn't give a damn. I was fortunate enough to grow up in diverse areas and have had friends of every ethnic group.I'm on the side of truth and reason. I'm actually surprised that I'm even joining this discussion because debating ethnicity-related topics is beneath me. Guess I just wanted to make it clear to you that not all black people are pro-white guilt.
Is what I said incorrect? The Europeans were clearly superior, that's fact. The Natives didn't have domesticated animals or the wheel. When you say stuff like this, it pretty much outs you as someone who enjoys all the slaughter and hate. You shouldn't feel guilty because of stuff people did centuries ago, you should feel guilty because of the crap you're spewing here and now.
Literally, this is you OP:

The video is hyper-defensive. Like I said, most of this is common af knowledge. But the video feels a need to justify what the Europeans did because the creators are mad insecure. Which is just, dumb. Modern constitutions and international charters exist to prevent, condemn, and punish any such thing today. So obviously we'd condemn the past. It's just people like you who want to bring the beat back and prevent any kind of advancement.
If the Romans are "revered," that's not the fault of people who condemn colonization and genocide. XD It's called the Roman Empire, it's not like we pretend they weren't highly violent. Again, hypersensitive, the only hypocrisy is the hypocrisy you construct to fit your agenda.
Nobody even posting threads like "Look how bad the Europeans were" and "Look how crazy conservatives are." Practically every thread on current events and history in this forum is posted by trolls trying to get a rise out of people, or plain conservatives. There ain't any guilt being spread around. Conservatives even more sensitive than leftists, man.
White guilt is a myth. Nobody gives a s*** what white people - or anybody - feels in their deepest of hearts. People just want everyone to stop revising or justifying the past. That's not the same thing as guilting. If you have nothing to do with people who lived generations ago, then you shouldn't feel bothered about admitting and condemning what they did, no?
The actual thing that happens is that people today point out the tangible consequences of things like slavery, segregation, colonization, etc. and conservatives and pretentious fools get really offended that you would say America isn't completely racially equal or that things America or Europe did in the past weren't totally justified. Point out racial or gendered inequality supported by research, and the kneejerk reaction is "WHY ARE YOU BLAMING US WAAAAAH." And this actually prevents progress and reform because those same people make legislative decisions and join organizations based on these immense feelings of unjustified butthurt. Or try to spread the hate like OP, and start talking about how killing is literally fine because of totally unsubstantiated arguments like "survival of the fittest."
As far as Hollywood goes, meh. But pretty much everything Hollywood does is nonsense anyway?
(As far as posting on topics on ethnicity goes, I mostly do it because I don't want anywhere I am to be somewhere where people feel comfortable wanking their race super hard while justifying violence and hate.)
Is what I said incorrect? The Europeans were clearly superior, that's fact. The Natives didn't have domesticated animals or the wheel.
It's hypocrisy to demonize a group of people who did exactly the same things they were doing to each other, because they were a different color.
I don't have to try to justify it, it's justified. You also act as if this forum is the only source of information white members see on these topics
Nobody even posting threads like "Look how bad the Europeans were" and "Look how crazy conservatives are." Practically every thread on current events and history in this forum is posted by trolls trying to get a rise out of people, or plain conservatives.
BTW empire isn't a specifically negative term.
Technologically superior, sure. Politically superior, I'll concede that. But there's no such thing as superiority that fundamentally justifies violence.
If you romanticize and wank, yeah, it's hypocritical.
If you say "Oh, this group of people were systematically ruined by the policies of another," no it's not...
If you argue "This could have gone better," no it's not...
If you argue "Violence is wrong, and ending violence with more violence isn't something we should celebrate," no it's not...
If you argue "The violence inflicted by and consequences of European colonization were far more severe than tribal struggles occurring in colonized areas of the time," no it's not...
Etc.
"My argument is self evident because it is"
...No I don't...? If you're bothered by crap on Tumblr or Reddit or something, that's fine, but there's stuff for everyone to be butthurt about everywhere. My statement was:
So in spite of there being information or claims in other sources that might hurt both the feelings of progressives and conservatives, leftists and right-wingers, blacks and whites, whatever - I only see people being defensive about conservatism and whiteness and feeling a need to make threads about it on this forum. I never claimed this is the only source that you could possibly get information from.
It's not implicitly negative, but it implicitly denotes violence and territorial expansion. At the very least, coercive force.
Yet in history class, we look back judgmental as **** like they knew any better
Pfffffffffff
This is the definition of being an apologist
They knew better. There was no gigantic evolution in the human brain that made people more capable of empathy today than they were even two millenia ago. There were always dissenters, against slavery, against colonization and its horrors (like the missionaries whom you so graciously mentioned), against the World Wars, against the Vietnam War, against the Iraq War. But the governments didn't have as many structures in place that demanded accountability like we do today, so they got away with it.
#NotAllEuropeans? Is that what you want? Sure. Obviously your average peasant, who comprised the overwhelming majority of the colonist and European population, wasn't involved in actually committing the violence. Is this not obvious? Do you need it spelled out for you? That said, they probably did adopt the bylines of God and Country. But not all of them did. Thus showing that they all knew better, or could have.
If the point isn't overwhelmingly obvious: We condemn the policies. Policies are enacted by governments. People who defend those policies are also complicit, but generally, we are talking about those in power who made selfish and inhumane decisions at the cost of human lives and dignity. And this is an extremely generous take on it. We know that straight up a lot of people just bought into and thrived on the racism for their own benefit.
Is it wrong for a government that holds other governments to a standard they hold themselves to
Is it wrong for a government that holds other governments to a standard they hold themselves to?
Was there a Mexican removal act? Or did we go to war for the land? The Indians lost, so by their own rules they give up the land.
Why should we hold them to a higher standard than they hold themselves to?
Why did you bring up Indians? We're talking about Native Americans.
I found a picture of Slimreaper.

Not at all.
Never once did I say anything that would subject white people to slavery. I am white myself, however I don't look down upon other races and constantly go out of my way to justify my race's superiority or division.
I simply say that we are all human. You know who else says that? Marcus Aurelius. Considered to be one of the greatest emperors of Rome.
"Constantly regard the universe as one living being, having one substance and one soul; and observe how all things have reference to one perception, the perception of this one living being; and how all things act with one movement; and how all things are the cooperating causes of all things which exist; observe too the continuous spinning of the thread and the contexture of the web."
"Men exist for the sake of one another. Teach them then or bear with them."
We're all humans who've evolved differences and are therefore different

The differences between races aren't significant enough, unlike bears. lol
Ok? What's your point? Even twins are different. No individual is the same as another.
The differences between races aren't significant enough, unlike bears. lol
Even if we have differences in skin color or nasal cavity, we're all still human and all our lives should be treated equally.
Tbqh as ridiculous as it is, being like the pic u posted is much preferable than being a KKK member.
