I'm gonna have to agree with most of them, althought I don't think we're gonna have "easy wins" at this point. Dunno.Yup you said it. Beforehand this game reeked of a draw and could very well nearly have been it if that stupid motherf*cker Rashford didn't blow that sitter! Dammit, that goal was certain but nah, of course that trash blew it, cost me my entire bet. 1-1 there and it would certainly have died down into a draw. I hate this World Cup betting wise, lol, it's so damn harsh sometimes. But on the positive side, it's been one hell of a competitive one, that is for sure. Colombia is going to thrash England in the round of 16 for sure, no doubt in my mind about it. Time for those beer chuggers to go home!
I totally pictured Spain - Belgium in the Semi-final, but now I'm not sure they can overcome Brazil, we shall see indeed.
I'll throw in a prediction on who's going to go through here, and just focus on result as each games come on later... Bold = Going through to the Quarter Finals;
Portugal - Uruguay
- It's going to be tough but I still think Portugal can clinch it if their defense is solid, going to be hard and tight for sure. Most likely Extra time, maybe even penalties too, to decide.
Argentina - France
- I actually believe that France will make it but even so I still believe that they too have yet to prove themselves this tournament so it's pretty open, Extra time or penalies to decide. Also since I've chosen Portugal, I have to choose Argentina as well so that we can have Ronaldo vs Messi in the quarter-final.
Belgium - Japan
- Easy victory, no doubt about it.
Colombia - England
- Tough but England hasn't impressed me one bit and Colombia seems to have more to give. They'll win narrowly in normal time.
Spain - Russia
- Another easy victory.
Brazil - Mexico
- Depends on Brazil being Brazil as we know them and whether Mexico can shake off their big loss against Sweden. Open match but I'll say Brazil wins in Extra time.
Croatia - Denmark
- After Extra time, I'm certain.
Sweden - Switzerland
- The only one I consider to be hard for me to stand by, could either be a crushing win to Switzerland or Sweden continues that form from their two last games. I'll say Sweden since I'm Scandinavian, but don't bet on it! (even if I did, lmao).
And colombia wasn't really convincting for me either, at least against Senegal. They trashed Poland but that's... Poland lol.
