Absolutely spot on! I had a feeling at half time so I threw in a Live bet for S. Korea to win and my oh my did they win, talk about cutting my loses and turning it into profit, lol.

Still this is the 4th time in a row that reigning World Cup Champions goes out in the Group Stage, crazy!
What a cup bomb, my god. This World Cup has everything! Now I'm not even sure Brazil will take it, we shall see...
Fourth time in a row?? It just third time in a row. Ok let us look at it shall we,

- 2002 = France (previous champion) stop at group stage.
- 2006 = Brazil (previous champion) stop at quarter final. So Brazil managed to get out from group stage.
- 2010 = Italy (previous champion) stop at group stage.
- 2014 = Spain (previous champion) stop at group stage.
- 2018 = Germany (previous champion) stop at group stage.
- 2022 = Brazil (previous champion) winning this edition of World Cup in Qatar and subsequently defending their title (7 times World Cup Champion). :sdo:

So from 2010 to 2018, 3rd time in a row - 3 editions of world cup. Not fourth time. :sdo:

Only Brazil can escape from the curse. :win:

3rd time in a row, though the 4th time in the last 5 editions. Only Brazil in 2006 didn't suffer this shameful fate.

Lol Germany.

Mexico showing they still can’t handle the advantage they had. Luckily the round is 16 is win or go home games now. This World Cup is crazy and I love it.

Uruguay > Portugal
France > Argentina
Mexico > Portugal

On that bracket

Alright, the last day of the Group Stage is here!! My predictions;

Japan 0-1 Poland (Still belive in you Lewa, lol)

Senegal 1-3 Colombia

Panama 0-1 Tunisia (or 0-0 even)

And last but not least;

England 0-0 Belgia (or 1-1 or 2-2, IT WILL BE DRAW, mark my words, because they are true, lol)...

Lol, well at least we agree on Colombia xd

EDIT:

And there we have it, the first team in World Cup History to go out of Group Stage on Yellow Cards! O____O

I didn't get my 1-3 prediction right for the Senegal - Colombia game, but damn did I nail the 0-1 prediction for Japan - Poland =P :cool:

Now for England to draw and for Belgium to face Colombia in the Round of 16 ;) Good Luck Caliburn ;p

Sucks to be Senegal.

And yeah I was hoping the reserves would put on a show to prove themselves in England - Belgium, but in the end this is somewhat what I expected. I reckon the overall consensus was that if they get the opportunity, they will try to score, but outside that they will not do anything stupid and it's kind of hard to disagree. If it was that easy for players to say "today we will be otherworldly" football wouldn't be so unpredictable. Essentially the motivation was just confusing as wanting to lose is rather unnatural for them, but so is not wanting to win eagerly.

With that said 16 teams left.

Yup you said it. Beforehand this game reeked of a draw and could very well nearly have been it if that stupid motherf*cker Rashford didn't blow that sitter! Dammit, that goal was certain but nah, of course that trash blew it, cost me my entire bet. 1-1 there and it would certainly have died down into a draw. I hate this World Cup betting wise, lol, it's so damn harsh sometimes. But on the positive side, it's been one hell of a competitive one, that is for sure. Colombia is going to thrash England in the round of 16 for sure, no doubt in my mind about it. Time for those beer chuggers to go home!

I totally pictured Spain - Belgium in the Semi-final, but now I'm not sure they can overcome Brazil, we shall see indeed.

I'll throw in a prediction on who's going to go through here, and just focus on result as each games come on later... Bold = Going through to the Quarter Finals;

Portugal - Uruguay

- It's going to be tough but I still think Portugal can clinch it if their defense is solid, going to be hard and tight for sure. Most likely Extra time, maybe even penalties too, to decide.

Argentina - France

- I actually believe that France will make it but even so I still believe that they too have yet to prove themselves this tournament so it's pretty open, Extra time or penalies to decide. Also since I've chosen Portugal, I have to choose Argentina as well so that we can have Ronaldo vs Messi in the quarter-final.

Belgium - Japan

- Easy victory, no doubt about it.

Colombia - England

- Tough but England hasn't impressed me one bit and Colombia seems to have more to give. They'll win narrowly in normal time.

Spain - Russia

- Another easy victory.

Brazil - Mexico

- Depends on Brazil being Brazil as we know them and whether Mexico can shake off their big loss against Sweden. Open match but I'll say Brazil wins in Extra time.

Croatia - Denmark

- After Extra time, I'm certain.

Sweden - Switzerland

- The only one I consider to be hard for me to stand by, could either be a crushing win to Switzerland or Sweden continues that form from their two last games. I'll say Sweden since I'm Scandinavian, but don't bet on it! (even if I did, lmao).

Well this is belgium golden generation last chance for glory, i hate to see another golden generation being underachiever like Maldini's Italy and Portugal's Figo.

Its just that they got a clown for a coach, i mean Roberto Martinez... really ?

lol no chance, you probably have to deal with us at least up until the semi's :D Funny that you say England didn't impress, most people I talked to are impressed by our performances. A bit bitter towards us ay? ^^

Btw. Goal celebration of the Tournament??
